The team also removed our old turf and dug down about 7 inches to properly prepare the area for the new installation. They installed the necessary base, DG, gopher wire, and weed control, taking the time to do everything correctly. The new turf is excellent quality, and we are extremely happy with how beautiful and natural it looks. The new pavers were installed perfectly and look absolutely gorgeous! We described the landscape style that we wanted, and Glenn turned our concept into a detailed design, including choices for plants, boulders, and stones. With installation just completed, Glenn's design has turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't be happier.

Extra protection ground cover to eliminate weeds. Some yards get no weeds because a super heavy cover has been used. I've spent countless hours pulling weeds since yards were done. 2. Go over what plants are going to be used. If I'd done that, I would've saved money and work to remove those that had needles that made it difficult/dangerous to remove. 3. If the designer had visited front yard, he would have seen the slight slope and the DG pathway would not have been a logical design choice. Rain washes it away and I'll have to eventually figure out a way to close up that space. 4. At that time, I didn't meet with the designer. I should have. Although it's a lovely design, I would have pointed out a change or two I'd have preferred. 5. Gray DG is not readily available and it has been difficult to keep the pathway refreshed. Someone said that he was going to provide it, but never did. Overall, I am glad I hired Smart Landscape. UPDATE: I needed to come back to add another star after carefully considering how wonderful Danny and his team are to work with. I had met with no fewer than nine landscape companies before Smart Landscape and they were nightmares for various reasons. Danny is wonderful to work with and makes sure the customer is happy.

They arrived on time, kept on schedule, and cleaned up the site at the end of every work day. I have never seen such an organized, well managed job site. They were truly exemplary in all respects, but especially in regards to the quality of their work. In fact, his proposal included everything needed to properly prepare and establish a healthy lawn, while other estimates we received were significantly more expensive and included less. Michael recommended St. Augustine grass because we have a large dog, and within a week, his team was ready to start the project. He explained the entire process ahead of time and gave me detailed guidance about the watering schedule, mowing schedule, and recommended equipment for maintaining the new lawn. The crew was amazing--efficient, professional, polite, and extremely hardworking. Carlos, the crew lead, was especially impressive. He is calm, knowledgeable, and very detail-oriented. He listened carefully to every concern I had and made sure everything was addressed properly. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and they even installed a fence that we provided to protect the new lawn from foot traffic and our dog while it gets established. The finished lawn looks absolutely beautiful. The new sprinkler system is quiet, efficient, and works perfectly. They used new, quality materials and clearly did not cut corners anywhere in the project. After comparing several companies and estimates, I am very happy that we chose Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance. We received a better, more complete project at a very competitive price. Aaron was our sales contact, and he answered all my questions before I signed which made us feel good about using them and had some good suggestions. Their model of doing whatever we need and mixing with what other contractors we use is great; we for example purchased a quartzite slab for the kitchen and Rock N Block did the rest. The prices were very reasonable as well, and looking at the end product I think it was a great deal. The rest of the team, Alexis and Jose, did a great job keeping us updated and keeping our property clean. I'm not sure who the guys were that did the counter build, I think it was someone and his two adult kids, but they did an incredible job and it seemed like they took the time to do quality work. The rest of the project ran into some difficulty with the electrical hookup and gas move, but Jose still got the work done on time and worked well with our countertop fabricator to coordinate what they needed and when to install Overall went really well and would recommend them for any sort of hardscape project.

I had a wonderful experience with Jimenez Landscaping. Edgar and his crew were extremely professional and polite. Our backyard was an absolute disaster and now it is our oasis. Edgar's crew was able to quickly problem solve any issues that arose and really brought my vision to fruition. We had them complete a full backyard remodel; build a fence, grade our yard, install irrigation, pave a porch area, install a gas line and lay sod. The fire pit installed by this company exploded into my girlfriend's face. We had an independent professional company come out to inspect the unit and the gas line. Their findings were shocking: the gas connection was completely loose. This negligence allowed gas to build up inside the fire pit structure, which caused it to explode upon ignition. Because of the physical injuries sustained and the absolute gross negligence regarding a gas installation, we are now taking this company to litigation. If you value the safety of your home and your family, stay far away from this business. A "loose connection" on a gas line is not just a mistake--it is a deadly hazard. We are currently in the process of legal action to hold them accountable for the damage and trauma they have caused. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

Update since my March 2025 review: Since I was very satisfied with my backyard project which still…read morelooks great months later, I used Precision Landscape when I replaced my old lawn on my side yards and my front yard. I replaced the side yard grass and the the front yard grass area by the sidewalk with rock next. It came out great and have had no issues with weeds coming through like I've seen at some other houses in my neighborhood. I then replaced an area in my front yard closer to the house with the same artificial turf as the back yard and added a small paver patio, perfect for a bistro set. The rest of the old front yard lawn was replaced with rock and stones with two islands. A low wall close to the sidewalk that had been topped with wood was topped with concrete caps which really made the wall look much nicer. To finish off my front yard project, I replaced my old original 1963 cracked concrete driveway with a paver driveway that matches my bistro patio. It's hard to believe what a beautiful transformation I now have from the back yard to the front yard and street! I've had a lot of great comments from my neighbors and others who walk by regularly. Once work started, every weekday was a work day until finished. Each project always finished on schedule. I feel like I have made a lot of new friends after working with so many fine people at Precision Landscape over the last six months. I highly recommend Art Sanchez and Precision Landscape Maintenance if you have similar projects at your home or business.

After becoming first-time homeowners last year, we quickly built a wish list and began prioritizing projects. Solar and pool repair were must haves with summer approaching, and next on the list was getting rid of a decomposing wooden outdoor staircase with ridiculously oversized and hazardous wood block steps. After consulting with Bryan, we immediately felt confident in his approach and began a fun collaboration to update our property. As the project got underway it became apparent that a simple replacement with a different material wasn't sufficient. No, we imagined something grander -- which kept evolving -- and resulted in what can only be described as a work of art on our property where dirt and rotting wood once stood. Bryan's crew -- Benancio and company -- are a world-class team of builders and problem solvers. To this day, my wife and I can't believe our good fortune that we had this crew all to ourselves for the roughly month of time that the grand staircase, hundreds of feet of new pathway, additional patio expansion with a new gate, and front courtyard gazebo garden took for them to complete. We miss them! We won't miss them for too long, though, as we 100% plan on booking Majestic Hardscapes again for ambitious future ideas we dream up here at home around the property. Even though the quote was not the lowest, it was reasonably priced and they were the only contractors that answered a lot of my concerns. I had several quotes from numerous contractors and all; expect Majestic Hardscape, just give me a price. This was concerning to me because we live on a hill and the side of our yard slopes. Every contractor just suggested laying concrete to the way it slopes so water would run off the hill. Bryan was the only one who suggested that this will need further attention, such as a retaining wall in the future otherwise it will just get worse over time. They were able to level the concrete the way we wanted and recommended us to eventually level the rest of the yard in the future. They even went out of their way to take some of our old stacking bricks and used them as a temp retaining wall to aid the sloped yard. I highly recommend Bryan and his team and look forward to working with them again in the future, thanks again Bryan!
