Most of the shops near my home in Seattle were asking for $350+ for the job. I spoke with a nice lady on the phone initially and was told the turnaround time would be a week, or less if I needed the job done quickly. Ken's is only open M-F and closes at 5 but they do sometimes work Saturdays if they have to. When I arrived at their facility I spoke with Allan who quoted me $250 for sandblasting, epoxy and powder. Initially he said it may take 2 weeks but may be done in a week if he can. Less than a week later Allan told me the bumper was done and ready for pick-up. The whole transaction was quick and the quality of work is really nice. They plug up all the threaded holes before coating. Finish came out with a medium texture black which looks really nice. None of the little crevices were missed. Now I'm a little hesitant to take it through the bushes because it looks so good! I'd recommend Ken's. They specialize in coating anything from auto parts to industrial/commercial pieces. Talk with Allan personally and see if he can beat the price of their competitors.

Although I saw that this business seemed to focus on cars and boats, the reviews were excellent, and the pieces of furniture impressive. When I went to look at fabric options (warning: it's a bit hard to find, and you might wonder if you're in the right spot: you are), In couldn't believe the available inventory. The owner kept bringing us fabric books and helpfully explaining about quality, prices, etc. We found a pattern we liked, and the quality is excellent (UV, stain, and tear resistant). We also saw some amazing ongoing upholstery projects in the shop, so we felt confident we were in good hands. Sure enough, within just a few weeks, our chair was ready and looks like new. We're so happy with new padding, attention to detail and quality of the work. They even threw in a free tuxedo cat! (Just kidding, that's Alex.) We keep meaning (and forgetting) to bring two little stools to be matched. But have no doubt: anything we need (re)upholstered, we're coming here.

If they're too thin they can't turn them down because the rotors will crack. The young kid used dial calipers to measure them and purposely applied more pressure to the dial calipers to give a false reading. Then told me I needed a new rotor. When I asked him what the minimum thickness was he couldn't even tell me . This is an old trick it's been used for years.. then he told me the rotors would be ready by noon ... wrong I will never shop at dis honest performance in Federal Way ever again......
