They told me that my car needed master cylinder fluid in order to pass inspection as well as air filters. I said I would have my mechanic do it. He then told me that my car would not pass inspection if I didn't have it done. He called me out to then say that my tires needed to be rotated back to front and he would do it for free. He called me out a third time to say that he would not inspect my car because it needed front breaks. I left and took the car to my mechanic where it passed inspection right away. The staff there is very dishonest and try to sell you services you do not need. There was a woman that paid for $300 worth of services for a car that was practically new. DO NOT go to this location as they are dishonest. read more

They took over an hour to change my oil. Charged an arm and a left. Then soon after my car was making a funny noise. Turns out they forgot to replace my radiator cap!! I had no antifreeze left I'm really shocked and angry about the complete incompetence I experienced here! read more

Came here to get my oil changed and my AC tuned up. Wound up waiting a lot longer than I planned/expected, but they got the job done and customer service was incredibly friendly. I needed the work done that day and they got it done, so that's all I could really ask for. Didn't try to upsell me anything and pointed out some genuine concerns that I was glad to have them take care of. Would gladly come back here again in a pinch. You pay a little bit more than you might at a local mechanic, but the convenience for walk in service will garner that premium. read more

Oil change was quick, however after always getting regular oil they just went ahead and put in synthetic without telling me until it was time to pay. I don't understand why they wouldn't just simply ask me or go off of what the computers history tells them. I feel like they just wanted a quick buck and took advantage of me 100 percent. Then, I get back into my car to leave and I noticed my overhead sunglasses compartment was open and my daughter's sunglasses were suddenly missing. When I asked about them nobody seemed to have known what I was talking about, of course. After years of being a customer Ive never had an experience like this. read more

They did my inspection super fast and were extremely polite and friendly. The first time I attempted to get an inspection was a year ago and the woman was kind enough not to charge me when I failed. Against my better judgment I took my car here for an inspection. First off, there's nothing jiffy about this place. I drove up at 1:20PM. At 1:30 another car drove up and was told to go in front of me and they're getting the same exact service. I waited until 2pm and finally gave up and went to a more reputable mechanic. Oh not to mention last time I was here, got an oil change...went home and the next day I noticed my driveway had a pool of oil on it...brought it back to the same walking zombies and they insisted nothing was leaking...brought it to a different jiffy lube and they said it was a skip plate that had oil pooling in it from the previous oil change...fixed 1,2,3!! The Bethpage JL had a 2 hour wait, so I called this location and they said to come down. The tech, Chris, was able to squeeze me in and got everything done within an hour. I have to say, just stay away. I went to this location on 1/6/23 for a synthetic oil change on my 2015 Enclave. That cost me $4500. There is no cost or time savings going to this place. I waited on an auto line for 1 hour before my vehicle was brought inside. A synthetic oil change is now over $100 + tax + $14 for a 6th quart of oil. A few minutes after sitting down in the waiting room I was called to the bay to be shown (sold) something. The attendant showed me a dry ATF stick, saying my transmission was low on ATF and needed a transmission flush. 1st, my ATF dipstick will always show dry when the engine is off, it must be running to give an accurate reading. The attendant either knows this and is trying to deceive me or is incompetent. I asked them to add a quart but they refused saying it was imperative I get a flush. I was thinking the car is old so a flush was probably in order so I agreed to their $250 flush service. A week or so later I was on a long trip with the Enclave. I noticed the vehicle would shudder on an incline while in the 3rd or 4th gear. I was really concerned so I brought the vehicle to a transmission shop as soon as I arrived home. The shop confirmed the shudder and suggested a transmission flush in which I informed them that was recently done. I told them there was no shudder before the flush and they confirmed damage to the transmission to which it must be rebuilt at a cost of $4500. Transmission shop asked about what ATF was used during the flush. I checked the Jiffy Lube invoice and it stated Universal Tranny Fluid. The shop told me putting anything but Dexron VI fluid in a GM transmission can definitely damage it. I called this place 6 or 7 times and not once did anyone pick up the phone. They surely won't accept responsibility. Instead they point to legal ease on the invoice or call me an opportunist or state my tranny was already damaged. Folks, stay away from these places. They don't pay the workers high enough to attract competent help. There is no way to know what is going on down below or what they are pumping into your vehicle. A small mistake can be extremely costly. read more

Visit Date: December 27, 2017 I came to this Jiffy Lube because I didn't like my experience at the Baldwin one but I needed an oil change and they were on the way home. This one was great. The guy who I dealt with got my car in and out really fast I appreciated it. At night I have to get home from work to my small son so any errand that I can get done fast either right before work or right after is greatly appreciated. Went for a nys inspection on my car....only 1 vehicle was in a bay being serviced for an oil change. No other cars ahead of me. I was told it would be a min 45 minute wait. If oil change cars came, they would be taken ahead of me. There were 3 employees....all they did was ignore the customers and argue with each other ignoring the customers on line and in the waiting area This is not the 1st issue I have had with this establishment but it will be the last. There are plenty of other service stations in this area that would love the business of my 4 cars read more

I recently got a car, and I needed to get an inspection and an oil change. I was visiting my brother, and he recommended this Jiffy Lube, which is on the way to his house. I arrived there just before 11 am on a Saturday, which was a good time, because the place was empty. Within a few minutes, a few cars came in and the place was crowded. Upon arrival, I was quickly greeted. I told them what I needed, and they told me where to drive my car (one area is for inspections). The people working there were friendly, professional, and efficient. I was out in roughly a half hour. Now, I have an older car, and I was expecting them to upsell me on some extras. Aside from some things I already knew (some lights needed replacing, and I was a bit low on anti-freeze), I was not told that I needed anything extra. The mechanic just called me up to the computer, told me what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I got no surprises, which was a relief. For that reason, I raised my review to 4 stars. read more

Fast if you go at 8am. Terrible service though, they said they vacuumed and topped off the fluids but the carpet wasn't touched and the washer fluid was bone dry. Had to go back to get what I was charged for. I'm not convinced the oil was even changed. This is the second time this has happened to me here, so I'm not going back. read more

I will never go to that Jiffy Lube again. I got there at 8:20 in the morning, there was one mechanic working on a van, he saw me standing in the office, but never came in to ask what I needed or even acknowledge my existence. At 8:40 another mechanic came in said good morning to me, but never asked me what I needed to have done. At 8:45 he finally came and asked what I needed, and told me to pull my car behind the van it would be another 5 minutes. In the meantime another car came in and he had her pull into another bay and started working on her immediately. I waited another 15 minutes and left! read more
