For several years, I have had some of my cars serviced at Richie's. I have never had a problem with their work or price of service. The owner is very personable and knowledgeable about his business. Recently Richie's business was reopened after a fire had destroyed the station. The new physcility is state of the art service station and has a contemporary apperance compared to what it look like in the past. In the town of Huntington, you must have an employee of the station pump your gas. Their prices do not reflect any differences from competition. I actually like the idea that someone else is pumping gas since I can avoid my hands smelling of gas after pumping. read more

I recently moved to Melville, just 3 minutes up the road from Richie's. I use my car for work, so require constant service and maintenance. I've had multiple services done at Richie's including battery replacement, oil change, tire replacement, and tire repair. I'm very happy with the auto service, customer service, and speed at which they get the job done. They're also open at 7am, which is great it you need to be on the move early. Prices are reasonable too, and mark up on the tires wasn't bad. I'd rather pay a few bucks extra to support a local business and save myself the extra trip anyway. read more

Richie was speaking as though I was way below him. He was giving attitudes, which were in way of being inappropriate. For example, he called to tell me about my inspection and said he will not allow the car out of his shop if i do not get the brakes and tires done by him. He was talking as though he was going to hold my car hostage unless I paid the ridiculous amount for tires. When i tried to discuss with him he refused to listen until my father spoke with him, which then he was very polite. He failed my inspection and let me take the car. After he spoke with my father, when I went back he spoke to me like a bully. He pulled my inspection sticker and oil change reminder off my car and never replaced. He refused to give me a temporary inspection sticker so i can drive my car. Richie charged me for window washer fluid when i never asked him to fill. It already had fluid in it ( i know this because i checked before I brought it), but he refused to clear that charge even though before I left the car with him I told him if he is going to touch anything on my car to let me know before he does. I caught him speaking with men and he was so polite, but when it came to me he was rude and disgusting. SEXIST!!! I find it disgusting to have men working for the community when they are sexist and do not follow specific protocols.This I felt was a form of HARRASMENT!!!! read more

Little rough around the edges but they are clear and concise with what needs to be done to your car and do not overprice.

This morning I stopped at Richies with a headlight in hand and told him I thought I could do it ,we both laughed he said not as easy with these kinds of cars He was quick fast and told me he fixed my problem and said have a nice day free of charge. I took my Mercedes ML350 in for an inspection and had a check engine light on and issues with the brake lights and front parking lights. Richie was there to talk to me and the shop was very busy, but he took the truck in for service and very efficiently diagnosed the problems and let me know what was needed. The shop is gorgeous and state of the art and the technicians were very nice and personable. The price for the repairs were very fair and accurate. It was an overall pleasant experience at Richie's and would highly recommend the shop. read more
