I've ordered Unwiches from many Jimmy John's locations, but the Deerfield Beach store has been the worst experience every time. First visit: the Unwich was tiny, but I let it slide. Second visit: they told me they had no lettuce after I arrived to pick up my online order, and the staff didn't even know how to refund me. I ended up taking a wrap I didn't want. Third (and final) visit: I arrived right behind three customers. The employee took their orders and then told me to "give him a few minutes," even though my order had been placed 10 minutes earlier. He started preparing their sandwiches first. When I asked why he wasn't making mine, he said prepping the lettuce takes time. I understand that, but my order was placed BEFORE the walk-ins, and it was to-go. Only after I questioned it did he finally make mine. And the final product was a joke. He didn't even wrap the ingredients inside the lettuce. He threw huge, full lettuce leaves--thick stem and all--into the paper and placed the ingredients on top, so the paper became the actual wrap. It was messy, impossible to eat, and I ended up throwing away half of it because it was basically the entire lettuce head. Don't bother with this location. It's a shame it carries the Jimmy John's name. read more

My husband and I have been ordering delivery from here for the 4 years that we have been in this house. However, on Saturday, that ended. We placed a delivery order over the phone, the employee took our address and payment method , and said "see you soon". 20 minutes later, the store calls and says "we no longer deliver to your address ". Wtf? You could have delivered one last time and told us that, or told us from the moment you confirmed our address. But no, you were rude and obviously don't care. There was a time - circa 2006ish - and place - Yamato in Boca - JJ's was alright. Fast, friendly, cheap, and decent. This outpost is none of that. Masks well below the nose. "Managers" don't honor their word, serve old, stale food, operate hours on their own not posted times, keep customers on hold forever when they call, and quite the attitude. The restaurant is always clean. The staff are hit and miss. Some are nice while others are not so nice and you can tell they don't want to be there. Food is always fresh and very good. It's your average Jimmy John's with good subs. read more

I ordered delivery for the first time using Yelp and they got my order wrong, I ordered the thick cut grain bread (cause it's the best thing ever) and they made my sandwich on French bread. I called the store immediately & they came back within minutes with my correct order free of charge. The delivery girl wouldn't even take my second tip, but I insisted! Before becoming a lacto-vegetarian, I always ordered the giant #11 at least 3 times a week. Now, I only eat tuna but can't order from Jimmy John's because they put onions in their tuna! I'm allergic to onions! Why can't JJ's be a normal sub place and make the tuna plain? Onions could always be added if customer wants onions! Probably my favorite sub shop! This place was spotless including the restrooms. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh including the cucumbers and and tomatoes on my tuna sub. I sat outside under one of the umbrella tables and just enjoyed the fresh air and my late lunch.
