Eliseo's Garage has been been in heart of the Westside since 1938. Eliseo's Garage is reliable, consistent and definitely dependable! Bill and his team of Mechanics are amazing and will go above and beyond to help you with your automotive needs! Ask for Bill :)

Inside of the garage ...waiting for my inspection to be done on my baby Tacoma

Cash is cool ... But he also take credit cards !! Got my state inspection done. It was that time again and i took my mom for breakfast and saw this garage that does state inspections. There was no line and no waiting. I was in and out in no time. I did have to get new windshield wipers which they did have in stock for my Toyota Tacoma. If I'm in the area next year i will have them do my inspections.

Vehicle was stored inside over the weekend while waiting for repairs

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I came in on a weekend, so all three lines were full. However, the line moved at a reasonable pace and I wasn't waiting for too long. I was helped by Eddie, whom was very friendly and swift to write down my vehicles mileage and scan the door jamb sticker. I also specifically requested 5w-30 and Eddie made sure that I got what I requested. The service techs were also exceptional, they are great at communicating with each other and I was also shown the oil level on my dipstick before they were done with the oil change. Recently I took my vehicle in to get my ac serviced. Again, I was very swiftly helped, this time by a gentleman named Vic. I had a nice chat with him and since we both own Mitsubishis, he was very familiar with my car and it's needs. This location has great management, both times I've gone I've had great experiences. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return!

Let me start by saying thanks for the chuckle. I am a teacher and public servant and yesterday I put in a 12 hour work day where I rarely sat in one location and was constantly mobile. My rest is valuable. Upon reflection, NO I won't be by Tuesday which is your earliest convenience so you can scan my car for more issues that your team has caused. I will go to my trusted mechanic and never use Valvoline again. In fact I have already begun warning my friends of your incompetent and rude services. I thought the manager was professional but his cute giggle after my call explaining I could not make it this morning and would be in this afternoon sealed the deal. Arrogance, rude, ridiculous arrogance. I have used this location for upward of 20 years not consistently but whenever I am in the neighborhood and need an oil change. The new guard is young, and barely speak. Bark orders at you from the moment you roll in, and then do the classic up-sell. They up-sold me an air filter on April 17th and I bit. The next day my car was jerking (old manager boy let me know that there is a difference between jerking and shaking as if that were super critical to me and my situation.) I am a teacher and have few days off of luxury. I took a day to run errands and returned to Valvoline to let them know that something was wrong. Alas they showed my the air filter box they had broken. They scrambled and scratched heads, called manager. I sat at their place for more than two hours of my day. They finally told me they would do a temporary fix for my car and the part would be in four days later. The fix. The fix was in a Home Depot bag on my engine. Tape. They taped my damaged air box together. It jerked and shook more as per my laments understanding of my car. I felt concerned this could further damage my engine. I contacted corporate and have yet to hear from them either. Taped my air filter box. Tape. I could have had my early elementary school children do the temporary fix. I got the call for the part in two days. Maybe corporate called them to repair this. Who knows? I've communicated with 0 professionals. They replaced the filter with a new one (they showed me the box.) I drove away and low and behold, when it idles it JERKS. I came back. A young mechanic tells me that's what happens when a vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it. What a laugh. My vehicle has about 67,000 miles on it and was fine before any Valvoline folks laid their hands on it. Old manager comes on out and drives it. That's when my wording was corrected. Sir, my wording doesn't matter. Fix what you broke. Yep, it's jerking. He pokes around, I stand around, he unscrews, etc, etc, etc. Says he needs a scanner to check. Tells me to come in tomorrow. I am a teacher. I have 0 tomorrows. Tells me to come in 7-8am Saturday. I worked over a twelve hour shift yesterday. I need my car, I need it to work well, and you need to meet my timeline because my car had 0 issues until your service center. ZERO. I call to come in this afternoon. He won't be there. As a manager you should probably be there to fix what your team broke, to make right, to rectify. These mechanics and this manager seem to give no cares about the consumer. The Valvoline office is obviously the same. I am very curious to see what my solid and steadfast mechanic will tell me you all did to my car. Not you, not Tuesday and not ever. I will use my mechanic for my oil changes. Not this crew. If you like to gamble on the health of your vehicle, go to them for a quick change. Otherwise use someone with integrity.

Since this is on the Westside of town yes the staff mainly speaks Spanish but of course they understand. The attendant took off the tire and told me that the tire was no good because it had a patch near the inner edge. At this point I asked change it since I bought it here and you sold me a tire that was no good you should be able to change it. He called the manager and he told me that he couldn't change it because used tires don't have a warranty. I told him I understood however since they sold me a tire that was not good it should be changed. He tried to place the place on driving the tire while it was flat however the main issue is that they sold me a bad tire. We went back and forth until he finally agreed to swap out the tire with the condition that I never come back because I was hurting his business. They tried to place a really worned out tire and I complained again and they swapped it out for a better tire. If your going to shop this place I would suggest being really careful because based on the conversations I had today they didn't sound to ethical. I will never return to this place again, first because I was banned second even if I wasn't I wouldn't return based on the and lack of accountability

5 stars all the way. Gil's Auto Works was recommended to me…read moreby a friend. I never had any auto paint done since owning my car, and my parents had paint jobs done decades ago by businesses that have since closed down. So naturally I was cautious on which paint and body shop I wanted to have my car serviced at. Enter Gil's Auto Works. They have 5 star reviews plastered on Google and here on Yelp. Looking at the reviews and photos here on Yelp, I was impressed by the work presented. I went in one day, no call in, just brought the car over and walked in to ask for a quote/estimate. Immediately I was helped by an associate (Robert Gil's brother) who went outside to look at my car. He quickly took a picture of the peeling paint, and the door jamb sticker in order to match the paint. He quoted me $300 to get the hood done. All under 5 minutes. Mr Robert Gil and I negotiated the price down to $250, and after getting quoted $600 at another paint and body shop, I took the car in about a week later. Mr. Robert Gil informed me that the car would be done in two to three days. Three days later I get a text that my car was ready to get picked up. I arrived after hours (the business was closed, but Mr. Robert Gil made sure I was able to pick up my car) and was greeted by another associate with my car ready at the front of the business. After handling the payment, the car was ready to come back home. When I saw the car, it looked brand new. Who would've thought that something as simple as fixing some peeling hood paint could make a 2008 car look like it just drove out of the dealership. The work on the car was phenomenal and the car looked much more sleek. I applaud Gil's Auto Works, not only for their craftsmanship, but for their unbeatable price and smooth customer experience. I would totally recommend Gil's, and for it being my first paint and body shop experience; man it was worth it.
