The employees were polite and helpful although they did try to upsell services as many places do. I don't recall them asking what type of oil I wanted, although they did at the Valvoline my relative uses. Also, since they didn't have access to the interior of my car, they couldn't remove the "oil change required" notice on the dashboard (as the dealer does) but that was a very minor inconvenience.

But the biggest thing was I got all sorts of answers as to the type of oil they will use. My car takes a specific type of oil and I was told they were out of it. But another shop 10 miles away had that oil. They said they don't really carry that oil anymore(it's for an older car) And offered to put in a different oil that could work but was not the one specified for my car. SO now I'm really wondering what oil they were putting in on the previous oil changes I had done there. Just really disappointing and can't trust them.

Very disappointing experience with my Tesla Model Y. I specifically brought the vehicle in for a…read morecontrol arm noise coming from the driver side and clearly explained that upon arrival. The shop diagnosed and recommended replacement of both the driver and passenger lower control arms. I ultimately approved repair of only the side making noise for approximately $697 (versus the $1,394 they recommended for both sides). What bothered me most was that after the repair was completed, the technician test drove the vehicle, yet nobody informed me before making payment that the exact same noise was still present. I personally discovered it myself within less than 10 feet of driving out of the shop and immediately returned. The lack of communication regarding the unresolved issue felt very misleading and frustrating. Instead of taking ownership of the failed diagnosis or communication issue, the owner Elvis became defensive and stated the reason the noise remained was because I was "too cheap" to do all the work (both side, $1,397). He also suggested I should have replaced the upper control arm as well, despite the fact that they never diagnosed or recommended prior to the repair. I ultimately took the vehicle to the Tesla dealership, where the upper control arm issue was addressed at a significantly lower cost. While the lower control arms may have shown signs of wear, replacing worn parts that are not actually causing the customer's complaint makes little sense from a diagnostic standpoint. Based on my experience, the process felt more like guesswork than properly isolating the actual issue. Customer service was ultimately arrogant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious bringing a Tesla here.

Unable to resolve it at an independent shop despite…read morean obvious problem with the master cylinder (Brake pedal went to floor occasionally, bleeding did not help) So I suggested Midas because of the good reviews and the assumption that they would do a professional job, if for no other reason than liability. I called for a quote but was told they did not quote over the phone. I told my dad based on on line quotes ( I am out of of state) that a good price for the M/C was about 300 bucks, knowing that Midas would tack on a little more. I was shocked at the final bill! The part on the work order was a NAPA part number, NAPA store 3 miles away. They charged 700 for a 404 dollar part (Retail) I called the store to check and they confirmed the PN and price, they also indicated this was retail, and whole sale prices would be about 10% less. Thats a markup of 75% to 90%! Totally unacceptable in these days of e-comerce and free shipping. Even if it took an hour to send a mechanic at $180 an hour to pick up the part, this markup is insane! I called midas and asked them to review this charge, but they declined to make any adjustment, as well as declined to give him a senior discount. Obviously, he does not look under 55! Stay away from this place!

Showed up without an appointment (I was driving by and pulled in) and Mike was able to squeeze me in within the hour. Fixed the splash shield, which did not need to be replaced. Just five clips to re-attach it. For that, I was only charged twenty bucks! Incredible. Mike greeted and treated other customers coming in with respect. Honest. Friendly. More than fair on price (hourly labor way less than other shops). I'll be taking my car here in the future. Wish I had gone there before! Highly recommended.

We live nearby and have been using Firestone Tire in Hinsdale for all of our tire needs for 20…read moreyears. Out of town guests had a flat tire on Monday (day after Easter) and told them to go to Firestone Hinsdale when they told us other places quoted them 3-4 days to fix. Firestone Hinsdale said they could have the tire fixed by the following day/Tuesday if we paid an extra fee to have the rim personally delivered to Firestone, which we did. Tuesday rolls around and we were told the tire and rim would now not be ready until Wednesday but assured us Wednesday morning it would be ready. At 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, we had hear nothing so called and were told the rim was "10 minutes away and the tire would be ready within an hour after the rim arrived". TWO HOURS later we still had not received a call that the tire was ready. So we called and were told the rim took longer than expedited to arrive and they have no control over what information they were given so that was their third party contractors fault. He then went on to say they were very busy now, there were several customers ahead of us but they could make sure the tire would be ready some time today. When he was kindly (I was in no way being rude) reminded of the numerous different time frames we were given, he became quite irritated with me, and at no time was an apology ever given regarding the delays but quite the opposite. Excuse after excuse was given that he cannot be responsible for problems caused by their third party contractors (but yet never called us to let us know the part was delayed despite the additional fees we paid to expedite it), that we are not his only customers, and they "cannot just stop work on the other customers who have appointments" in order to fix the tire. I explained we were not expecting special treatment and that our appointment was actually two days prior. We were expecting the work to be done when originally quoted and even then when an additional day was added on we were not upset at all. We are reasonable people. But by day three and timelines quoted continued to repeatedly not be met, no communication from Firestone unless we called them, no apologies for the repeated missed timelines, and then acting as if we were in the wrong for expecting communication and transparency of timelines, is when I decided our business clearly will be much more appreciated elsewhere from now on.

First time in decades that I've used a quick oil change place instead of a dealership for car…read moremaintenance. I'm glad I did. The staff was very personal and professional. They were quick but not rushed! (Not in that big of a hurry!) They DID NOT try to upsell me on anything. But did make me aware of scheduled maintenance suggestions for my vehicle- with a printed out copy. The price for full synthetic oil wasn't that much cheaper than the dealership- but I didn't have to burn a few hours! They also have full service mechanics onsite in an adjacent building (didn't use- but good to know) I'll be back in a few thousand miles.
