I was just in there probably half hour ago and when I pulled in it was 98° outside. When I walked in their air was not working and I believe it was the manager that said it was broken for at least two weeks. That's a concern when you're serving food at those high temperatures it was probably 90° in there. I literally sweat when I was ordering and waiting for my sandwich that is absolutely ridiculous. Grand Blanc (Saginaw Rd Location) On 8/9, I visited the Grand Blanc location on Saginaw Rd around 1:08 PM to order two sandwiches -- a Giant #5 and a #7. The #7 was overcooked in the toaster and then sat there unattended. While making my #5, which normally comes with no mayonnaise, I also asked for the sauce to be on the side. The woman working there (I believe she was the manager) told me "the sauce barely touched the bread" and resisted remaking it, even though I made it clear I didn't want sauce at all. She had a young man remake the sandwich, but then mayonnaise was added -- again, not part of the sandwich I ordered. I had to request yet another remake. During this time, the woman made several unprofessional comments like, "Help her, hurry up to get her out of the store," while slamming items around and clearly acting irritated. Meanwhile, my second sandwich was over toasted and sat unattended. At that point, I asked for a refund, but she said they "don't offer refunds" and instead gave me a card for a free sub. I had to go to the Hill Rd location since she did not want to remake the sandwich. This was an additional trip out of my way, but it was well worth it -- the Hill Rd store was a breath of fresh air. They need to change their hours. Close at 10 should not mean lock the doors at 9:20. Just say you close at 9.

They need to teach the employees how to count change. I gave them 20.29 for a $7.29 order and they kept insisting my change was$12.71. When I was explaining why I should have gotten $13.00 back they didn't understand, and said "just give her the $13.00 back because I'm not going to argue " After I picked up my sandwich, I showed the same girl my receipt that showed the cashier put in that I gave her $20.00 and that is why they were telling me my change was $12.71. The girl said she does understand and I didn't need to be rude for the cashier was new. I don't think she understood. read more

I really don't understand the negative reviews regarding this store. I am new to the Grand Blanc area and decided to give this Jimmy Johns a shot. When I walked into the store I was quickly greeted by two young male employees welcoming me to the restaurant. My order was taken almost immediately and once I finished paying I was told they would, "have it out in a jimmy." My food was prepared freaky fast, (as it should be), and upon leaving the restaurant those same two male employees told me to, "have a jimmy day," as well as, "have a jimtacular night." The level of customer service at this store far surpassed my expectations and the Jimmy Johns related puns managed to make me laugh, as well as, put a smile on my face. I will absolutely be back again and hope that the friendly atmosphere spreads to other Jimmy Johns establishments. read more

Not surprised this JJ has such a low rating. I understand when restaurants get behind as I have worked in the food industry but when your claim to fame is "Freaky Fast" and there is no call to say they are running behind, that's BS. Sorry, not a fan. Delivery was slow to our office every single time and I don't really care for the sandwiches all that much. Not much flavor, kind of tasteless, dry bread. The tuna sub was pitiful. It didn't taste fresh, the veggies looked mangled and the bread tasted more like cardboard. I had a feeling it had been sitting around for awhile by the time it was delivered. People behind the counter are pleasant enough, I guess. The idea behind delivery service to local businesses would be a great concept (and is, in theory) if they could manage to pull it off well. read more

I'm a essential worker and I have tried to eat here twice. The first time took 35 minutes for curb side. I had to call in and ask what was going on with my sandwich. It took another 15 minutes after that. The second time I tried, I called in and was asked to be put on hold for someone to take my order and I was on hold for 10 minutes. I live 5 minutes from this location and had ordered delivery. 45 minutes later I still hadnt gotten my food and the guy called asking where I lived...I had already left for work. I've read all the negative reviews but I was craving JJs and ordered some anyway. I placed my order at 2:47 and promptly received my meal at 3:14. I stay 3.5 miles away so that's a great time to me seeing how slow other deliveries are. And the sandwich was oh so good!! Will be ordering again soon!! read more

I wanted to order online so as not to give my credit card number over the phone, but your third party says you don't deliver here even though I know you do. My address is different from our actual location as we are in one city with a mailing address in the next due to we are on the border of the post office's zoning. Most disappointing. read more

This was my 3rd time ever at a Jimmy Johns. Usually I go to Subway. My first trip, last year, included poor service, nothing in particular but not a place I wanted to give money to. I went back last wk for a second try and it was fine, good service, good sub. I should have left it like that because the service on Friday wasn't good - at all. I went to the cash register and started to order but the young man couldn't seem to understand what I wanted. I didn't know they had bread other than subs. Thru a series of facial expressions to let me know this was tedious for him and I should automatically know everything they sell, he behaved very arrogantly. I should have just left without ordering but I finally managed to order. I paid, walked to the other end of the counter and there sat a wrapped sub. There was no one else there so I thought it must be mine and I took it. There were 5 people behind the counter, not one bothered a thank you, have a nice day, no acknowledgement at all, just ignored me. Sorry I was such a bother. Terrible experience! Ordered a party platter for our staff at work. 1.5 hours later no platter. 3 phone calls later found out platter was delivered to another area, someone was allowed to sign my credit slip that wasn't me. No offer made to make this right. Jimmy Johns called me back per my request to let me know total of slip that was forged...had audacity to tell me there was no tip and asked of I would like to leave one when I said no the phone was hung up. We don't agree with the negative reviews at all. Our office has ordered from JJ's for years - we all think the French bread is the best. Our favorite is the tuna and the thinny chips are better than most other (high calorie) chips. The pickles are perfect dills. As for delivery times, we are 2-3 miles from the store and sometimes my head spins - they get here so fast. Once in awhile right at peak lunchtime, we wait longer but no more than 15 minutes. The staff is always pleasant and sometimes downright funny. read more

I love Jimmy John's. This is biased, but the negative reviews are examples of one-offs that should be disregarded. Even though fast delivery happens 80% of the time, people need to understand that during rush hour, ordering a huge order and expecting it in 15 minutes isn't likely. There are 3-4 drivers, which is barely adequate, so try not to get too impatient when ordering during key traffic times. Also, when people complain about their orders not getting made right, for example the person a couple down who never got their subs cut that much, very likely didn't specify to get them cut. People forget more often than you think to tell the employees to cut the sandwiches. Also, for the people saying that the bread is dry or hard or cardboard-tasting, please see that that is the case for a very small fraction of the otherwise perfect bread they have. read more
