Edit: It's been over a week and my car is running just fine. No battery issues whatsoever. Went in for a simple oil change and immediately got hit with a list of upsell services, one being a battery cleaning. I declined everything, but then was told they'd clean the battery for free. I agreed, and afterward, my car wouldn't start. They had to jump it, then suddenly told me I had a "bad battery." Funny, because my battery was working perfectly fine before I came in and before they touched it. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the way the manager (I think) handled it. He came out, tried to mansplain the situation, and then when I declined their overpriced battery quotes, he turned around and sarcastically said, "Battery's fine guys," like a teenager throwing a fit. Super unprofessional and shady. I went in for an oil change, not to end up with car trouble that wasn't there before. Won't be back. read more

Went in for an oil change left the location with my car dragging It's skid plate. The workers completely forgot to to screw them back in. I returned to the location where they then held the skid plate up with zip ties. Do not waste your time nor money here. I went in this morning for a simple top off of my coolant. I specifically spoke the words, "I think my coolant is low" when they whisked away my car and 5 minutes later a manager (possibly Fernando?) came into the waiting room and tried to upsell me on oil changes, tire rotations etc. After declining this he quickly mentioned it will be a radiator flush for $200. I quickly said yes without thinking, being a young woman in college I admit this was my mistake which I later recounted multiple times. I then, after thinking for less than 2 minutes, went outside to have another conversation with the manager where I questioned why I needed a $200 radiator flush to top off my coolant levels. He then became extremely aggressive where he explained they were already doing it, I expressed that I wasn't refusing to pay and admitted I did agree to it but I was confused why it was necessary. He then said that "I am not a babysitter" and more extremely rude comments and that I had asked for a radiator flush. I had never even heard those two words used together before, so I absolutely did not. I went back into the waiting room. 20 minutes later, the mechanic (Christopher? who was always very nice) told me the service was over and I went to the pay counter. The first thing out of the managers mouth was that he added a note to my file that he needs to speak to my parents before any decisions on service are made, completely unprompted. We then argue for 5 minutes where I never even hinted at not paying for the service, just that I was extremely offended by his comments and the lack of communication. He then completely lied and said there was no way to even check the coolant levels without flushing (it's a clear bottle? look through it). I then asked for my military discount to be applied for 25% off as per the website for this location and he only applied 15% off which is the company wide policy. Extremely upset and disappointed in my service this morning. I don't know where the miscommunication came from where I came in asking for a radiator flush, and I am not accusing anyone of any misdoing however I think when confronted, the manager becomes extremely aggressive and hostile and makes extremely rude and patronizing comments. Will be telling all of my family and their friends on base to not come here anymore. read more

It's a Jiffy Lube. I've heard that in Swahili, "Jiffy" means "Upsell". When I was here a year ago, I replaced the wipers and air filters both right before bringing it in. Lo and behold, I was told I needed new wipers. I was also told the air filters "looked ok" and was shown the new air filter, politely declining to have both replaced. Do yourself a favor, there's an O'Reilly right by this location and they'll replace your wipers for free and save you twenty or thirty bucks. Tip #2, never come here without a coupon. They always have them floating around. This particular location has friendly staff, no watercolor, and they're a bit slower than other locations. read more

Went in for my inspection, and they asked me to wait in the lobby. I found that odd... I've never had to get out of my car for any inspections. I come back to my car, and find my glove compartment items had been dumped onto the floor, and everything was rifled through; including my console. I called corporate, the location owner, and even the location. Nobody ever reached out again, and I never got anything that was taken back (was just some car junk, but still, they STOLE IT)! I reluctantly went to this location on 6/2/2024 to get my car inspected. I man approached my car and asked what I needed, and I told him I needed an inspection. After a 15 min wait, another man came to the car and said they aren't doing car inspections and told me how to exit. I had to call another location to get the inspection done. When I explained to the manager of the second location, he was perplexed and confused as to why the Austin Hwy location would not do an inspection. This place had only one employee working and I had to come back after waiting. But the biggest complaint by far is the rip-off pricing scheme. Not telling me up front that an oil price was going to cost me $94.00. Without checking any filters or the tires or the lights; just to change the oil. But it gets worst ...when I complain about the price and not telling me upfront as to the price they tell me they are going to get me $10 off and when the attendant returned I told her that they should have told me the prices before they started and the attendant said she would knock off another $10. That "price-reduction should have come just because of them Being under-staffed and causing additional wait time. I came here to get a vehicle inspection and an oil change. I needed a tail light assembly replaced before my car would pass, so I asked if they could install it for me while they performed the oil change. The manager Chris quickly obliged, even though I had been to a couple other places that told me they couldn't replace the part for me. They had trouble fitting the light in correctly due to damage to my bumper, but Chris worked diligently to make the light fit without causing any other damage to my vehicle. You can tell he takes pride in his work and strives for the best possible customer service. I really feel he went above and beyond. The other employees were friendly and helpful as well. They performed all the services I requested in a reasonable amount of time (and no they didn't suggest parts or services that were unnecessary just because I'm a female.) All in all, I was very pleased with my experience, and I will definitely be back. read more

I went in for an oil change and an inspection. Typically when I go they always try to sell me on the high priced oil, but I turn it down since my boyfriend does my oil regularly; I didn't see a point in paying so much this time when I can have him do it with the high quality oil later on. When I told the first man no, he said ok and went to the back. A few minutes later another man calls me to the area with the cars and proceeds to try and sell me on the higher priced oil. I kept saying I didn't want it and was fine with the regular oil, but he wouldn't take no for an answer, he proceeded to call over other employees to try and sell me on why I needed to purchase the higher priced oil. I felt very uncomfortable and finally just said fine to the higher priced oil because it was obvious no matter how many times I said no, they wouldn't take that as an answer. Once I finally said yes they allowed me to sit back down inside the waiting room. I don't like going to places like these alone *especially as a woman* because they always try to sell me on things I don't need. The whole thing made me feel very uncomfortable and felt my original answer should've been enough for them to back off, but instead they cornered me until I gave in. This caused me to have so much anxiety and brake down in my car afterwards and it ultimately costed me over $120 for a corollas oil change. read more

I've had my Honda Civic for 6 years/83,000 miles and had no issues with the skid plate. Today I got my oil changed at this station. Six minutes after leaving the station the skid plate on the bottom of the car fell off and started dragging. I took it back in and the tech's response was there was only one bolt holding the skid plate on, and the other two weren't there when I brought it in. I'm no genius, but it would appear to me this tech just screwed up putting the bolts back in and they fell out. Now I get to order more online and hope that the skid plate doesn't fall off before they come in. If I were you I would just go to another place that's not going to make more work for you. read more

It's sad that it is 20freakin16 and a woman STILL cannot trust taking their car to be looked at without the fear of being taken advantage of. This place is just that. Went in for an oil change and was told I needed a replacement engine air filter and an alignment. I kindly declined the services and paid for the oil change. Low and behold the next day, guess what... my engine and maintenance light came on-which have NEVER come on before. I took my car to autozone (already feeling suspicious of this "coincidence") only to find the cover for the air filter was merely set back in place thus allowing extra air to flow into the space and causing a false reading. Further more my wheel suddenly started veering right when it never has before. What a joke. I guess sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I will never buy another Groupon for an oil change and I will most definitely NEVER go to or recommend jiffy lube to anyone!! I usually change my own oil or my mechanic does, so I'm always weary of chain oil service centers. I asked for a certain oil but they only had it in a 5w-40 and not a 15w-40. Gave this place one more chance. Needed too get a state inspection and they rejected me due too abs light being on. I told him that light has been on since 2017 and I have passed every inspection since then. He stated that it's 4 months jail time if they pass it and that there is no charge for the rejection if I just want too leave. Great service! I originally went in for a state inspection. I had a headlight out which they replaced for a very reasonable price. I felt very comfortable with the employees, and they explained everything in terms I could understand. I had an issue with my battery that they pointed out to me, saying that it needed replacing but that since it was so new, I needed to go back to the person who installed it and demand that they replace it for free. I really appreciated them not trying to sell me something I didn't need, and advising me honestly on what my options were. So many places try to sell women things they don't need, this was an extremely refreshing experience. I also recently got my oil changed here, they got me in and out in 20 minutes despite there being a decent sized line when I got there. The whole shop ran very efficiently from what I could see. Additionally, the waiting area is always clean. In summary: An honest business with polite and helpful employees. If you have a daughter going to college in SA, this is the shop you want her to use! read more

Took my mother's car in for an inspection sticker and was told all was fine except for the windshield wipers...I was told it would cost me $25 for the wipers if I bought them from Jiffy Lube, or I could go to Wal-Mart which had them for roughly $10. But either way I would have to pay the $7 for the inspection even though it failed, then pay again when I got back. I was then offered a $10 discount if I got the wipers right then and there...likewise not having to pay another $7 for the inspection. I figured this was a good deal. After the fact...once the paperwork was done and wipers were on the car...I came to find out it was $25 for EACH wiper...plus tax. It was a scam all the way in how they gave me the false assumption they sold the wipers in pairs. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM...in researching this...I found out very few people go to Jiffy Lube for an inspection and leave not needing wipers, signal-lights, brake-lights, etc... Which all are more than "overly priced"!! Me, my family, and all I speak with... will never go to a Jiffy Lube again. read more
