I was on this end of town waiting for a rifle I dropped off at LT Arms, right down the street. The hunger bug bit me so I loaded up my Jimmy John's app to see if one was close. What do you know? There was one in the Safeway shopping center a half mile away. I ordered up my favorite tuna sandwich via the app and a cookie. I hopped in my car and drive over. They were just putting my order on the pickup rack as I was walking through the door. So, from order to eating was ten minutes. That's exceptional in my book. I did notice the restaurant was clean and the girl I briefly spoke to was very pleasant. My sandwich was made perfectly and my cookie was yummy. I've never been to a Jimmy Johns until today. It's supposedly a nice and cozy place to get a quick sandwich to eat. Uncomfortably enough though, we were not greeted at all when we walked into the empty place. I figured since it's not a sit down restaurant I shouldn't expect too much from the service. The guy who took our orders didn't look up from the cash register at all and after we ordered our sandwiches, he said "can you tell me the number next to the name of the sandwich" I would understand if I just said the number of the sandwich and they need the name to process the food but he was so dedicated on staring at the cash register that he couldn't be bothered to look up at their own menu to answer a question that shouldn't be asked in the first place. Very odd. When he finished making our sandwiches he placed them on the counter and left immediately not asking if we need anything else or thanking us for stopping by. The sandwich itself tasted decent but according to my boyfriend, the sandwich is usually made much more neatly. Instead, his sandwich had meat spilling out pretty messily. First off, this review is specifically regarding the Jimmy John's location at 12482 W Ken Caryl Ave AA 1, Littleton, CO 80127. I've only eaten at Jimmy John's in other states a couple of times, and those experiences were just fine. That said, I ordered an East Coast Italian sub, Took it back to my hotel room nearby and ate it. It tasted OK. About an hour later I started feeling bloated, and queasy. By midnight I was in the throes of massive food poisoning, and all of the gruesomeness that entails. Needless to say it was a sleepless night. I'm still shaky and unbalanced as I set about my business for the day. I thought I would pay a courtesy call to the manager of that Jimmy John's to let him know to be on the lookout, and perhaps do a quick screening of his food before the lunchtime rush today. However manager Michael Cooper took my phone call as an attack, and before I had a chance to even tell him the specifics of my ordeal, he was pushing back telling me I was mistaken about what food poisoning is "actually" like. All I can tell you is the experience was immediate after eating his sandwich. Not to mention the fact that everything I saw my body rejecting was 100% Jimmy John sub. (Sorry. TMI) So I'm not speaking to the many other subs they serve at Michael Cooper's Jimmy John's, but the one I ate absolutely wrecked me. Well, wow - wish I had read the Yelp reviews before ordering. Usually we've had OK experiences with this particular Jimmy John's. Certainly not great, but except for once or twice...at the very least, mediocre. Today - truly not a good day for the Ken Caryl Jimmy John's... I ordered online, and was told I had a freebie. Yea! I ordered an oatmeal cookie. It didn't come. I ordered a coke - the driver spilled it as he was bringing it to the door. He said he would make sure my account was credited. (Not sure if that will happen or not). I ordered my sandwich to be cut in half. It was not. And to top it all off....the sandwiches were less filled than the slim sandwiches, and we didn't order the slim sandwiches. So - I called to talk with them, (mostly to make sure I didn't get charged for the coke, and to get my freebie back), and I have been on hold now for 35 minutes. If I could give it no stars I would. Never have I experienced rude service before at a fast food restaurant like today. I had my puppy in the car with me (high maintenance German Shepherd) thought it would be a good idea to order on the phone, run in and pick up the sandwiches. The guy on the phone was mildly interested in taking my order, basically rude with a bad attitude. The so called manager was even worse. Accused me of mad dogging the guy making my sandwich. It says open until 9 PM and when I showed up at 8:05, the doors were locked and the employees inside just stared at me and walked to the back acting like they didn't see me. This Jimmy Johns is the furthest from "freaky fast" you could possibly experience. Usually at JJ's, your sandwiches are made before you finish paying and you are in and out and on your way in under five minutes. I came here a few days ago and ordered a total of seven sandwiches, several of them with special, but not difficult requests ("no onions," "no lettuce"). My friend wanted mustard added so the employee and I had a chat about the difference between Dijon mustard and "Jimmy mustard" before I chose the Jimmy. Two of the sandwiches were for kids so had nothing on them but meat and cheese ... so easy! So quick! Nevertheless, I then proceeded to wait, and wait and wait. There were, I think, two people ahead of me who had each ordered one sandwich. The woman ahead of me came back in with her opened-up sandwich because they had made it wrong. This should have been a sign! I waited for probably 15 minutes and then left a store that had become absolutely PACKED while they were making my seven sandwiches at a rate of one sandwich every two minutes. When I drove the 15 minutes back to where my hungry friends were waiting, we opened the sandwiches to find that not one single special request had been honored. Onions and lettuce were present, the aforementioned "Jimmy mustard" was not. Are all the employees here high on legal weed? Incapacitated in some other way? I felt so bad for the dozen + people I left behind me in the store, who I imagine are still waiting there today, growing old as they wait for sandwiches which may never be completed. I work down the way from this store, I had a 15 minute break , mind you 15 MINUTES. I mobile ordered my sandwich and my drink so I could quickly pick it up when my break started and eat it. I understand being low staffed but why did you say my order was ready when it wasn't. Used to really like Jimmy John's sandwiches! After frequenting this location at least a dozen times since locating close to my home, I've never had a great experience. Stopped in again this April (2021) for takeout. Ate a few minutes later & the bread was hard as a rock, breaking into dry crumbs w/every bite. The bread was tasteless - certainly not same-day fresh. Never did feel they had that fresh-bread taste I was so used to elsewhere. The staff sometimes cordial, though other times rather dismissive. It was my first time being at a Jimmy John's. Jimmy John's wasn't out in California before so I never got to try it. I think this one is fairly new. Clean, service is fast and food is ready quickly. I got the #9, Italian Night Club (Salami, Capicola, and Ham) with the hot peppers. It was one tasty sandwich. Tons of flavorful meats stacked on a delicious soft hoagie type roll. I really enjoyed the hot peppers, it gave the sandwich a needed kick. I think next time, I'll order it with extra hot peppers. Overall, an above average place to grab a delicious sandwich for an affordable price ($6.50 for the club type sandwiches). I just wish they had more seating though.... it gets busy in there during lunch.... lots of high school students. read more

The service at this location is horrible. There was an guy in the back who saw that there was a line and went back into the back without helping any one in line. The "freaky fast" motto does not apply to this location. They were clearly focused on other things when there was a good 10 people in line.
