4 people working and we were the only car there. Took 45 minutes and didn't bother to check the tires or air filter. Didn't even swap out the Jiffy Lube mileage sticker. Staff vaping the whole time he was working on the car, and two employees talking trash about the manager/owner. When the work was done they just left us sitting in the car for 15 minutes before the technician in the bay below the car finally came up and asked why we were still there - because we were still waiting to pay. read more

Got my oil changed here recently and they were very quick and kind about explaining which type of oil service is best and the differences. I bought aftermarket tires so my tire pressure monitor light is always on (lol) and they were kind enough to check the tires and fill them for me without even asking. Great service, thank you!! Question, how many mechanics does it take to lift up the hood on a car? I've been going to Jiffy Lube's all over the Chicago land area since I first got this car. Never had this problem at any location. Part of the reason I choose them is their politeness. I wasn't in this place no longer than 10 mins. In that time a man in a white shirt went hit the latch on my drivers side to pop the hood. I heard a snap then a pop. But my hood didn't open. Another man sits in my drivers seat, no luck. Then two possible high schoolers- tried to "hulk" open my hood. After seeing this from the lobby, I then go back out and ask if they need help. White shirt says, yes. As I hit the latch, it feels loose.... So they ask me to step out again after it didn't lift for myself either. I told the man in the white shirt I heard a snap and was that normal? He says, I've been working on cars all my life... yada yada yada Based on the kids yanking on my hood, the lack of professionalism and smell of black and milds in the lobby.... I went with my gut and left. I called back after getting a second opinion to see what my options were. Can they tell me how this could've happened? What can be done? How we can come up with a solution? I was met with elevated over talking and deflection. Spoke to my boyfriend and we agreed that maybe he should try to get clarity. We were spoken to with aggression and met with more deflections... they put us on speaker phone and three men all proceeded to talk to us at different points in the call. The first one saying they had camera and they did nothing wrong; another yelling and over talking and even made comments of it being "three black n***** up here". Trying to antagonize us and say my bf was trying to bully them. Which we never made no personal comments or threats towards any of them. So we've now got three guys yelling and when my bf asked for his name- (presumably black shirt) says "I'm here! I'm here" lol what? We are not trying to fight. We want answers. All they did was talk in circles and scream on the phone like a bunch of hood boogers. I'm so happy this place has no personal information on me. As they seem like the type of people to do something stupid based on their emotions. They have nasty attitudes and lack customer service. My theory is the guy yanked it back too hard. And it popped the latch connection to the hood out of place. I now have to go to a body shop due to the three stooges. And will never go to a third party jiffy again. I went on Sunday to get a transmission flush done on my car. Why did the Supervisor tell me that they dont do tht type of service. I promise you without even looking up into the system to see tht was a lie. I had this service done about 2 years ago at this same location. This employee literally shut the hood on my car and told me to have a great day & walked off. I called the Manager of the store and he was rude as well. Called corporate to make sure I could drop off old antifreeze fluid, they said yes. Brought it to this location and they refused it, said "We don't take that stuff." Were very short with me, then disappeared into the bathroom to avoid me. Took it to another Jiffy Lube, who took it willingly. Horrible customer service. Also, the same place "forgot" to reattach a hose on my old Jeep after an oil change years ago, so I will never let them do an oil change for me again. read more

Went in today to get my oil changed. Already had my oil and a filter I bought separately. I asked them to match the price of the other jiffy lube down the street as they wanted 49.99 not 59.99. They agreed and went to pull my car in. Ed the "store manager" gave me a dirty look and attitude the whole time I was here. (Everyone else was beyond great though) Ed goes to pull my car in and I mentioned it's a manual transmission just so he knows. He proceeds to turn around and angrily close my door, stare at me and remove his glasses. Then stares at me for roughly 30 seconds before removing his hat with a "you think I'm stupid or something?" Look on his face. Proceeds to get in my car after saying "I've been driving stick for 60 years" and can't even get the car to move after 5 minutes of trying as he didn't even realize the parking brake was on! He then comes in and says he can't do the oil change as my car is too low to the ground and just walks away. Already frustrated by him I go to leave and find he left my car with no parking break on and not even in gear. Could have just rolled away.... Ed was super disrespectful to the point his co-workers were apologizing saying "I have no idea what or why he's doing that." Again great service by everyone else but Ed needs a reality check. I'm going back to this Jiffy Lube! This place feels sketchy. There oil pumps are broken. I saw them bring up a jug from the basement and fill up the oil in someone's car with what looked like dirty oil, it was not the yellowish clear like it should be. I watched my car filled up with the same jug from the basement but it was clean oil but I don't know what oil they used. The jug filled below could be standard oil not the synthetic that I purchased. Also right at the time they were filling my oil I got called into the office to verify my account info was correct. This seemed like a way to distract me during the filling of the oil. I recommend picking a different place to get your oil changed. This place is sketchy. read more

Hi, I had my oil changed at this location last week...They told me right away I needed the more expensive oil change...I told them just give me the regular change..He told me I would have to sign a waiver?I said fine..He never gave me a waiver to sign... Also, I had a small brown cloth change holder with about 25.00 dollars in it...I used it right before I got my oil change...Fast food...It was missing from my car...Also, my oil light gos on every time I start my car and stays on until I shut it off...O'ya, I have a car that is less than 1 year old...I want my change / purse / holder back.... read more

So I got off work and needed an oil change. Instead of going to the place by my house that I'm used to, I stopped at a different location on my way home. So as I'm sitting in the lobby waiting for my car to get finished a man with severe Cerebral palsy walks into the lobby and walks up to a technician, to ask him to get an oil change. The technician cannot understand the man with Cerebral palsy so The technician continues to just say "can I help you sir can I help you sir can I help you sir can I help you sir can I help you sir" over and over again not waiting or listening to the man and letting him get a word in edgewise. He finally asked the man if you need to oil change the man says yes and he says OK I'll go get it started and walks away from him and walks out the door. The man with Cerebral palsy turns his head looks to me and says "what is wrong with that guy"? I reply some people don't have any patience. He says "forget this guy I'm taking my car somewhere else." And I replied to him if I were you I would do the same thing. And had my car not been 90% done I would've told him to pull my car out and not finish the oil change either. Speaking to someone with a disability in a disrespectful non-understanding tone is unacceptable it's an unacceptable business practice and it will cost you business in the long run. It cost Jiffy Lube an oil change for a gentleman who came in with a pleasant attitude said hello but had Cerebral palsy. As a company JIFFY LUBE, you need to do better. I will not be returning to the Jiffy Lube in Lombard ever and honestly I might not return to Jiffy Lube next time I need oil change if those are the type of people you're going to employ people that take away someone's dignity for asking for a simple service. read more

I do not suggest going to this location. And actually I give them no stars but this is not an option. As their customer service is sorely lacking. When I arrived, I asked simply for an oil change and my tires to be checked. I understood it was late in the day 4:15 and they close at 5 pm, but they took me anyway. Initially the manager Allen wanted to turn me away because he said it wasn't time for an oil change based on my past record here. I explained my car's auto alert system said it was time to receive a full oil change. He said he could just reset the meter. I said thank you sir but I would still like to receive one. He then proceeded to ask me if drove as Uber driver as it's an older red Cadillac and that means my mileage would have been more than usual. I said no. I noted they were not providing an oil change as no tech was in the lower Bay Area and felt things were going south. I did take a quick photo to protect myself. Next a black attendant came in the office where I was sitting and had an attitude. He quickly called me names and accused me of taking video and being racist. While I am white I am also an out lesbian with a black partner. I explained he was being extremely rude and he didn't care and threatened to throw me out. When I tried to expedite this attendants behavior and the situation to Allen the Manager he said I was yelling and combative when in fact I was politely complaining about the poor customer service and how his attendant was being rude. They then kicked me out and I left cash I the counter to pay for my service. Not knowing if ir what they completed without a receipt. I will never ever go to this or any other Jiffy lube location again. I've shared this experience w with other previous Jiffy Lube customers in my area and we all agree you are better off going to another oil change service location. I will say this experience was very sad as my last experience I had an attendant that assisted me and I even tipped them nicely. Never again! After Jiffy Lube I went to AAA Car Care Plus in Wheaton to check my car and Juffy Lube left my oil cap off. Could have really damaged my car!!! read more

I am going on a long car trip tomorrow...and of course needed an oil change first. When I arrived, two cars ahead of me were scheduled for very long services, transmissions. I understand that. Lonzo said I was welcome to wait or come back. I chose to come back rather than wait, and was in and out promptly. I really want to say I hope these employees have great careers ahead of them because I listened and they treated all customers with respect, were professional, prompt, and cordial. Well done, team! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE PLACE! The first time we went here, they didn't tighten the drain plug on my Hyundai and oil leaked ALL over our driveway and continued to leak. We went back the same day and they gave us attitude saying they weren't responsible for this (not sure how, since their literal job is to change the oil) but they tightened it and we were on our way. I then went back this week (I'm a strong proponent of second chances). Again, oil leaked ALL OVER our driveway, even more than the first time and we lost a majority of the oil. When my husband went in the next day to have them fix it, they were EXTREMELY rude to him, stating he was giving them attitude. My husband is one of the most even-tempered humans I know, so I already knew this was going to be an issue. They "tightened" the plug again and then told him we weren't welcome back, BUT IT CONTINUED TO LEAK!!!! So we went to another auto center down the block that is family-owned and SO MUCH BETTER and I cannot recommend staying the hell away from this location enough. The other auto center was able to make the simple fix within seconds and even gave us industrial-grade cleaner at no extra cost for the damage to our driveway. read more

My change oil came on in my car and I pulled into the nearest Jiffy Lube. All seemed to go well until I left the location - my check engine light came on and I started smelling a burnt oil smell in my car. I brought my car into my mechanic and he said that it seemed like someone dropped a pan of oil all over my engine. I paid the mechanic to clean/degrease my engine and the oil smell went away. I will no longer bring my cars to Jiffy Lube. read more
