Our old deck was severely cracked from root damage. After having then trees removed, we got multiple estimates from other contractors. We settled on Jimenez Landscaping to replace our entire concrete pool deck because of the good reviews and their estimate was significantly lower than the other companies we had come out. It took about a month start to finish, due to the fact that there is only one concrete supplier in the Escondido area. However, they did all the demolition and prep work ahead of time, so everything went as scheduled. Their attention to detail was pretty impressive. All four of our patio beams were all rotted out and needed to be replaced. They meticulously took down our outdoor speakers and carefully re-installed them once the posts were replaced. The concrete turned out beautiful. Some plant leaves seem to have gotten into the mix and left some little holes/blemishes on the surface in a few places. However, I know concrete isn't an exact science and that sort of thing can happen. Regardless, its much nicer and was installed better than the old concrete. The old concrete didn't even have rebar. Unfortunately, a few pieces of rebar fell into our pool and made rust stains on the pebble-tech surface. However, Edgar immediately sent out a pool guy with some acid and he cleaned it up perfectly. I have to deduct one star for this: They forgot to re-install the hand-rail for our swimming pool. First they accidentally hauled it off with the junk after doing the final clean-up (which could have been better), but Edgar assured me they still had the hand-rail and it would be installed after the concrete cured. I brought it up again during the final walkthrough and was told that Edgar would personally install it the following week. Months have now gone by and I have sent multiple messages to Edgar. Multiple times I was told it would be installed the following week. I have now given up. I think they lost our hand-rail to be honest, so now we have to buy a new one and install it ourselves. PS: I wish they had cleaned the concrete residue off the bricks around the pool, because I cannot figure out how to clean it off. Would I recommend Jimenez Landscaping? Yes, but I recommend staying on top of them at the end of the project to make sure cleanup is done a little better and nothing gets lost/misplaced. read more

Unfortunately, the irrigation system didn't work properly so he had to send someone out a second time to fix it. Not only that, but our bender board came off about 8-9 months after installation. Since they offer a 1 year warranty in case anything goes wrong, I contacted him to have him come fix it and he said that he would have someone out to fix it but nobody ever came out. This way past due and not sure where to start. First off quote was misleading and was suppose to included just as was indicated in the cad drawing. Supposed to remove dirt and instead spread out all the dirt dug for the plants over the hill making the situation even worse. Had two drains . One was still reaming when that were done. When's Les where the other one was they said there was just the one. Well now I'm having new landscapers that actually know what they are doing remove Moore dirt and now the other drain is found as well. This company was in nothing but a big ass hurry to get with zero attention to detail. I've done a lot of landscaping jobs at this existing house which is an acre of land and by far the worse yet.
