    Review of Complete Payroll Solutions / iSolved Buyer Beware:…read moreUnresolved Payroll Issues and Poor Communication We engaged Complete Payroll Solutions in 2013 on the assurance that they would resolve outstanding Massachusetts unemployment tax issues from a previous payroll company and ensure our account was managed properly moving forward. We were told our company would be "in good hands" after making the transition. In May 2025, after a decade of working with them, we were notified by the Massachusetts unemployment office of an outstanding tax liability of over $106,000 dating back to the years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. This was the first time we were made aware of this issue since working with the company. My attempts to resolve this with iSolved (the new name for Complete Payroll Solutions) have been met with significant challenges. My initial email took two weeks to receive a response, and I was informed that the company would not assist in correcting the issues they were hired to prevent. Despite numerous follow-up emails and phone calls, my requests for a call back from management went unanswered. I did not receive a single return call or substantive response. Based on our experience, this company failed to perform the primary duties they were hired for and demonstrated a complete lack of customer support. I cannot recommend doing business with them.

    Working with Complete Payroll Solutions has been an absolute nightmare for my company, from start…read moreto finish. We registered for payroll services with Machias Savings Bank and began servicing through Complete Payroll Solutions/iSolved in October. Though we only have two staff members, and are only paid twice a month, since our contract began we have experienced major issues in nearly every interaction with this company: * Two weeks after providing all payroll documents, my paycheck simply was not processed. My bills bounced. When I reached out, I was told that was "his mistake" and he had dropped the ball. * A month later, I still had yet to receive login information, and reached out again to be added to our payroll system. * Our holiday bonus checks were requested to be added. However, it took them three payroll cycles of reminding before it got done. It was not actually processed until almost March. * During bookkeeping, my office manager noticed that the total being paid out on one staff member's check was off by about $30 each pay period. Though she has reached out multiple times about this issue, copying multiple team members, it never was resolved. This created issues with our books that my office manager had to manually correct each time, incurring us additional staff costs. * This incorrect payment amount further created an issue with our W2. Once we discovered this we were notified that another W2 will need to be provided, but that this service was in a "blackout period" at the payroll company so we are in a queue. I haven't received any further updates on this issue, or new W2, and it is mid-March now. * We finally terminated our services and received their confirmation of termination. We were told that all payroll would be voided. However, now we were still debited over $5,000 for the upcoming payroll, and an email confirmation that payroll was still processed. We had already switched over to our new payroll provider, so were faced with a duplicate payroll issue to resolve. * When we terminated, we received an email stating that, due to termination prior to the end of our contract, we were being charged an early termination fee of over $1,600! * Upon pushback about how we "feel were were treated unfairly," they offered a 50% fee reduction. Upon further pushback and request for our payroll service fees ($800) to also be refunded due to all of these issues, we were told that our service fees will not be refunded. No explanation was provided. ALL OF THIS took place over less than 5 months with this company. And we only have 2 staff members to run payroll for. I cannot believe that this place is still in business, as everything they touched turned into chaos for us. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and sharing our story everywhere that I can, to help other people avoid this nightmare. Do yourself a favor and never, ever use this company's services!
