Food was all good and it was hard to make a menu choice. Only odd thing was no diet coke - only coke zero. Only reason I mention is because the first thing I personally look for is coke or pepsi products to know if I will get the opportunity to order diet coke, as I cannot live without it lol. all in all i would revisit

All three were great, but the walleye with risotto was outstanding. Also love the location as it was fun to go try some wine next door while we waited for our food. On a "food quality" basis, the place is probably almost a 5, but a few other things lower my rating to a 4. The decor is pretty simple and unexciting, and the service was iffy for an evening with only a few tables. They probably just need a bit more help out there, as the servers were very sweet and trying hard. The service wasn't lacking due to effort. And a small "nit" is the lack of French fries as an option. While baked potatoes a healthier option, most in our crew like fries with their sandwich. Will definitely go back often.

What we received were two pizzas with all the correct toppings however, the crust was severely undercooked requiring us to heat them in our oven, one pizza that would be impossible. It was a taco pizza with lettuce and vegetables on top. Needless to say $38 down the toilet because 3/4 in order went down the garbage! Called in. I was extremely pleasant. Told the supervisor which was a female at the time my problem I asked for her to make a note so we could get the remade at a future time. She started arguing stating oh I remember this order I made it if you want me too I will remake it, but you must bring the pizzas that you don't like back.so here's helpful to end of this. A hidden gem in North Michigan!…read more I was visiting Alpena for a diving trip and was recommended this place. Specifically the Fire Burger and their Poutine. Our party was 6, they gave us "outdoor beers" and a pager. When a table opened up we sat down and I was immediately impressed. Our server was friendly and helpful, super sweet. She handled our accommodations (one of my friends had a lot of specific "requests" for his meal.) We got the poutine and mozzarella sticks for our appetizers... holy sh*t.... The poutine was INCREDIBLE. The mozzarella sticks were clearly house made. Just absolute perfection. I took the recommendations of my friend, and got the Fire Burger... insane. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Great beers. Great apps. Great burger. Just an all round great time. You owe it to yourself to try this spot.... This is obviously a neighborhood tavern where people know each other. I felt a little out of place, but still, I slid into a booth (ok, I moved the table and CLIMBED in; they seem to be repurposed pews and the edge is high) and the young woman who was tending the bar -- and who seemed to be the only server working -- came over promptly. I ordered the Westminster -- turkey, bacon, cheese, a cranberry pecan dressing on focaccia. And what the menu doesn't tell you is that the chips that come with it are plentiful, delicious and homemade! It was a good, big sandwich, and I took half of it with me. An odd note: one of the regulars, who had pretty obviously indulged in Happy Hour (actually, nearly everyone did, because as soon as it was 7:00, they all left!) came up to me, looked at my sandwich and said, "That looks good. I'll have to try it some time!" If you're looking for a pub with an English flair, this is the place to stop.
