Dr. Kakos was quite helpful in trying to find an answer as he helped me more in three weeks than multiple tests done elsewhere. It feels much better after some simple anti- inflammatory meds and some time off from sports/ workouts. The office workers are always helpful and cheerful as well. They engage you upon coming in and as you leave. Will definitely come here for all sports or muscle related issues, no question. This place is easy to get to, and comfortable as a patient. "Yeah - it's our policy." Really? Policy or complete inefficiency? Inefficiency for sure. I then had to sign 3 printed sheets - (is this 2023? Or 1993?). I received a 3 page receipt which I didn't even need a printed receipt for a $15 copay. Why waste the paper and tree? Why not at least ask me if I wanted or needed? However, a SLAP lesion/ Rotator Cuff surgery scared me. The mentality: If someone is going to do surgery on me, I want someone who is a specialist and has done this same procedure a LOT! Like hundreds of times... like almost autopilot, and if anything is weird, they can recognize it and not be freaked out about it. This is Dr. Ciullo. How I found Dr. Ciullo: Internet! There was one very high (5 star) yelp review, but everywhere else on the Internet it said if you are going to have shoulder surgery in Southeast Michigan, you need to have it done by Dr. Ciullo. The office: Arriving was easy, with good parking. Although I waited for 30 minutes after my initial appointment, I consider that "acceptable". I want my doctor to be thorough with others and with me. It was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is a fair hike around the building. The staff was very friendly. Personally: Dr. Ciullo is a nice guy, that doesn't mess around. He gets straight to the point. I was literally in and out, correctly diagnosed, and explained my issues in less than 15 minutes. I didn't feel like he was going to be my buddy, but I didn't feel like I was just a number either. He was pretty clinical, very professional, with a dry sense of humor, and I felt he really knew his material. Procedure: I knew I had a shoulder issue, and had researched my problem. There is a 4 step test to see if it's one thing or another... I recognized when Dr. Ciullo used it, and was surprised when he reported no major issues. Then I told him if I moved in a certain direction (and showed him my movements) I had pain. He replied, "You have a SLAP lesion, it does not receive blood flow so it will not repair itself, and you have to have surgery. I'm going to send you for a test to confirm it, but I'm 99% sure". And he was Right! A test to confirm, a phone call to schedule the surgery, and the next time I saw Dr. Ciullo I was being prepared for surgery. Afterwards, he said there was some extra garbage, due to years of irritating the initial tear, and he cleaned it all up. YAY! Bonus cleanout! 3 Days of ice and meds, and I was back to my low impact job. I will be immobilized for 4 weeks, then 8 weeks of rehab, and I should be close to 100% before Christmas. I cannot thank you enough Dr. Ciullo! 5 STARS!! 10 if I could give them!

This time the therapy didn't work. When I asked my doctor friends and others, who was the best, one name kept coming up. Ciullo. When my family doctor told me I should see a shoulder specialist like Dr. Ciullo, then I agreed. It is about an hour and a half from Saginaw, but it was well worth it. Within a couple of weeks after surgery my range of motion had greatly improved and the pain significantly diminished. Dr. Ciullo told me he'd had done 31000 shoulders. This is no amateur. I am extremely pleased.

When my son broke his leg skiing, we were given Dr Siwiec's name to contact the next business day…read moreabout a cast. And we're so glad we were! Dr Siwiec and his staff were so great to work with. A broken bone and casting are very scary things to deal with when you're seven-years-old, but everyone explained very patiently what they were doing to help my son, and he calmed down and felt better. When he wasn't so stressed out, the healing could begin. Everyone from the woman on the phone making our appointment, to the assistants who got us situated in rooms, to the x-ray techs who took new pictures of the break each time, to those lucky souls who got to cut off the old casts (the loudest part, and my son's least favorite) were excellent. While we hope never to need them again, this would be our first call if we were dealing with a similar emergency again.

He tells me to come in person in February and he'll examine me and we'll discuss options. 2-2-22 I go in and it's the doctor sends in someone else, AGAIN, no exam, AGAIN, they send me home. 3-2-22 I demand to see Dr. Pierce, who is SUPPOSED to be in charge of this circus. He assures me that I will NEVER have to deal with anybody else but him again. I haven't seen him since this date in March. 4-6-22 I video appointment the kid dr again. I tell him my hips have become a BIG problem. He says he'll send script for an x-ray. It's now 5-27, and no script for an x-ray. 4-20-22 I have an MRI for my spine, which is most of my issue. 4-26-22 I have video appointment with the same boy doctor. He says we're out of options and I need to see a spine specialist. He will refer me to one and I should hear from them soon. It's 5-27 and still no spine dr. He says someone will call to schedule my next video call. 5-26-22 I call the office to find our what's going on. I also tell then I have broken 2 bones in my foot, and was in a car accident and broke 6 ribs. I call the office and tell them this. I tell them they didn't make a follow up appointment and I am out of pain meds. She tells me the drs are all out and I might have to wait until next Tuesday.
