For some reason, they started falling out one by one, and my regular girl was out of town. I panicked. I needed to find someone fast so that I wouldn't have to spend two weeks out of the country looking like a chia pet! I stumbled upon Anastasia's salon, and even though she was booked solid, she did me a favor and took the time to fix my tapes. The morning after, 3 hours before my flight, A few more of the original pieces fell out! I called Anastasia in a panic, and as usual, she was fully booked! Again, she was kind enough to make time for me last minute. She save me and is my hero! She is absolute angel, professional, kind, generous and a stunning woman on top of all that! She did an incredible job, and suffice it to say I will be using her from now on.

She did custom hair extensions: 250-300 grams of Russian curly/ wavy texture, 18". Bundles: 3 different colored bundles to blend with the base tone, highlights, and low lights. Method: i-tip/ keratin bead (no heat) installation Process: color and highlights on natural hair to match. It took all day to complete, which she was exhausted by the end... But it turned out fantastic. At home I did a light trim of the ends and straightened the hair to really see her work. Nearly one month has passed and not 1 single extension has come loose. The hair is still in good condition and does not shed, nor tangle. I am very happy with her work and look forward to my next appointment!

I came here to for a wash and blowout and even brought my own products because my hair has very specific needs. The owner refused to use them and kept trying to school me and tell me how awful my products were, even though they are high quality and expensive and THEY WORK FOR ME! The entire experience here was scary, honestly. She wasn't friendly or nice, started spewing some stuff about Jewish people, I don't even remember what she was saying, but I do remember she made me very uncomfortable. Would not stop asking me personal questions even though I was visibly trying to avoid them and give vague answers. My hair lasted about 20 min and became frizzy the moment I got home, with all the "wonderful" products she used. Ugh, would never go back.

Service requested - Hair Botox from Groupon. Decent price given the location and treatment. I paid…read moreabout $260 plus $80 tip, total cost under $350 I think, which includes purchase of $100 for an extra bowl of product for longer hair. Quality - unfortunately it was just okay. My hair was better before I got there in a way that I had volume and bouncy curls. The hair Botox product was applied too heavily on my roots and not enough on the ends so the top is super flat and frizzy at end ends/mid length --it's been giving a triangular shape like Darth Vader. It's been a month now and the top is much flatter still than the rest of my hair. The frizziness is at the bottom of my hair and the top of my head is flat so my face looks more dragged down. One complaint that I didn't say anything about is that the stylist brushed my hair really hard that I could hear and feel my hair getting pulled after it was washed. I'm thinking maybe Hair Botox isn't a thing they normally do so that's why the application isn't as skilled. Who knows. However, the Hair Botox product itself has made my hair more manageable and easier to blow dry. It has helped cut my blow dry time in half. Before it took over an hour, now it's 35min. Vibe - the stylists are mom and daughter and both very nice and easy to talk to. You can tell they have regular clients so that's why I'd like to think my hair Botox situation was a one off experience. I am sure their other services are better. The vibe is very laid back and casual, where the a stylist wears pajamas and house slippers. The place is located in Salon Republic, there is metered street parking in front. However, when scheduling an appointment, I reached out a few times to confirm if I had made the right one and never received an answer back, so when I got there it turned out that I made an appointment with the wrong person, so there was miscommunication there or lack there of. They still took me in though which was nice. The stylist I had was personable, I told her it was my first time doing Hair Botox so that's why we did a trial with regular strength for now and see how it is. So perhaps next time I may request for a lighter strength and ask to see if it's possible to put majority of the product at mid-length/ends so that I can still keep volume. I may possibly consider returning and will update this post when I do. After the product was flat ironed in my hair, I walked out looking like tweety bird with little hairs sticking up and the rest of my hair was soo flat I almost looked bald and did not want to see anyone. That's normal though since it was just applied. After I washed my hair at home though it gained a tiny bit of volume back which the stylist said was expected.

I found Jayrun on a whim, had an event coming up and needed my dark reddish brown (colored at home...yikes) corrected; I was looking for a chocolately/caramel mix up for the summertime. So glad she managed to fit me in before my event because she's the best!! Jayrun is a GENIUS with the color. She was very patient and spent hours on my hair the first time I visited her. She managed to correct color and left it a beautiful, natural base color with very natural looking caramel/blonde highlights. Since she cut my hair, it is easier to style and looks healthier despite the bleaching processes. The best part was that the color looked even better each time I washed it :) I recently went back to Jayrun for another process and she managed to exceed my expectations yet again. She has this magical way of making your highlights look super natural while leaving the roots the right color to frame the face. Basically, Jayrun just KNOWS what it going to look great and she doesn't fail to deliver it. As for pricing, I find it very reasonable - I honestly expected to pay more for such great quality service and results. She very generously did not charge me for the extended time and color during my first process, as well as offers salon quality products to her clients at the reduced wholesale prices. Finally, Jayrun is just the sweetest and funnest stylist I've ever been to! She makes you feel at home during your visit, follows up with her clients, and genuinely cares if you're happy with the results. I recently moved out of state and am avoiding having anything done to my hair until I'm back in Los Angeles because no one can do it that well :)
