We had to wait about 30-45 minutes, but there were several people ahead of us. We had a $25 coupon for oil change, so the value was great! DO NOT come here to get your state inspection done!!! This place will scam you!!! They will have you wait on the side of the building in the hot sun. They will leave you there for at least 15 minutes before an employee (Juan Salazar in my case) comes out and asked to see insurance. At this time a second employee, asks to pop the hood. This is very unusual for an inspection so I knew something was wrong. Juan then told me that my brake pads were very low, almost "metal on metal" he stated. He then told me I would not be passing the inspection due to my brake pads. He said they could replace my brake pads for me and pass me. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to stand next to a car and tell me all my break pads are worn down. No tires were removed to check and he did not walk around the car to make this recommendation. They did not check my lights, horn, or any other part of the car. This place is a scam and will take your money for sure. Do NOT go here!!! read more

If I could rate this location a zero, I would. The mechanics are teenagers with no accountability. First of all, they tried to charge $192 for an oil change. Secondly, after the service, the car was making weird noises that it never made previously, such as a loud muffler and squeaking going over bumpy surfaces. It turns out, the maintenance technician failed to use the factory fasteners and instead decided to use ZIP TIES. This is a no go for me. This is one reason I normally use the dealership, because you figure at least they know the car, and will do a better job. Today we spent $50 getting the fasters from the dealer and having a local trustworthy mechanic put them on. Last time I went to Jiffy Lube, a car engine almost burned up because the technician failed to put on the oil pan drain cap. I vowed never again, but since it's been years, I figured I'd give it a try and it would be cheaper than the dealer. Wrong, they were almost twice as much. Epic fail, never again. If I were yall I would stay away from this scam. It's really bad when you have to double check the "service" to see if they actually do anything. They don't. They handed me an invoice with actions checked of....for example windshield wiper fluid topped off....coolent fluid levels topped off....tire pressure checked.....none of these tasks were actually performed as stated on paperwork. Very disappointed in trying to get a vehicle inspection at this location. The guy that does the inspection is very rude and not very people friendly. He needs to learn some manners if he doing to be working with the public. I tried to get an inspection for over 5 days. I keep calling and all I get is the vehicle inspector is not in right now try in two hours. The vesical inspector is MIA is what I was told. I kept coming back. Finally he's in and he said you can't pass inspection with a cracked windshield. I don't believe that to be true. It's been repaired and it does not interfere with the wipers or visibility. The guy said that can decide to pass or not. He doesn't have to follow any Texas rules.okay well I guess he make all the rules. On April 1, 2024 at about 2:00 pm I decided to get my truck inspected. Jiffy Lube Store Manager Justin Lawrence scanned my truck to get all the information he needed (fleet truck), while a technician (Felix Ruiz) was looking over the truck (Felix did a good job and was one of the tech being very professional). The manager came to me and said that I was going to get an oil change. I was trying to tell him that my truck just got an oil change 2 weeks ago. I couldn't get a hold of him as he walked away so I talked to the assistant manager Bobby Munoz. I showed him that my oil change was not due until 39001 Miles, that is 3,230 miles before it was supposed to be changed. So at that point the oil pan was already drained and so there was no other choice but to continue with the oil change. Mr. Bobby Munoz came to me and told me he had to change the brakes. I explained that I didn't have the time for the oil change due to an important appointment so I definitely wouldn't have any time to change my brakes. He kept insisting that he had to but I explained that I didn't have the time for that and he said OK and walked away. I waited for about another 30 mins and at this point I have been there for an hour and a half. My inspections took 30 mins from when I pulled up to when they gave me my state inspection. Jiffy Lube wasted 2 hours of my time. So when I look again at what is being done to the truck it looks like techs where having issues with getting something out. I then saw them remove the fuse box from my truck and shortly after my truck battery was removed. I go outside and make everyone stop what they are doing and explain to me what they are doing. Bobby Munoz seemed to be the one in charge because everyone looked at him. Mr. Bobby kept throwing Justin under the bus stating that he was told by the store manager that he approved everything. I am very upset at this point because Justin is at lunch and Bobby apparently doesn't know what is going on or is just a bit clueless. Other techs get involved because my voice has gotten a little louder and I am being very direct to everyone talking to me and I explained to everyone that I told Bobby Munoz (Assistant Manager) that I didn't have time for any of this. They installed the battery, then installed the old battery, and to be honest I think they were going to install the new battery a second time. ( They should have just left the new one in there, "Fleet Truck right") Customers had a line backed up and I even saw some reverse and leave due to how long things were taking. After my conversation with Justin Lawrence (Store Manager) and Bobby Munoz( Assistant Manager) I can tell that Jiffy Lube / SHELL do not educate their management team or even hold them accountable because as I was having my rant and educating Jiffy Lube / SHELL employees, other customers explained to me that they too have experienced this. I thought that it was due to me having a fleet vehicle that the manager felt would be a good idea to make money and to just take care of everything it needs without getting a driver of the truck a time frame. Like if I was scheduled to be at jiffy lube all damn day. I understand since the corporations are taking on the bill, not the tech (They should still really inform the driver of what they will be performing and how long that is going to take). But to do this to an everyday regular customer, I was in shock. This lady was an older lady and if Jiffy Lube / SHELL is doing this to their elderly customers and not just the fleet trucks then this needs to be brought up and advertised to everyone. Due to the practices they have with Fleet trucks clients and their neighborhood clients, my company will no longer be taking our work trucks there. The other techs on site did a great job at de-escalating the situation and providing whatever information I needed to get some answers. Bobby Munoz (Assistant Manager) does need tons of retraining in his role as Assistant Manager. He also needs to take responsibility for his actions or his inaction when an escalation arises due to his inability to communicate, but he remained professional during the escalation. Justin Lawrence (Store Manager) remained professional and sympathetic during the encounter once he arrived from his break, but I would like to state that he was the driver behind this whole escalation as well as his assistant manager given that I was talking to both of them directly and not explained anything to me and just takes off on this break. From some of the talks some of the techs where having this is not the 1st time both these "Managers" have had issues in this area of the job. I don't know if I heard correctly but I understood that they have both been fired and rehired before... This is something to review because I don't think that they have learned anything. read more

Yikes. Talk about weaponizing incompetence. These "workers" are intentionally slow to ward away customers and the possibility of them doing work. Spent over an hour just WAITING for a car inspection when there was only one other car in the bay with all three bays open and 3+ workers available. And every time you ask for an update of how much longer they hit you with "like ten more minutes". Just be real, tell the customers they're gonna wait an hour or make up whatever non existent timeline you want. We happily would have left and saved us all the trouble. If you don't want to work it's really no trouble for us to go elsewhere but you don't need to make others miserable because you're lazy and hate your job. read more

The inspector, Justin, for the state vehicle inspection at this location is a joke. He never drove my car yet claimed, by using a tiny mirror to look behind my tires, that my BACK brakes were metal to metal and needed to be replaced and he'd have to fail me. I was flabbergasted by this claim given just a bit over a month ago I got an oil change at the dealership and the tech, AT THE DEALERSHIP, sent me a video indicating my rear brakes are at 8mm. I told him of this and told him he's wrong and he said he'd take another look. He then came back with the same assessment; when I insisted he's wrong, he added "or it's the rotors". I had already pulled up the video and literally showed him the video of the tech CLEARLY stating my tire tread depth then the condition of my BACK brake pads being at 8mm. He heard the tech say my FRONT brakes are at 4mm & they recommend replacement @3mm. Only then did this sorry excuse of an "inspector" say then the front needed to be replaced and asked how many miles have I driven since last month when the LEXUS technician looked over my LEXUS. Like seriously?!? What an idiot who thinks he knows better than ACTUAL technicians who were UNDER MY CAR and gave it a thorough review with more than just a tiny mirror. This was an obvious attempt to fail me, and NOT ONCE having driven or looked under my car. And thinking back, there was an older gentleman who was there for the same thing and after some discussion with the pathetic excuse of a jiffy lube tech, he ended up peeling out when leaving. I can safely assume he was failed also. I literally drove around the corner for a second opinion. They actually DROVE my car and had looked at the brakes and PASSED ME saying they have no idea what the idiot at JL is saying bc there's no issue or noise. And indicated they know JL techs just try to upsell. The one star is due to the fact that corporate did have them return my $7. Don't go here, especially if needing a state inspection. I live near by and thought I would try to support local businesses but boy was I wrong! Even after reading some of the bad reviews, I still thought I am blessed and will support a local shop! Never again! They rotated by tires and they have not been the same sense then! When I noticed that the tire pressure lights where on and indicated that the tire pressures were off, the attendant said, "oh the sensors will reset after you drive it and we always check the tire pressure." BULLSHIT!!! I saw them rotate the tires and they did not check the tire pressure! I went home an air them myself! They went through the inspection points and offered to replace my air filter, when I said ok and waited another few minutes they come back and tell me they do not have it! Duh, why not check first before your offer and "ring it up"! I will not be back and the owner needs to send a "mystery shopper" to see what really goes on! read more

I went early this morning, arriving around 7:50 right after dropping the kids off at school. I waited in my car until I saw someone unlocking the doors in the back. I got out and two men were there who assisted me. They answered my questions, and led me to the waiting room, holding doors open for me and all. I got an oil change, air filter and cabin air filter replacement. I was told of a couple of other things I needed by a third man, but I was not pressured to buy right then like most mechanics do. I'm on a budget lol. Anyway, all of this took less than 30 minutes. They talked to me with updates the whole time and were all very professional. The waiting room was nice and clean and the checkout process was very quick. The three names on my receipt were Arnulfo, Derek, and Felix. So, thanks guys! He was rude when doing the car inspection and when I asked for my key, he refused and would not give it back to me. They don't want to do inspections. They will purposely delay the process to discourage doing them. It's averaging over 25 minutes per vehicle for something that should take less than 5. I see them suggesting things are wrong with the vehicle so I'll-informed people will pay to fix unnecessary things. Too bad they don't realize that when you treat your customers poorly for the minor things they certainly won't consider you for bigger repairs. This is obviously a management issue. Monday (4-9-2018): While visiting our son in San Antonio, he said the by-pass needed to be replaced. He took it to Jiffy Lube, dropped it off and we went to have breakfast. While having breakfast he received a call and told that the radiator needed to be replaced. He was charged $526 to replace the radiator ($105 at Pep Boys), coolant (we were over charged $30 according to the invoice) and the rest was for labor. When we got back to his apartment the vehicle was still leaking from the same bypass hose. Tuesday (4-10-2018) : Our son returned the vehicle to Jiffy Lube but was told they couldn't look that day. We left the vehicle there over night so they could look at first thing in the morning. Wednesday (4-10-2018) : My wife and arrived to wait for the replacement of the bypass hose. I was charged $216 to replace a perfectly good thermostat not the hose. ( If I wanted the hose replaced it would an additional $400.) We finally left Jiffy Lube at approx. 1: 20 pm. When we arrived at my son's apartment, the leak was worse than when they started their work on Monday. WHEN MY CALLED AND ASKED FOR AN EXPLANATION, THE MANAGER HUNG UP ON HER.! Thursday (4-12-2018): My wife and I took the vehicle to a local shop (Rodriguez Radiator Shop). The bypass hose was replaced in a short while and we have not had a drop of coolant spill anywhere. Upon my return home, a complaint will be filed with the San Antonio Better Business Bureau. My son paid $742 and the coolant leak was worse than when he first took it to Jiffy Lube on San Pedro. Will definitely never return to this place or recommend it to anyone. Hopefully the Better Business Bureau can prevent other people from having a bad experience. read more

I've been here twice unfortunately and both times the service is so slow, none of the employees are in any sort of hurry everyone is always standing around. Today we waited 15 minutes just for someone to come over to the vehicle and when he did he came from the pawn shop next door so no telling what is going on. Even something as simple an inspection will have you here 30+ minutes and then it takes even more time to pay because like I said no one is in a hurry. Came in 01/18/19 around 330pm and got high milage and air filter. Went on my business and around 920pm when getting ready to head to work for over night noticed a big oil leak on the driveway. When got to work could see leak continuing. I had to get family to bring me oil as I would have need to place some before heading home. Sure enough got home used the houses jack and lifted vehicle and could see the leak coming from the drain plug. Started to turn it to close it up and it kept turning with no sign of tightness. Believe the drain plug to be stripped or such. Today 01/19/19 called around 1030am when I got up and talked to manager on duty, he asked to bring it in and they would see what happen and see what they can do. After a few minutes, an employee called me out to the bay, and told me that he couldn't pass my car because the "front brake pads were too worn," although he quickly offered to replace them (of course!). I declined and took the car to my local mechanic, whom I do trust. After inspection, he informed me that there was plenty of brake pad left (at least 40%) and no work needed to be done; that's why I use this mechanic. I am very upset with my recent visit. I needed an inspection for my truck and they said they'd get me in and out of there in 25 minutes. One of the mechanics came and told me "sorry but your truck failed because your emergency brakes don't work." He proceeded to demonstrate how my truck moved when he applied the gas when the brakes were on. He then offered to fix the problem for $159 but I had to give him an answer quick because he was almost off and would fix them for me in an hour. Needless to say I called my husband and asked his opinion. Thankfully he said no because I was probably being scammed. The very next day I got my inspection just down the street. Hallelujah I found it! My days are usually jampacked so my time is very valuable to me as I'm sure it is for everyone else. So when I came to this location and they literally got me out in 15 minutes after telling me that they would get me out in 15 minutes, I was so grateful that they could back up their Words with their actions. I received a standard oil change. Arrived at 8:45 AM. RANT: This Jiffy Lube is the absolute worst place ever!! I have tried to give them a chance several times, and it has always been the worst service EVER!! So today, I thought an easy inspection couldn't possibly take that long, and I was way wrong! Whoever was running that shitshow today was a complete asshole! First off, with Covid everywhere, I didn't really want him in my car, but whatever. He literally just drove around the lot, and then proceeded to pull the car up and pop the hood. Who checks under the hood for an inspection? This moron! Then he proceeded to go stand by the wall, take his mask off, and eat his lunch. When he was done with that, he said I needed new windshield wipers. They were fine! I then was so pissed that I asked for my insurance card back, and was taking my business elsewhere. He failed me, but one back on you, buddy, cause went to another business... NOT JIFFY LUBE, and they passed it immediately. Already have my new registration sticker while you're still at work waiting for 5 o'clock to hit your timecard! I spoke with management and was amazed at the PROMPT response I received. I realize now the price I received was due to misinformation on both, my part and the technician. Never get your brakes done here ever! I had to get my breaks done to pass an inspection (which I now realized my brakes still had plenty of life on them). After getting all my pads and 2 rotors replaced upon leaving the shop there was a rattling noise coming from the trunk! I went to a real mechanic to get it looked at and there was a hole in my exhaust!! Thank you Jiffylube! He also told me that they did a piss poor job on the brakes and were NEVER suppose to grind down my other rotors. The parts that they used were the cheapest money could buy and won't last. $600 later and I have a brake job that I'll need re-done by a real mechanic!!! I will never go to Jiffy lube again and be very skeptical when they say you need work done to pass an inspection! Go somewhere else!!! read more
