I used Edgar and crew to renovate our backyard that included building retaining walls, new fence, new turf, mulch, concrete flooring, several retainer structures to plant trees, irrigation, and planting several trees. The crew is very hardworking and don't cut corners. They take their time and do a thorough job. Communication could be better but it was not too difficult. Went with them for below reasons - Their quote is very competitive - They offer wide range of services. - They are flexible. I changed my plans several times and added new work but Edgar was very accommodating. read more

Our old deck was severely cracked from root damage. After having then trees removed, we got multiple estimates from other contractors. We settled on Jimenez Landscaping to replace our entire concrete pool deck because of the good reviews and their estimate was significantly lower than the other companies we had come out. It took about a month start to finish, due to the fact that there is only one concrete supplier in the Escondido area. However, they did all the demolition and prep work ahead of time, so everything went as scheduled. Their attention to detail was pretty impressive. All four of our patio beams were all rotted out and needed to be replaced. They meticulously took down our outdoor speakers and carefully re-installed them once the posts were replaced. The concrete turned out beautiful. Some plant leaves seem to have gotten into the mix and left some little holes/blemishes on the surface in a few places. However, I know concrete isn't an exact science and that sort of thing can happen. Regardless, its much nicer and was installed better than the old concrete. The old concrete didn't even have rebar. Unfortunately, a few pieces of rebar fell into our pool and made rust stains on the pebble-tech surface. However, Edgar immediately sent out a pool guy with some acid and he cleaned it up perfectly. I have to deduct one star for this: They forgot to re-install the hand-rail for our swimming pool. First they accidentally hauled it off with the junk after doing the final clean-up (which could have been better), but Edgar assured me they still had the hand-rail and it would be installed after the concrete cured. I brought it up again during the final walkthrough and was told that Edgar would personally install it the following week. Months have now gone by and I have sent multiple messages to Edgar. Multiple times I was told it would be installed the following week. I have now given up. I think they lost our hand-rail to be honest, so now we have to buy a new one and install it ourselves. PS: I wish they had cleaned the concrete residue off the bricks around the pool, because I cannot figure out how to clean it off. Would I recommend Jimenez Landscaping? Yes, but I recommend staying on top of them at the end of the project to make sure cleanup is done a little better and nothing gets lost/misplaced. read more

Great experience with Jimemez Landscaping! I was a little apprehensive at first, given the newness of the business itself, but I couldn't be happier with our new backyard. From start to finish, the project took just over a week and involved yard demo (previous owners had large dogs, so lots of holes and such), new sod, mulch, irrigation and stone work. They even did an incredible job hauling everything away and cleaning up when the job was finished. The crew was extremely respectful and professional, even when trying to digest my crazy ideas. They were the second company I had over at the house for an estimate and I I have absolutely no reservations in recommending them to friends and family. Thanks Edgar! read more

Our yard had gotten completely overgrown and i didn't even know where to start on cutting it back so that you could actually see the house again. I requested a quote on Yelp and they responded within the hour. When they came to give me a free estimate they knew exactly what I was looking for. I am so happy with the results, you can see the house and the rock river again. It looks incredible!!! I couldn't be happier. I uploaded before and after so that you can see for yourself read more

Jiminez Landscaping was recommended to me by a trusted friend who has used their services for over 8 years...including artificial turf installation. I was looking for an artificial turf expert for a while, but I was very anxious about the process. Edgar, Bacilio and their team put all my fears to rest with their professional quality service, quick response and positive attitude. I loved the results so much I asked them to install the same turf in my mom's front yard. The results are so beautiful that I want to tell everyone about it. This is a shout out to a great group of guys who do quality work...and are honest and kind as well. I will definitely call them when I have any future landscaping needs. Highly recommend! read more

First time Edgar was supposed to assess my project he flaked, which was troublesome because I took time off work to meet with him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried again. He came out and did a walk through, and told me he would follow-up with a quote. He never did. I actually texted and called him, but he never had the decency to respond. Very unprofessional company -- I strongly recommend looking elsewhere! read more

Called to schedule a time to come out and decided on Saturday morning. I had to cancel because of a work call which I contacted him on Friday. Asked when he could come out and he said he could do Sunday at 7am. He did say he didn't normally work Sunday. Sunday 7am no call or text, 1 week later same result. At least call or text to cancel. Just saying man read more

I would not recommend going with them. I hired Edgar and his company to come and install artificial turf along with irrigation system for us. Unfortunately, the irrigation system didn't work properly so he had to send someone out a second time to fix it. Not only that, but our bender board came off about 8-9 months after installation. Since they offer a 1 year warranty in case anything goes wrong, I contacted him to have him come fix it and he said that he would have someone out to fix it but nobody ever came out. I tried contacting him multiple times regarding this issue but the problem still has not been fixed. I went with him because his quote was lower than the other companies, but in the end you get what you paid for read more

He did what he could with what he had. He was rushed, did not inspect his work and after he left, the next morning, the water in the pond had leaked out from the waterfall/filter which he installed. I would not recommend him. read more

Called Jimenez Lanscaping for large cement pavers with turf or rocks in between. Edgar came out to measure and discuss project. Said bid would be emailed. Never received bid. Reached out multiple times by phone and text, zero response. If the job is too small, or you are too busy, just state this. Waste of time and very unprofessional. read more

We underwent a large project to install sod and a complete irrigation system. Edgar, his Father and their team did an exceptional job. From the quote , which included great ideas from Edgar, thru the complete installation , it went perfectly! Not only were they one of the most competitive bids ,but they suggested including more soil additives and additional preparations that all contributed to the excellent outcome. They started and Completed exactly as quoted! We even have now hired them to do our weekly landscaping service. I highly recommend them !!!!! Obtaining and walking through a quote from them was a very smooth process. However communication throughout the project could use some improvement (e.g. days work would be done, trash pick up from demo work, etc). Overall, the landscape work done was good but I've been having issues with the sprinklers installed. I've been trying to get a response from them for 3 weeks now on this issue and other concerns, and I haven't heard back. read more

Our front and backyard was absolutely consumed by weeds, to the point that it was almost like a mini forest. Edgar and his team handled it so quickly and efficiently, that I'm still amazed it looks as clean as it does. Not a single weed was left behind and the trees and bushes are nice and tidy again. For the first time in forever we can actually see our turf. Besides being incredibly good at what they do, communication was always polite and professional. Overall, we would highly recommend them not only for their work, but for the ease of the experience as well. read more

Let me say first of all the service was excellent. The initial clean up was extensive, but the price was not cheap. Maintenance was done every two weeks at first. Then, one one person showed up late. Afterwards, no service and no call answered. I personally would not recommend due to reliability. read more

Edgar came to my house to give an estimate for landscaping work. I asked when he thought he'd have the proposal to me and he said either that night or the next day. This was on 2/1/21 and after a few emails and phone calls I have gotten no response. If he didn't want or need my business, why show up in the first place. read more

Never got back to me after initial contact or responded to my later inquiries. Would not recommend.

My backyard was a complete mess. I had more weeds growing in my yard than grass and my side fence had roots growing under it from my neighbor's yard. I needed a company that I could trust and one that wouldn't rip me off, as many do nowadays. So, after searching Yelp, I contacted 3 companies for estimates, with Jimenez Landscaping being the first one. Edgar arrived on time, as promised, to give me an estimate. Something about him made me feel at ease from the start; so, after receiving two more much higher estimates, I decided to have Edgar and his crew do the job. They arrived on time and were extremely professional and thorough. It was very apparent that his crew knew their jobs and worked quickly and hard throughout the process. I was amazed that they were able to complete the entire job in 2 days as Edgar had promised. When they finished the project, they cleaned up so well that you wouldn't even know that they were there. My backyard and side fence turned out FAR BETTER than I could've ever imagined. I absolutely LOVE my yard now; it's like being on vacation at a resort. I love Edgar's work so much that I'm going to have him and his crew come back to beautify my side yard, as soon as he can fit me into his very busy schedule. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jimenez Landscaping; you will NOT be disappointed!!! 5+ stars from me!!!! read more

This way past due and not sure where to start. First off quote was misleading and was suppose to included just as was indicated in the cad drawing. Supposed to remove dirt and instead spread out all the dirt dug for the plants over the hill making the situation even worse. Had two drains . One was still reaming when that were done. When's Les where the other one was they said there was just the one. Well now I'm having new landscapers that actually know what they are doing remove Moore dirt and now the other drain is found as well. This company was in nothing but a big ass hurry to get with zero attention to detail. I've done a lot of landscaping jobs at this existing house which is an acre of land and by far the worse yet. Oh and also most expensive for the work that was eventually done. Run the other way and find someone else! read more
