What should have been a simple issue to resolve turned into an incredibly frustrating and completely unnecessary confrontation. I placed my order online and arrived at the restaurant approximately 20 minutes later to pick it up. My sandwich was nowhere to be found in the pickup area, so I waited in line to speak with the employee at the register. They couldn't find my order. I showed them my receipt, which clearly showed that I had paid by credit card, that I had selected the correct location, and that my order had been placed at 12:08 p.m. It was now 12:25 p.m. I then asked to speak with the store manager, Erica Melton. She also couldn't find the order. I showed her the receipt and my order information, yet she still made no effort to resolve the situation. I suggested the obvious solution: since I had proof of payment and could show exactly what I ordered, why not simply make the sandwich? Instead of helping, Erica became argumentative and told me I would have to wait until they finished their lunch service before she would address my situation. In other words, I was expected to stand around for who knows how long over an order I had already paid for, simply because the restaurant had apparently lost track of it. When she eventually asked me to come to the counter to speak with her, she remained standoffish, confrontational, and completely unwilling to help. I repeatedly asked why a manager would refuse to resolve such a straightforward problem when I had a receipt proving my purchase. Rather than take responsibility or offer a reasonable solution, she threatened to call the police. I never raised my voice or behaved in a threatening manner. She then told me to leave. When I asked for a refund for the food I had paid for but never received, she refused. She even followed me outside. Let that sink in: I paid for a sandwich, the restaurant couldn't produce my order, management refused to make it or provide a refund, and the manager threatened to call the police on a customer who was simply trying to resolve a legitimate issue. Mistakes happen. Online orders get misplaced. I understand that. What separates a good restaurant from a bad one is how management handles those mistakes. A competent manager would have apologized, verified the receipt, and either had the sandwich made immediately or arranged a refund. This should have taken a few minutes. Instead, Erica Melton turned a minor problem into an unnecessarily hostile experience and left me without the food I had paid for. I hope Firehouse Subs corporate management takes a serious look at how this location is being managed. Customers deserve basic courtesy, accountability, and a reasonable effort to resolve problems. Based on my experience, this location fell short on every count. I would not recommend this Firehouse Subs location based on my experience, and I certainly would not expect customers to tolerate this kind of treatment.

The two Firehouse locations that I've got near me at home are both drive thru free and with how long they normally take to render an order I couldn't imagine placing an order that way. Unlike the locations that I normally go to at home this location does a "special" medium sized sub of the day for $5.55. This worked out well as the Saturday special is the #1 Hook and Ladder and half of our group wanted that one. The order itself, which also included two #10 brisket sandwiches, was ready in about eight or nine minutes which wasn't bad as they had a steady stream of people coming thru the door. Flavor wise everything was as expected and the only half negative was that the cooler with bottled drinks was essentially empty with only chocolate milk in there. Sure this chain is priced more than Subway but the trade off to that are the subs which actually have that crazy thing called flavor. Is it worth the couple extra dollars to come here versus Subway? No question.
