We ran into some complications and put the project on a shelf for several months. I came back to Lyle and Prepared Accounting as we began renovations on our commercial space and just in time for tax season. Despite being in full tilt for the April tax deadlines, Lyle took on our tax return and books management without hesitation and without judgement for being underprepared (my label, not his). He turned it around in record time, being sensitive to some of our other financial applications that needed our returns early, and stayed late with me one night to get me and the books up to speed. In short, I came to him with a late request, with weak documentation and preparation on my end, and he turned it around and delivered excellent service. I also found him to be extremely considerate, kind, and sensitive to the stresses small business owners feel in their early years. I will be recommending him widely in the area and returning for his services regularly. Prepared Accounting far exceeded even my most ambitious expectations for great tax and accounting services.

I got a confirmation, and then two emails from the calendar confirming the appt, and an email from Lyle saying he could meet with me for 15 minutes. I didn't notice that the calendar appointments were set for 3pm, instead of my requested time. I sent 2 emails, with no reply, and decided to wait until 3 pm. As of this posting, (3:30pm) I still have not heard from Lyle, nor anyone else at Prepared Accounting about my appointment. No invitation to go to meeting, nor any word as to why my appointment time changed inexplicably. I guess I will keep looking for a good CPA.

For the years that "life" has monopolized my time, Mr. Grzelak automatically filed an extension for me & mailed the documents to my home... Couldn't ask for more attentive services than that. I've watched this business grow and evolve into what it is today and I will truly affirm that clients receive fantastic, personalized services. (love those pre-prep packets each January = soooo helpful for busy people) I've sent friends and family to have their personal taxes completed by Zach & his crew for many years now... And all are satisfied. Keep up the good work!

Today was my last straw: I waited three hours for a promised callback, eventually called them again only to be left on hold until the line went dead, and then had to call a third time only to deal with a rude receptionist. I ended up having to leave my work and go into their office in person, just for some simple information! I really discourage anyone from doing business here. It's not worth the stress they will cause you with their awful service.

Knowing the max contribution amount would have saved me over $100 on my taxes. When asked to explain how they missed this, the explanation offered was "well they've changed a lot of things this year." I don't know why anyone else goes to purported tax professionals to have their taxes done, but my primary reason was because the US tax system is labyrinthine and confusing. It is no use going to "professionals" if they do not know more about the system than the layman. I would not recommend using this service.
