UPDATE (11/10/25): I am updating my previous review to reflect the outstanding commitment and…read moreservice provided by Bob (Manager) and his team in resolving a very complex, long-running issue with my van's AC system. The Background (The Challenge): Over several months this summer, my 2016 Sienna required extensive HVAC service, totaling over $6,000. After a full front-end AC replacement and rear AC work, the system was cooling, but new problems arose: significantly reduced airflow and incorrect venting from the defrost vents. Since these issues did not exist before the dash was disassembled for the evaporator replacement, I suspected a reassembly issue. The Resolution (Why They Earned 5 Stars): When I brought the vehicle back, the management team (specifically Bob) stepped up to ensure the problem was addressed fairly. Labor Covered: The labor required to completely tear down and reassemble the dashboard to access and replace this actuator--which is the most expensive part of the repair--was fully covered by Christian Brothers as a warranty adjustment. Fair Compromise: The manager, Bob, proposed a fair compromise to split the cost of the replacement actuator part, saving me hundreds of dollars on the part alone. After investing heavily in my van, it was frustrating to have a subsequent issue. However, the management team at Christian Brothers listened, used the timeline I provided (no error codes before their work, reduced flow immediately after), and honored their responsibility to resolve the problem. This level of accountability and commitment to making the customer whole is why they continue to earn my trust and a 5-star rating. I highly recommend Christian Brothers, especially for their commitment to standing behind their work when issues arise. UPDATE (10/23/25): I've bumped my review to 3 stars because Christian Brothers is working with me to resolve the issue. I'll update the review to reflect the outcome. I've been a longtime customer and have always had excellent service from Christian Brothers in the past, which is why the recent experience with my van's AC system has been so disappointing. After spending over $7,600 and enduring three separate, lengthy visits, the AC system is still not working properly. My initial visit was on June 2nd because the AC wasn't blowing cold air. They replaced the schrader valves and performed an evac and recharge. A few weeks later, the warm air returned. On the second visit, they covered the cost of replacing one of the schrader valves again but then recommended a full replacement of the AC compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator core for the front system. This was a costly and extensive repair that was severely delayed due to a faulty OEM part being sent, leaving me without my vehicle for about a week. Still, the issue persisted. On the third visit, they determined the problem was with the rear AC system, recommending the replacement of the rear expansion valve and evaporator core. Again, this repair was delayed by a wrong OEM part, extending the time I was without my vehicle yet again. While the system is finally blowing cold air, it is still not functioning correctly following all the extensive repairs: - The airflow is significantly reduced--it no longer blows as hard as it did before these repairs began. This issue seemed to start after the second, major front-end repair. - We now get condensation forming on the windshield when the AC is running. Air is incorrectly coming out of the defrost vents by the window without the defroster being activated. These new operational issues, which were not present before, strongly suggest something was not put back together correctly during the multiple teardowns and rebuilds of the front dash. Given the continuous misdiagnoses, parts delays, and the fact that I've invested over $7,600 for a system that now has new defects, I feel incredibly taken advantage of and very disappointed. I expect the team to stand behind their work and immediately resolve these remaining performance issues at no further cost. But unfortunately they've told me that because it's past 30 days, I will have to pay for any additional labor for the issue they caused.

Other places were only willing to quote me on cost to run tests or they did not do work on my make model. Very satisfied I decided to go with CB to have my A/C compressor replaced. 1 day turnaround. Extremely friendly and very smooth process. Great communication over phone and via text with photos, videos and clear work order you can approve or decline suggested items. I also like that they are closed on weekends so it means they care about their employees and respect peoples time. Open from 7-6 so manageable for most to be able to drop off and pick up m-f. Shuttle service offered. I didnt need but nice to know. Would go back. Ps service is guaranteed.

Take 5 doesn't just offer terrible service -- they actively destroy vehicles and then duck all…read moreresponsibility. My experience was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The so-called "technicians" at Take 5 clearly have no training, no attention to detail, and no accountability. After a routine oil change, my engine catastrophically failed -- seized, dead, gone -- because they either added the wrong amount of oil or none at all. When I brought this up, their response was textbook corporate gaslighting: deny, deflect, and delay. They refuse to own up to their negligence even when presented with professional evidence of their mistake. On top of that, the customer service is an absolute joke. The staff is rude, dismissive, and clearly trained to stall and mislead rather than help. I called their "corporate support" and got nothing but runarounds and excuses. And forget about their so-called "warranty" -- it's not worth the paper it's printed on. They'll find any excuse to reject a claim, even when it's clearly their fault. Let's be clear: Take 5 is not just incompetent -- they are a liability. Letting them near your vehicle is like handing your keys to a wrecking crew. There's a reason they have hundreds of BBB complaints and a reputation for ducking accountability. Do yourself -- and your vehicle -- a favor: stay far, far away. Go to a real mechanic who knows what they're doing. Take 5 will cost you more in repairs, time, and frustration than any "quick" oil change is worth.

Now we have to bring it to a dealership to get checked out. Update to review, we had to bring the car to a dealership to get checked out and they confirmed that there was 11 quarts of oil in the car that caused the leak and smoke. the pressure from this extra oil also caused the oil pan gasket to leak and the crankshaft to leak, the repairs will be $4,000 to fix, all because the car was overfilled by nearly twice the recommended oil amount

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance at this Big O Tires location to have the serpentine…read morebelt replaced on my van and dropped it off early Saturday morning so they would have the entire day to complete the job. This was especially frustrating because I'm not a new customer. This same shop has worked on this van multiple times before -- oil changes, two air-conditioning repairs, and they previously replaced the power steering pump -- so my vehicle and contact information should already be in their system. I waited the entire day without hearing anything. About an hour before closing I finally called them myself to ask about the status. That's when I was told they couldn't do the repair because it "required a special tool" and that I would need to take the vehicle somewhere else. They also claimed they had tried to call me earlier but had written down the wrong phone number. Given that I'm already a repeat customer in their system, that explanation didn't make much sense. It was also confusing since this same shop previously replaced the power steering pump on the van, which involves the same serpentine belt system. Because the van had been dropped off for the day, I had already paid for an Uber ride home and then had to pay for another Uber to return to pick it up. When I arrived, someone I had never seen before came out into the parking lot and handed me the keys without even allowing me to come inside to discuss the situation. In the end, nothing was repaired, I lost an entire day waiting, and I still have to find another shop to complete the work. Very disappointing experience.

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.
