I shopped here just over a month ago and then again yesterday. What I became aware of is that with…read moreso many home decor places in the area, these stores need to keep up with the competition. Not counting online shopping, there are so many home decor shops along US 36 that I can't keep track of them without checking my receipts to see which ones I liked enough to make purchases. On my first visit, I was looking for some seasonal items that would help turn our guest bathroom into something more fitting and welcoming to our guests. That visit was a very positive adventure and I found a number of things that appealed to me and therefore, I spent some dollars. Not a cheap place, so you do have to watch your totals as you shop. But I felt the quality was good, so I wasn't too hesitant to part with my dough! The only negative thing I experienced here is the "one way signs" they have on the floor to encourage social distancing. Unfortunately, who ever placed the "one way" arrows on the flooring wasn't paying attention as there are times you have to ignore the directions or else you get stuck in the back of the store or a corner. The aisles are a little narrow for meeting another customer, so I understand that they want to create a flow, but it felt like I was paying more attention to the floor signs than actually shopping. Nuts! The second visit (just a day ago) I wasn't able to find as much stuff that appealed to me. I was tired of all the holiday decorations I had up, so I was looking for items that would be more like Spring time. I didn't find any "wow" factor in the stuff I was looking at. So, a bit of disappointment. If I had written the review a couple months ago, I would have leaned towards a 5 star, but as the saying goes, you're only as good as the last visit. So, because of the distracting one way signs and the lack of items that had that instant appeal, I will knock a star off for this review. Service folks were helpful which helps with the good rating, but no sale this day. Review #3864

It reminds me of all the other stores that are just like them. I suppose it just depends on what you're looking for. At least there's options as far as where to look. ;o)

I thought it would be like a Barton's Discount or Falling Prices store. It's not. The only items in American Discount I saw were for like if you were remodeling your home. They had amazing prices! IF that's what you are looking for. That's what they have. For me, I was really disappointed that it was just tile, flooring, roofing, plumbing, toilets, cabinets, and hella more remodeling tools, items, and stuff I can't even begin to know what it's used for. Another thing is, the property is sketch. Like, be careful driving back there that you don't pop a tire, run over trash, or get attacked by something living in the trash pile. Also watch your step because the "stairs" lip is higher than the other part. If you're a construction or remodel person you should absolutely check this place out. I'm a girly girl who likes to shop and a good bargain. It just wasn't my vibe.

They had so many cool items in stock, namely many chairs of different sizes and styles. I was limited by what could be hauled in my car this time, but I found a very cute gray velvet swivel chair for my bedroom which was just the right size. It was a real bargain at 30% off! The kind clerks also helped me to find a console table I'd been eyeing on their page. I decided on just the chair during this visit (although it was a difficult)! This store has truly helped me decorate my little house on a budget.

Subject Customer Reference - J&J Treasure Trove…read moreDear J&J Treasure Trove, I would like to provide a brief reference regarding my recent purchase and delivery of a Cleopatra chest. The delivery service was excellent--professional, courteous, and handled with great care. Both gentlemen were polite and respectful, and they placed the chest exactly where I requested in my daylight basement. I am very pleased with the furniture itself. The chest is beautiful, in excellent condition, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Additionally, the price was very reasonable and an exceptional value. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with both the product and the service and would highly recommend J&J Treasure Trove. Sincerely, Barbara Askander

Reached out to the merchant and they basically told me "tough luck check our refund policy that says you agreed we can screw you!" Told me their policy won't allow you to file a claim with your credit card company! Sounds like an attempted insurance scam to me and they are trying to screw their customer.
