Ordered delivery from here for a quick lunch option and was not disappointed! They live up to the freak fast slogan. The website said they were experiencing delays, but my food still arrived in about 20 minutes which was great! I ordered a Vito, which is an Italian sub. The combo also includes a beverage and side of chips. The sandwich was fresh, and the thinny chips have just the right amount of crunch. Only thing that was missing was the kickin' ranch, I wish they would bring it back! The jalapeno ranch made a decent substitute, but the original was the best. read more

I found a brown SLIMY BLOB of something in my cup I had ben drinking out of.DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! -Unsanitary ice machine. 0 stars!!!!

I ordered delivery. Apparently they are using uber eats not, which i hate anyways because i've had issues with their service in the past. But of course, after 30minutes of waiting for my order which usually doesn't take that long, i reached out the the original driver (cyclist) and as soon as i did it said locating a new driver. Even though he was already at the location. Then the second driver arrives at the shop and again says finding a new driver. Finally the 3rd one said someone had already picked up the order so it was most likely stolen! NONE of the phone numbers work, store location, uber eats helpline, jimmy johns helpline! I finally got a new driver an HOUR and 15minutes later! And he said they were just now remaking it. They have my contact information, the least they could have done was reach out. For it being a large company their customer service sucks!! Never ordering from here again. read more

Food is consistent and the service is fast and friendly. Bathrooms are always clean and it's not too busy so you can enjoy your sandwich in a peaceful environment read more

I stopped in intending to order my usual, the Beach Club, and the General Manager encouraged me to try the Caprese Pesto Wrap that has sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, mozzarella cheese, and salami. It was incredibly refreshing and gave me energy throughout my day. I felt more alive after eating at Jimmy John's and able to concentrate better on personal, creative writing. I highly recommend Jimmy John's, in general, and this store in particular. The Manager Patience was so welcoming that I felt right at home. Plus, the store was incredibly clean and well maintained. I will be coming back soon. read more

The best Jimmy John's! Best sandwiches, best team - The ladies who work are are absolute gems! Will go out of my way to come back to this location. read more

A decent Jimmy Johns in a not-so-great area. While I was here, I saw gang members flashing gang signs INSIDE at others outside. Not the best of places to be when you worry a drive by is about to happen. But...the food is good, though I think prices here are a dollar more than other locations. I'll stay away from here since I value my life. read more

Great service, fast and delicious. It works because it has keto options and the delivery service when I'm lazy and don't have time to stop working. read more

Jimmy John's - Unwich Italian Night Club with No Tomatoes - Sandwiches Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Ordered the Beach Club sandwich: turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado, cucmbers, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Plus bacon. About $10. Free smells! Food was fresh and moist inside. Quick service, esp when I have 30 mins for lunch! Parking is a challenge, there's meter parking. Wilson red line CTA less than a block away, across the street of Truman College. Staff was helpful and place was clean. read more

Customer service was nice. The guy that made my Italian sub deserves a raise. It tasted so good, and not messy. Place is clean & the GM explained the perks of online purchasing. Will be back. Thank you read more

My bf and I have always loved jjs and we've found that this location is the best one in the north side area. The consistent presence of the same friendly and efficient staff members makes it our go-to spot for quick and reliable service. read more

Ordered online - requested no mayo, add mustard, add cucumber. Order was wrong - slathered in mayo, no mustard, no cucumber. Called store and was told it was corporate's fault that custom orders on the website don't come through to the store so wouldn't give a refund. Asked for a corrected sandwich, manager laughed at me and told me they were backed up with delivery orders. Took the uneaten sandwich to the store on my way home from work to request refund or gift certificate for free sandwich. After refusing at first, assistant manager said he could make me a new sandwich. Declined sandwich, requested refund or gift certificate. Assistant manager called manager, still refused refund or gift certificate. Left negative feedback on Jimmy Jones FB page, got phone call, but haven't seen refund. Absolute worst customer service ever. Stay away from this location. read more

Ordered a number 12 and didn't get avocado (which is why anyone orders the #12). Freaky fast and inaccurate read more

I'm not sure when JJ stopped having fast delivery, but I have been waiting for almost 40 minutes AND COUNTING! Worst customer experience ever, and the excuse of not having two drivers is not acceptable, when you market yourself as "FRAKY FAST". Oh, and I'm still waiting. This is crazy. read more

Welp, this is my first and last time at this Jimmy Johns. And that is literally only for the employees. Even my decent sandwich couldn't swing any stars in their favor. I walked in around 1 pm on a Sunday. One employee is sitting at the front booth, presumably on lunch break, going to town on some messy nachos. Her table was covered with food and frankly it was gross. The employee working I swear to god had a murderous expression on her face. I don't go to JJs that often because I think their sandwiches are way overpriced and boring, so I wasn't really sure where to start. The counter was piled with boxes so I could barely see the employee and I asked "uh, where do I start"? She just rolled her eyes and nodded to the register. At this point lunch break employee came up, wiped her nacho hands on her apron and rang me up. She wasn't as unpleasant as the sandwich maker, but still didn't say a word to me outside of the price. I sat down to wait for my sandwich and all the while the two employees are yelling at each other from the front and back, cackling, every other word was a profanity, complaining about other employees and how they are all "dumbass b*****s" and all sorts of crap like that. I was so relieved to get out of there. I don't expect customer service to always be perfect, but this was just repulsive and gross. What a nasty environment, I will never step foot in there again. Oh, and the sandwiches are still overpriced and boring. read more

The absolute worst! The complete antithesis of fast. And that's on the one or two days a week they are open.

Freaky fast? That's a joke with this location. I called the store and asked if my order had left yet. He said yes. 15 minutes later my order is still not here. I do not live 15 minutes away. Last time I order from this location. read more

I came in today and was greeted with a hand wave as she didn't want to interrupt the gossip she was spreading to her coworker. She said "you ready?" Which I assume meant "what can I do for you?" Me: I'll have a #5 with turkey instead of ham Her: there's no ham on #5 just salami and capicola Me: what's capicola then? Her: uh like a spicy ham Me: so can I have a #5 with turkey instead of the spicy ham? Her: *savage eye roll* that's gonna be extra Honestly I don't care that it's gonna be extra, I get how corporations work but damn could you be less rude for the 3 minutes at a time you have customers? My sandwich was fine but the snark was overkill read more

If you've been to one, you've been to them all. However, the employees at this particular location are very, very, very nice. Regardless of how busy the place is, they, even the sandwich makers who aren't obligated to interact with customers, always take the time to give me a genuine friendly greeting. I don't know what their manager did but he/she did a helluva great job in hiring the right people! The vegetables in their vegetarian sandwiches are always unbelievably fresh. Yum. I think I might have some JJ today. read more

I hated my apartment in Uptown, but I do miss being within walking distance of a Jimmy John's - especially this one. The guys and gals working there were always super friendly and funny with my friend and me. She would give them shit (along the lines of "Don't mess up my order, asshole" - in a funny, flirty way) and they would give it right back or at least understand that she was kidding. I love their chips and they perfected my sandwich (veggie no mayo no sprouts). It definitely doesnt feel super-safe at night (hence, why I no longer live in the neighborhood) but they close at 9 pm, which is usually not too bad still. If I had stayed there another month or two, I'm sure we would be hanging out with our Jimmy John's guys socially. They're a riot. read more

This Jimmy John's is fast and most of the staff is friendly. The ingredients are fresh and my signature sub (Veggie sub, no mayo) is always perfect. One small catch - don't attempt to go here at night...the outside crowd can be a bit scary. read more

I owe this store a huge thank you! I had a work event at 11 o'clock on a Tuesday that I had completely forgotten about until literally 15 minutes before it started. I was also in charge of ordering lunch for about 20 people at the event. I called this store on the way to the meeting (around 10:50), and they took care of everything. Food was delivered just 5 minutes after 11, as if I had it planned all along. Highly recommend, esp in a time crunch. Thank you! read more

The service was "fast" but this store is inconsistent because on several occasions they've delivered to my home, but won't the next week. Inconsistent, terrible customer service and "hints of profiling" from their cashiers at this location. I understand why this location and many of the Jimmy John's franchises have low ratings. read more

Freaky fast is a false advertisement of this location!!! Ordered online at 1:06 pm received my food at 2:30 pm!!! WTH!! Called twice for updates could not get a proper answer where my food was. Apparently, the delivery was out for approximately 45 mins!!!! It's right down the street!!! I called and ask where my food was the sales person offered me a $5 credit, I asked if that would make my food arrive faster, she had no response. This is for a sandwich, not a deep dish pizza, which I should've ordered!! Communication is key, if you are busy/slammed CALL THE CUSTOMERS AND INFORM THEM!! read more

They seem to be delivering again yay! Updating review for now see how often delivery is happening again

99% of Jimmy Johns are great, but this one stands-out. Clean location, courteous staff. Fastest delivery this side of Krypton - I'm talkin' 10 minutes! There's even a loading zone parking spot to run in and get your #12 Beach Club (hold the lettuce) on french bread ! Top that! read more

Never thought that I would do this to this store because all of the delivery team has been excellent. I hardly ever eat from here any longer but that has nothing to do with this occurrence I will ask one thing about this experience....$1.50 per sandwich delivery charge? Really? read more

Everyone knows of JJs by now. They're nothing new. But what may be new to you is that they now offer the "JJ Unwich" which is the same old yummy JJ but without the bread. Instead, it's wrapped up in a bed of lettuce. I wish the sandwich wasn't the same price, however, it's a great fast food option for those who are Gluten intolerant...or a Truman College student. Attention pedestrians: Be careful when crossing Wilson at Racine! Those crazy JJ delivery men in their beat up cars will take you down to provide their "wicked fast" delivery times to get a $1 more of a tip! As I'm sure you have imagined, this is offered at all the JJ locations, not just the Wilson one. read more

This is actually the FIRST Jimmy John's location I had ever eaten at, when I visited Chicago back in 2007. Three years later, I find myself in Lakeview, ordering lunch from this same JJ's. I'm really surprised at how fast they've been able to deliver my sandwiches, especially during lunch hour. So I give them 4 stars! and a big shout out to the Billy Club, jalapeno chips! and a hooty hooooo to salt & vinegar chips! read more

JJs sandwiches. tasty no doubt for a plain meal. HOWEVER, this review is in regards to their impeccable service. Fast. so damn fast. My sandwich was done before I could even put my wallet back into my pocket. read more

Horrible experience....bought a blt bacon was more fat than meat. Then I found white fibers attached to bacon pieces halfway through. Was told to bring sandwich in. Was expecting money back. Was offered another crappy sandwich. Supervisor apparently told associates not to give me my money. Customer service says owner has to agree because they're franchised. Would not go to this location again for anything. Apparently they can't stand to lose $8. Yet charging $8 for lettuce bread mayo and tomato and pieces of undercooked fat smh. read more

Oh how I love me some Jimmy Jonhs. Yeah it's in "the hood" but the guys who work here are pretty awesome, fast like they should be and friendly. They have "free smells" but manage to keep them crazy folk out and it's nice to know they are just up the street. p.s. I miss you, sprouts. read more

Jimmy johns on Wilson rocks!!! They delivered to me on a Wednesday at Montrose beach's The Dock when a group of friends and I were chillin on the beach listening to live reggae!!!! AMAZE-balls!!!!! I always like going into Jimmy John's but then I am always disappointed. Call me old school but I remember the days when they used to put on MORE meat than Subway. Now it's like a slice and then they ask if you want to pay extra for double. Extra for TWO slices? I think I'll pass, thank you. However, the staff is always super friendly, the restaurant kept clean and it is still tasty. read more

Never, ever, ever order from them. Always a conflict with delivery and distance. Not woth the drive with such limited parking.

I've ordered from here many times. I'm starting to see a trend. My order gets mixed up, and I end up with the wrong sandwich. One of the delivery boys tries to hustle about how he rode his bicycle to my residence, when it's time to get my change back, and it is time to tip. I understand that being a delivery person is not an easy job. That .4 miles on a bike that it took you to get here is not a 80% tip. I don't know if he thinks I'm that chic with 10 cats or something, but that's not cool. I don't have a cat fuckers. Also, though the sandwiches are yummy; I would like the one I ordered. I have had JJ in other cities, and there usually is not an issue. I hate that I have to stop ordering from here and make my own damn sandwich that will cost half of what I pay. So, because the JJ brand has yummy sandwiches, it gets 3 stars. However, the JJ on Wilson in Uptown gets two fucking thumbs down. read more

Since their inception at Eastern Illinois Univ (good ole ChuckTown), I have been in love with them. When they finally migrated North, I was in heaven. From the french bread, to the jalapeno Kettle potato chips, to the chocolate cookies, I will always be a fan. My sandwiches of choice are: #11, #15, and #13. If I do the veggie(#13), I get it on whole or 7-grain bread. read more
