One of the worst clinics I have ever seen in 35 years of practice. These people claiming they are doctors and practitioners are nothing but a scam. They dictate what they want to do without asking the patient about their problems. After 21/2 hours waiting a doctor came yelling at the nurse why I was still sitting in the chair, my pants should be down, and lying on my face to get the injections he decided to give me without explanations. I have severe health anxiety and felt extremely comfortable in Tracy's care. When I came to this office, I was already annoyed by the 20-30 min wait times before you're even called into a room. The office staff is never accountable or apologetic for anything. If anything, Rose and Gabby go out of their way to be petty. If there is an issue at the office they will never speak to you, they make other people call you back. Rose did a PA for a medication once, under my maiden name, after already giving them my new married name and new drivers license. I went round and round with the pharmacy and the office until I requested to see the PA approval form. Had Rose taken two seconds to speak to me about it, she would've realized her error. Instead she was rude to me via email correspondence, and made it seem like I was the reason for all of the confusion. Don't even get me started on the amount of times I have had my prescriptions sent to the incorrect pharmacy and 30 day refills after requesting 90 day refills for non-narcotic meds. I have lapsed in my medications that cannot be stopped abruptly 3 times because of their inefficiencies. When I spoke to the office mang., Brandy, regarding my frustration's of the office, her response was wild. She said and I quote "yah F*&k my life, I gave two many employees time off with checking to see who was off first". I myself work in a medical office and am appalled that the office mang speaks to patients in this way. Even after all of this, I stayed because Tracy is a WONDERFUL practitioner who actually listens to you. Well, today was the final straw. After being scheduled for med refill and bloodwork appt, I showed up for my appt, only to be told that HE'LL be in shortly. When I asked who "he" was, I was told Dr Patterson will be in to explain everything. I have historically only seen Tracy the NP, and had never even met Dr Patterson. Brandie the office mang never once said anything to me that my provider had changed, let alone that Tracy was no longer even a part of the practice. After waiting until 9:20am for my 8:40 appt, I walked out. I asked for a records release to sign as I was leaving and could hear the back office talking about me. How I just "walked out". Now that Tracy is gone, I will never return to this office. Dr Patterson is transitioning to concierge medicine and will now be requiring an annual fee for tiered patient care. I already pay my copays, deductibles, and coinsurances. I would never pay an annual fee for a Doctor who doesn't give a shit about how shitty his office runs or how they treat their patients.

Then three months later I felt pain in my chest, and my heart rate was high suddenly. I went to see him again, he said it's nothing, just your muscles and he prescribed muscle relaxer! I took the pills for another week and got worse. Called him, he said maybe your heart then, do the blood test. I did the blood test immediately and then although the test result was normal, he called me and asked me to go to the emergency room on Saturday night at 10 PM! We went to ER, were there until next morning and did lots of tests, and everything was normal (they told me we don't know why he sent you to ER at all but if you like you can ask him to write a CT scan to be sure everything is ok!) I called him to send me a CT scan order he told me I should schedule another appointment and see him again to give me the test order!! I scheduled another appointment and went to see him, and he said ok if you want to do the CT scan here is the order (he could do that without asking me to go and pay for another visit). I told him BTW I had thyroid problems before (he knew that from my files), do you think we should test it too? He said, hm it's not from thyroid but why not, let's test that too! I checked my thyroid, and it was super high!!! Finally, it turned out that it was my thyroid, not my heart or muscles !! I ended up paying 3000$ for ER and 400$ for the office visits !!! I WILL NOT recommend him for anything more than an annual checkup...

This was my first visit, and I came in dealing with significant finger, hand, wrist, and elbow pain. Dr. Wiater was extremely attentive and took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He provided an injection, ordered a nerve study, and took me off work for a few weeks so I could properly heal. Once carpal tunnel syndrome was confirmed, he worked closely with both me and my employer to create a gradual return-to-work plan with appropriate restrictions. My pain and symptoms were never ignored. His PA, Claire, is also wonderful--compassionate, attentive, and great to work with. I am still healing from the steroid injection and will be starting physical therapy soon, but I feel confident in my care every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. Wiater and his team. The entire staff is awesome.

If I could give zero stars I would…read more TL; DR - If you are looking for a practice that offers ridiculously long wait times, an incredibly rude front office staff, and medical care that will feel rushed, careless and like they have no clue that they're doing, this is the place for you! Avoid this place. They will see you for 5 minutes after you've been waiting loooooong past your scheduled appointment time. Multiple times we've waited for over an hour to be seen. This was not an isolated incident as it has happened consistently regardless of when the appt is scheduled (morning, afternoon, etc.). If the care we received was worth it, I don't think we'd mind waiting but in multiple visits the PA/NP (Nicole?) has been neither thorough nor compassionate. I wasn't going to leave a review but was truly shocked to see their high rating so felt I owed the community at large a fair warning. Stay away from this practice unless you are looking for a practice that wastes your time and gives you subpar care. There are better places in the nearby area (Troy, Birmingham) who will value your time and treat you with the compassionate care you deserve. If you are already a patient here, I encourage you to find another practice and potentially look into filing a formal complaint through LARA as well as your insurance company if your "care" was as subpar as ours has been, as I will be looking into. This is absolutely appalling. But at least the front office staff is pleasant! Kidding - they're incredibly rude and unhelpful - negativity attracts negativity. If you're a potential patient give them a call and see how helpful they are about your questions or scheduling before you commit to get a taste of what you'll be dealing with. Then time how long it takes to be seen.
