I visited the store located at 1723 Dual Hwy, Hagerstown, MD 21740 yesterday (8.12.25 at approx. 11:45am) to retrieve an order for pickup. I was told by the cashier that I had to get the customer's drink myself. I explained that it was not my job to retrieve the customer's drink. At that point, she proceeded to get the drink, but a white male employee inserted himself into the interaction and stated, "They are responsible for getting the drink." I responded, "No, I am not. It's your customer and your restaurant." I then stated that I would cancel the order if they refused to fulfill it. He replied, "That's fine, cancel the order." At that point, I canceled the order because it is not my job to argue with the restaurant about fulfilling an order that was placed directly with them. It is the responsibility of the restaurant staff to complete the entire order for the customer. Recently, I was driving thru Hagerstown and really wanted a ham wrap for lunch. There are many fine fast food alternatives (Subway, Hartley, Jimmy Mikes - to name a few). Buy I had tried most places in town and decided to give Jimmy John's a try. I'll try to keep my experience brief: 1. No wraps on sale here except lettuce wraps, which may be hard to maneuver while driving. I.e., there is no bread wrap option. 2. Reluctantly, I ordered a Billy Club sub, which was to be served with LTM. 3. I mistakenly received a Veggie sub. When I told the counter attendant about the mistake, he looked puzzled. I asked him to replace the Veggie sub with a Billy Club. 4. The Billy Club sandwich (meat and cheese) was very dry, something I didn't notice until I was back on the road. Turns out, the LTM was missing from the sub, and it was like eating meat and cheese on cardboard. 5. Surprisingly, the counter attendant gave me the Billy Club sub but no napkin or bag. Not that this was the end of the world, but it just displayed inferior customer service. Epilog: I wonder what happened to the Veggie sub? Would it be good customer service to give it to the customer? Well, if they had, I would have eaten that one, which would at least be moist - probably. I keep going back thinking it's going to get better. The service, quality of food and now the added bonus of glove obsessed people, that don't properly use them. I'm okay with you making my sandwich with fresh gloves. You first and foremost should NOT be touching any non food items while wearing said gloves. If so, take off and try again. This woman flat out lied to me. She was rude. Looks like she put her thumb into my sandwich. She removed a lot of the squishy bread. Was light on lettuce and mayo when I ask for extra. (Keep in mind its only cheese, avocado, mayo and lettuce) Lettuce had brown edges, guac was all over the place. Disgusting!! I threw it away. They then pointed out that they over charged me by 75 cents...I wouldn't have noticed it. She started to correct the charges, but I offered to take a bag of chips and pay the difference. The service was great. That's the only reason I'm not giving it a 1 Star review. We were charged for cheese, but they didn't put any on the sandwich. The avocado was barely noticeable in the lettuce. Worst Jimmy John's experience ever! We stopped through on our way home from vacation. After ordering our sandwiches and getting our drinks, my family and I wanted to sit down to eat, but ALL of the tables were dirty! All three of the employees were standing behind the counter chatting and I had to interrupt their conversation to ask them to clean off a table for us. Just calle for large order for office lunches I spoke to the owner he will not accommodate large order. And doesn't have 7 grain bread for large order only the crappie white bread . Went here with my wife for lunch, because even though they promote their "freaky fast delivery", they would not deliver to our hotel room which was just 1.5 miles down the road from their location. So we come in and order. Its 2 pm so the place is not busy, yet somehow there is miscommunication as both of our orders get messed up. I wanted a Turkey Tom with no lettuce or tomatoes and mine had both. My wife wanted a Tom Turkey with sprouts instead of lettuce. She got that, but they left off her tomatoes. After I complained, they fixed it by taking the tomatoes off mine and putting them on hers and just scraping the lettuce off mine (instead of just correctly remaking them). After that, they tasted good, but there was hardly any meat on our sandwiches (about half of what Subway puts on). Also our supposed 8" sandwiches were only 6". Rather disappointing for what we paid for them. We won't be back. read more

The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the bathrooms were clean! The staff was knowledgeable about food allergies and made sure I wasn't contaminated by the bread. You'd be surprised how rare that is...especially in a fast food style restaurant. Don't live here but it's on a route I take several times a year and I will be back. read more

i've had food from here twice and both times i got the same thing (the #6). the first time, i went to take advantage of their $1 subs for customer appreciation day. i figured it was a good opportunity to see how their food was. i thought it was good enough to send my boyfriend a second time. he picked me up a #6, a #1 for my mom and a #4 for himself. again, mine was really good, my boyfriend liked his and my mom didn't even eat hers until the following day but she commented on how good hers was. they are simple but taste fresh. i definitely wouldn't consider them gourmet by any means but i prefer them to subway. their menu is inexpensive too - always a plus. read more

A few months ago we decided to try this place despite the fact that we normally support local family owned businesses. We were very disappointed in the amount of meat on a sandwich. If you have a sandwich called the "Big John" it better have more than 3 pieces of meat on it. I am not exaggerating. It literally had only 3 pieces on it. The bread was very tasty though but very lacking on ingredients. I understand corporate like places have portions pre-measured (like Subway) but I have never had such a skimpy sandwich even at a Subway. We will not be going back and will keep our business with the family run local shops. read more
