Ordered online at 9 am for booked delivery at 11:15. By 11:40 no delivery, no call. I called location, offered no explanation only said our order would leave the store in 5 minutes. Order was roughly an hour late and it didn't seem like an issue to them as they offered nothing to resolve the issue. This is probably the worst Jimmy Johns that I have ever entered. The little strip mall that it's in is the worst. The sidewalk and the parking lot are covered in trash, gum and other dried liquids. I came in and ordered from an employee who seemed stoned. I think that my bread was possibly two day old bread because it was cracked and extremely hard. As I walked to get my drink I noticed that the side tables and chairs were still stacked up like they were about to close; mind you this was 2 in the afternoon. The only place to sit was three booths up front as the employees were congregating up at the front of the store not working, goofing off. As I left I saw that more than one employee were eating food from the line. I also overheard some employees talking about eye drops... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why an employee would want eye drops in Colorado. Terrible customer service from an employee group who just seemed like they were at work to hang out. It's called work for a reason! I also paid over $10 for one sandwich, small soda and chips! Really? If you are on Yelp right now reading this, the other reviews got it right! Do not eat here. I know what a great tasting sandwhich is and I would say JJ's is half way there. Half is what goes in the sandwhich and the other half is what encloses the sandwhich. I ordered the JJ Gargantuan and the size is awesome. The meat and cheeses have a great fresh taste. But the bread is terrible. It's not toasted yet it's hard and kinda stale. Meh. Yesterday (9/12/13) in the terrible flooding, I was able to order 60 box lunches from this location and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we were satisfied. We requested the order 2 hours in advance and they called to confirm the order was on its way and when it was a bit late (understandably in our area it was flooding to where many streets were closed down) but the driver still called to inform us he was on the way! When he arrived, was in great spirits and brought in all the bags and helped us set up. Normally we order at least once a week for single orders and everyone is always polite and quick. The food is always wonderful. Thank you Lewiston location for your continuing exceptional service and consistency. Our entire company is extremely grateful and equally impressed. Unlike other reviewers I really enjoy JJ in general. This particular one because it delivers to my work place :D. Prices are great, and they know me and usually what I order. They are very quick with deliveries, considering I'm in no mans land. They are always prompt and more often than not, early getting the food to me. Not really much else to say. Gotta love a place that has a lattuce wrap sandwhiches where all the filling stays in while you're eating. They make the sandwhiches lighting fast. I think they charge a little too much for extras like bacon, but all around a satisfying sandwhich. Not mindblowing or life changing, but good for a quick lunch on the go. I love that they deliver. No matter how crowded it is, the service is ALWAYS fast. They are always well stocked, and there seems to be plenty of employees there at any given time. They have all that right for sure. The sandwiches are good yes, but inconsistent. Much along the same lines as the staff which can be super pleasant or downright rude and off putting. Ive had different toppings put on the same sandwich quite a bit. Ordering the number 15 tuna has had (at different times) different toppings on it randomly about every time. First of all I am a fan of Jersey Mikes subs. I was on a layover in Denver and thought I would try Jimmy Johns out. I've seen them everywhere but never tried them. They have great customer service, you get your food fast, but the quality of the food is not the best. My so called fresh baked bread seemed a little day old, the ends of the bread were very hard. Why isn't the bread covered while sitting in the racks?? I arrived there around 11:30 a.m. so the bread should have been fresh baked. I had the Italian and the meat didn't seem fresh sliced to me. overall Service was great, smiles throughout, but the sandwich wasn't even better than subway. Wouldn't return again! read more

MARCUS LYLES the store manager is unprofessional, rude, argumentative, belligerent, and hostile when asked to make a incorrect order right. The sandwich that we had ordered was undrained tuna that made the bread soggy and it was inedible. The did not honor any of our requests for the sandwich. Paid $20 dollars for a sandwich and delivery charge and we could not even eat it. When we called, Marcus was uneducated on how to handle a customer complaint. Used to order and pick up subs here all the time about 1.5 years ago. I ordered and picked up the usual today and when I got home I was VERY disappointed! The roast beef on my daughter's slim was bloody enough to get the bread soggy! My vegetarian with added ham only had TWO slices of ham and the provolone was so old it stunk. The company I work for orders from Jimmy Johns frequently. We ordered three meals one evening that included sandwiches, chips, and pickles nothing special. The meals arrived without the pickles. We immediately called them back to explain that we hadn't received them and the guy that answered the phone asked us if we wanted them. We told him we did since they charged us for them so he said they would be bringing them back out. Three calls later and they still haven't been here even though every time we call the person that answers gives us the run around and says they should be here " any second". I called tonight to see if I could get delivery to my house 2.1 miles away. I'll repeat that incase you didn't catch it the first time... that's 2.1 miles away. After several minutes of explaining where I live, what I would like to order, actually placing my order, getting my total, repeating my address and getting a dumfounded pause the fellow on the other end of the phone responds with "ummmmm... I need a manager." After yelling my address across the restaurant without muting the phone he responds with "we don't deliver there." I ask him if they are the Jimmy Johns right across the street from Urban Sombrero and Uno's he says "no." I ask him if this is the store on 40th and he says "yes." So after giving him a quick geography lesson and asking him to look out the window at the restaurants across the street to indeed confirm what I asked him his response was "my manager said we only deliver one mile away." Excuse me!? One mile away?! Like 5,280 feet? That's it!?! So you mean to tell me I can call restaurants more than 15 miles away that will deliver but you can't figure out how to get a sandwich across a neighborhood? There is a Chinese food restaurant, Zumé Asian Cuisine, that is further west of you, yet STILL ON 40th that has food to my house before I can hang up the phone. You are a joke. You should change your slogan from "Freaky Fast Delivery" to "Terrible soft skills, zero people skills and absolutely no delivery." I have never had a problem with your restaurants before. I place GIGANTIC orders twice monthly for my business and that will cease come tomorrow. I am surprised that you are still in business and if I have anything to say about it... Insane! The delivery driver in the van literally almost ran me over and hit me!! Unacceptable !! I am crossing a street by the airport and there is a crosswalk and it is clearly my turn, I am very easily seen, semi tall and especially with my dog hanging out of my purse. The driver either ran the red light or did not look for pedestrians in the crosswalk. He slammed on the brakes and inch before hitting me! I yelled "are you fucking kidding me?" And he yelled "yeah" and drove off. Of course I took a picture . I've been called the store that he delivers to the gentleman who answered the phone was very nice listens to my story and offered to get me the manager. The manager then only told me all he will do is talk to the driver after the lunch rush. He did not even offer an apology. I go is that it you're not even going to apologize I said that two times before he apologized for the driver. Delivery driver it looks like trailer trash and he should not be delivering for a company. Your drivers represent your business his car is trashed he is trash so is his attitude and his appearance. All the hotels at the airport are like three 3 1/2 star or more they do not want some trashy rude guy delivering them sandwiches. Really think about it. His actions were horrendous!! Hardly write reviews unless totally worth my time. This place, bad first impression. I walk in to a nice smile at the register, glance over the menu. I kindly ask if I may sample the tuna. Nice Guy at the register asks the sweet young girl making sandwiches who then asks the tall guy, also making sandwiches if I can sample. The tall guy pauses, doesn't even look up and make eye contact to any of us and rudely shakes his head NO? ! I honestly should have walked out in shock of the lack of customer service, but was starving. I am giving them a zero star review because their customer service is horrible. The customer service was very abrasive, lack of accommodation to the customer, the employees: there seemed to be so many of them delivering the worst quality. When my friend went to ask to get mustard, they asked what kind he wanted and then he told him, well it's in packets don't expect it to put in for you. Just their demeanor, their lack of front service training was horrible. Their white bread tasted like paper. It was not French bread. My wife asked for hot peppers cause I forgot to order it when I out in the order. They would not let us order a side order or give us some extras because they're known as the 'fast shop' and who gives a care about the customer. Frankly, as an owner of multiple businesses, and from my friends at Fed Ex where speed and precision is important, I have never met a fed ex guy who didn't want to provide great customer service. I'm shocked they're sacrificing excellence to so something fast. To end, obviously they get no training whatsoever. i work at a company near this location and we order from them all the time. large orders, at least once a week if not more. i have never had a problem until today. their website has recently been revamped and wasn't working so i had to call the store. the first person i talked to got very confused very quickly and abandoned the phone. then a guy named Alex picked up. totally rude. told me i needed to "drop the tone or he would hang up on me". i'm sorry i had a "tone", your website failed me and then the person who answered failed me. this isn't rocket science and i'm sorry that i expect the person who answers to be able to take my order without getting confused immediately. this Alex really put the icing on the cake of a bad experience. i will do everything i can to no longer order from this store. read more
