Crowded, good sign. Wrong! Horrid service, tasteless sandwiches. Expensive. However, the bread was great!

Went here on a Friday to grab some coffee and do some work for a little while. There is an…read moreextensive coffee list and I was impressed to see that they had two regular drip coffee options and two decaf drip options. Not everyday you get this many choices for drip coffee! The drip coffee is a little more expensive, but you do get one free refill. I didn't end up getting any food, but the baked goods looked fantastic and the food coming out of the kitchen also looked pretty good. The place was pretty busy when I first got there around 10, but then cleared out to just a few people coming and going. The wifi held out strong for my Zoom meeting and getting some work done. Overall, good coffee, lots of variety of food and drinks, and staff was very friendly. Decent place to stop in Marshfield for work, study, or just meeting up with friends.

It hurts my soul to write this.. I have been going to The Daily Grind since I was a child. I…read morestudied for college tests here when I was home from school and I have tried to support them since living here as an adult. Every time I go, the service gets slower, the coffee quality is worse, and now even simple orders are inedible. Yesterday, at a time when there were maybe 3 other tables, I waited 40 minutes for my omelet and bacon. The omelet was closer to scrambled eggs, and the bacon so burnt it couldn't be eaten. As a cook, how can you turn this out to be eaten? And as a server, don't you question how terrible it looks and choose not to serve it. Ten years ago, 5 stars... standing alone yesterday I would have given it 3 or 4 and called it a fluke.. Now I am ONLY giving 2 because it holds nostalgia for me. I think my continued attempt to patronize The Daily Grind has come to an end :(

Sunday, 2/28/21 about 2:00 in the afternoon. We had tried to place an on-line order twice, but…read moreboth times it disappeared, so we went inside. The young lady came out to the counter and looked at us. I asked if the BOGO50 discount was available at the counter since the site did not appear to be retaining our order. She wasn't really sure, which was fine and we placed our order. What happened next was mind boggling! I have never seen anything like it. We needed three footlongs and a salad. She cut the bread for two of the footlongs and warmed up the meatballs. She placed some cold cuts and cheese on the counter. And then she started reading her sandwich monitor and making other sandwiches, and there was no one else in the place. After making 7-8, she ran out of counter space and was now holding a wrap in her hand and trying to make it that way and we asked: Are you just going to keep on making other sandwiches and leave us standing here? She said, "Yes! I am"! I asked her name, and she shouted that it was Taylor. We left and went to the Subway on the north end of Marshfield. A very pleasant person filled our order, and we were on our way. I have never placed a review before, but I will be sharing this experience with everyone that I meet.

As far as I've noticed its most subways in the area have basically gone completely down the drain…read more I honestly can't remember the last time I had good subway were the ingredients weren't stale and the bread wasn't the consistency of a cinder block.
