This place has been around since i was a kid growing up in the neighborhood 30+ years ago. It has such a wonderful sense of nostaglia Whenever we drop something off we pay ahead and they give you an addional 10% off which is great. The turn around time is usually within a few days. Whenever we drop something off we always pick it up later than expected and never have an issue. Items always come back clean. The staff is friendly and because theyre organized we havent lost an item. There is also plenty of parking. So if your new to the area these guys do an excellent job! This place gets 0 stars. I took a grey suit to the cleaners and they returned it to me with black ink stains in the suit with rips on the surface of the suit. They offered to re wash the suit and there were bigger holes in the suit. They said that moths were eating at my clothes in the closet. I asked to speak to someone to rectify the situation, the declined to speak with me. I will file a small claims due to the unprofessionalism. This company treats Black patrons with disrespect, they lied about the mishandling of my clothing that ultimately led to it being ruined, and made insults as I left the establishment. read more

I have been coming here over 1 year the alteration department did a great job in the past this time I walk in not right before they close to get my daughters first communion dress altered the lady was completely rude from the beginning as soon as we walk through the door. If I can give them a zero I would. I even have recommended friends and family to get alterations done here which I will be tell them not to do business with this dry cleaners ever again after this situation. Hope they don't ever do this again to a child coming for her first experience of getting alterations. Please take my advice and stay away for your own good. read more

I was a loyal customer for more than 30 years. But the Managment has recently changed and it's clear they take ZERO PRIDE in they're work. On my recent trip. They destroyed a lace and denim jacket from sacks fifth Avenue and blamed it on me for not asking them to iron down the seams etc. The tags were falling off the denim was tearing it looked terrible I'm heartbroken. On the same trip a free people white top had a blue stain on it and wasn't even pressed. Another excuse. Is all I got and lastly a pair of jeans that had the studs falling off ..... Why on earth do we take things to the dry cleaner if they're not safe even there. I find it hard to believe they even dry cleaned my items. This was the last chance I wouldn't recommend them if they were the last place on New York. Come on take a little pride in your work. !!!! read more

Absolutely horrible! From how the clothes are cleaned to their customer service.! Doesn't deserve a star!

Literally ruined a dress that, through my fault, should not have been dry cleaned. Unfortunately I hadn't read the label on my dress prior to taking it to the cleaners. HOWEVER, as a dry cleaning business isn't there job to take proper care of any material brought in? You'd think after you paid your money they'd double check labels to ensure longevity of clothing brought in. I went to pick up my dress and received it in such poor condition. I had to return to ask them what was up with the stitching that had been pulled in various locations. On top of that, several parts of the dress had been full of lint. This place cares very little about your item and thrives on overcharging. I'll never bring my items here and I'll be sure to deter my family and friends from bringing their clothing here. read more

This local organic cleaners is a great place to go to when you have those special and non special items to dry clean. Pros: Free parking Nice owner and staff Large facility Onsite alterations and fitting room Cons: Pricey I guess since they are going green and everything costs alot more now, they had to shell out the expenses to us. I don't mind paying sometimes but it makes you think twice before you want to dry clean everything. They are really quick here and opened pretty much during and after work hours. I've lived in this neighborhood my entire life and have used this cleaners my entire life. Unfortunately the new management are either unscrupulous or unknowledgeable. My last order I received back a blouse that obviously had only been pressed and not cleaned at all. It still had some very light stains on the back which should have come out easily. I'm now looking for a new dry cleaner. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I believe the place is under new management and all I can say is Consumer: check your received garments before you leave. I had 2 shirts dropped off for laundering and got them back with holes. The manager admitted that they did the damage but stated that my shirts were old so it wasn't his fault and only refunded my cleaning cost. I have been using this dry cleaner for years. I have no problem with the dry cleaning section, except for the time they lost my son's suit. I don't hold that against them because it was recovered. However, the alteration department is another story. I loved Tony and Jenny they were great at alterations. The new tailor and seamstress on the other hand are a bit lazy. I dropped off a dress to be altered and was told it would be ready on Tuesday. I was happy with that because I needed it for an event on Thursday evening. When I got there it hadn't even been touched. She didn't even apologize, she just said it wasn't ready and I should come back on Thursday. I was desperate so I had to just leave it there. Now today I attempted to have a skirt altered which has a slit that is not appropriate for my pre-teen. I was told by the tailor that "it was too much work". Can you imagine? I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

DONOT go to this dry cleaners. Strike 1-I put a new pair of slacks in for dry cleaning and they mixed my my slacks in with a red garment and the color bled. I needed the pants to travel for business . They offered to re-clean I didn't bother . Strike 2-I put a pair of pants in for tailoring on Wednesday 9am went to pick them up Saturday 130p and they were not ready . The lady had the nerve to say I didn't pay (which I did). Then the excuse was the tailor who took in the pants works M-F . okay my pants should have been done before Friday. Strike 3-no apology for either incident. I will never use them Again. My family has been coming here on and off for 25 years. They never cease to aggravate. I don't know why we keep returning but MY cycle ends now. The latest debacle is I took a brand new pair of pants to be hemmed, literally taking them out of the plastic in front of the tailor. When I get them back, great hem but horrible stain- looks like motor oil! Probably from the filthy floor. Tailor claims he knows nothing about it but manager cleans without charge. First attempt for them to clean 50% (un)successful. Currently reattempting. Last time I took a light pink dress to hem it came back with a huge pen mark- thank God I know that alcohol removes pen so I could save my (once again, brand new) dress! Wait, I do know why I returned, they clean winter coats and comforters for half the price of other cleaners. But did I mention the time I went to pick up my comforter and there was DOG POOP on the bottom of the plastic bag???!!!! I swear to God! I should've been done then. But I'm done now. read more

Horrible, Dishonest Service!!! I have had other issues, but this tops them all. I dropped off a blazer and pair of slacks for next day service. No problem, they said. I waited 2 days, returned and they could not locate my clothing. I waited more than 20 minutes while they aimlessly "searched" for my clothing. I explained that I had an engagement and had to leave. I asked that I be refunded for the cleaning, as I pre-paid. No one knew how to give the refund. As more time passed, I asked that they note that I was due a refund on my receipt so that when they found my clothing I could receive my refund. One of the employees, the same one who took my clothing (male, early 20's, brown curly hair, pony-tailed hair, perhaps Latin descent), did so in the presence of everyone and initialed the receipt "A.G." Today, when I returned to pick up my clothing, I was told that, despite having the initialed receipt, I would not receive the refund, only a credit!! In fact, it was the same man who searched for my clothing (40's, brown-skinned, perhaps Asian Indian descent), claimed to be confused about how to issue the refund, and witnessed when the receipt was marked "refund" and initialed. I advised them that I have every intention of suing Jim Dandy Cleaners and they will spend many thousands more in legal fees than they needed to had they just taken responsibility and honored their word. The same man looked shocked when I handed him my business card indicating that I am an attorney. read more
