I went in two days ago for a basic oil change and rock chip repair. The tech, who was also the manager, insisted that I needed to have $1,000 worth of work performed on my car...which is a lot for a Subaru Outback that's only three years old. I said yes to some of the repairs, but when I tried to say no to others (a new battery, for example), the tech pressured me into it, saying that my car was most likely going to break down and leave me stranded if I didn't replace the battery ASAP. Feeling uncomfortable and stuck, I paid for it all. Now, two days later, my air bag light is on. I called the shop to ask about it, finding the timeline to be a little funny (since they'd just worked on my car two days prior and made no mention of an airbag issue). I spoke to the same tech/manager, who claimed it couldn't have possibly been related to the services they performed. Fine. It is what it is. But, since I had him on the phone, I told him how I felt frustrated, overcharged and taken advantage of two days prior. He condescendingly told me that I "was a big girl" and "should learn how to say no." Even though I'd told him "no" just the other day! He then had the audacity to backtrack and tell me how he respects women and treats every customer equally. But, if the tech/manager truly respected women, he would've listened to my concerns and not told me to be a "big girl" and learn how to say "no." True respect would've been to accept my initial "no" and move on. He apologized, but it was more of a "sorry you feel that way" apology, not a genuine "how can we make this right" or "how can we do better next time" apology. The airbag isn't even why I'm upset--I'm appalled by the tech's sexist remarks and the fact that I was pressured to buy a battery I didn't want--after I'd said no. Update: I spoke to a gentleman at the Jiffy Lube's corporate office. He expressed genuine concern and stated that he will personally visit this Jiffy Lube location to offer training/guidance to this tech/manager. While I am still dissatisfied with how I was treated at this particular location, I do feel that Jiffy Lube corporate did their best to make this situation right. read more

She tried to over charge for an oil change and continued to yell across the bay at the other employees. SHE is bar far the worst customer service employee I have ever acknowledged in my life to this day. If you see her run and go back when she isn't there. read more

He had me wait over a half hour only to tell me he wouldn't work on my car and had called the highway patrol! The bays were empty when when I was waiting at the light, by the time the light changed, and I pulled into the parking lot, the bays were full hence I had to wait, and wait, and wait. Finally after waiting for 45 minutes I asked what was taking so long, and I had to get to work. I couldn't wait in the waiting room because there was already a customer waiting, and because of the Covid-19, I couldn't wait in the waiting room while there was someone already in there. There is no where else to wait but outside and nowhere to sit outside. So I stood outside trying to find some sun, because there was a cold wind blowing. Finally they said the problem was trying to get the oil filter off the car that came in before me. It was stuck, and they couldn't get it off, and they were trying, and trying, and trying. I said "Does it take everyone here to try and get the oil filter off" Isn't there someone that can service my car while the other guys get the stuck oil filter off the other car. (How many men does it take to get an oil filter off?) Reluctantly, they had someone help me. I didn't feel I got the best service I paid for. They didn't try to upsell me any items. I had to ask for an air filter, and after looking, they said they didn't have any in stock, and to go to AutoZone and pick one up. They didn't go through the stats with me either. I was interested in those because I just bought a used car, and I would have liked to know if they found any problems under the carriage. After a couple of weeks driving my car, I checked the oil, and they had over filled it! I know that's not a good thing for your engine. Not Happy. read more

Totally fine place to go for an oil change, and every time I have been there it's been quick. Took my car in for routine maintenance before a road trip. They tried to talk me into buying a new battery. I told them I knew how to change a battery myself and would do it myself if it became a problem. An hour into my road trip my check engine light comes on. After checking the engine code and getting a low voltage notification I noticed that they had left they had left the battery terminals completely lose. Shoddy and dangerous workmanship. read more

The manager at this place is a complete loser. I had coupons for each service (oil change, windshield wiper replacement, air filter etc, all separate) and this guy comes out and tells his workers behind my back that I can't use all of them. Jiffy Lube isn't even cheap anymore with prices rising everywhere. I still dropped more that $150 on services. They never changed my windshield wipers and charged me. This location is around the corner from my house. I can walk there and I will never ever go back. I moved here in 2020 and this is where I went for oil changes and whatever other up charges I thought were worth it. That manager is the worst. The manager had me pull up behind a car in the emissions bay, another guy told to pull into the empty bay. The manager had me go back to the other bay. I waited for thirty minutes and decided to leave, then the manger said it would only be a few more minutes. The car they were working on pulled out of the bay and I waited another 20 minutes while the manger had a sidebar conversation, and the other two employees were outside what appeared to be taking a break. I was in Holladay attending to business when I decided to go to the Jiffy Lube there. All was well until I began hearing this AWFUL sound. It sounded like metal grinding against something. Since I live in Murray, I decided to bring it into the Jiffy Lube here in Murray on State St. I asked to speak to a manager and Mark immediately was on the case. Him and his trusty crew of young bucks took pride in there work. They found out the FRANCHISED location in Holladay didn't even re-attach my skid plate correctly which was the cause of the awful noise. They didn't stop there. They double checked ALL the work the Holladay location did and found out the lug nuts weren't tightened properly after my tires were rotated. I brought my car in for a simple oil change the mind-blowingly incompetent staff that works here double-gasketed my oil filter and absolutely destroyed my engine. After 4 days of battling the owner of this location, he created a ridiculous narrative in which my "buddy mechanic" (a mechanic whom I've never met in person) and I were trying to defraud Jiffy Lube for a free engine. The absolute wasteland of a human being who runs this place is placing the blame of a $3000 mistake by one of his staff on me. I literally just drove away from this location. I pulled in on a Friday morning, no cars in the bay. A gentleman comes out, first question out of his mouth when I say I need an oil changes "do you know our rates?" I said, "no, not from this area" and he proceeds to tell me that it will be a minimum of $39.95. Which is perfect! Go ahead change the oil! But then he says , "but it could go up depending on what oil we need to use." I said, "well, could you let me know what the actual cost will be?" He says give me a second, proceeds to go in to apparently talk to somebody else or whatever, comes back out and tells me basic oil change is $39.95 however, I will need high mileage oil...And the cost will be $99.99 for a basic oil change!?! Same issues as everyone else, battery, upselling services I didn't need, AND HUGE RIP OFF!! Good luck using any coupons or Groupon here. MY EXPERIENCE (in as few words as I could write) this place just SUX ASS: I pulled in and there was only one car in the bay being serviced. I wasn't told that I would have to wait yet I had to wait, 20 minutes before being asked what I needed serviced on my car. The manager Mark K. finally called me to go over what I needed done. I told him I had purchased a Groupon to which he replied they don't accept Groupons (no big deal, I got my money back). He then stated my battery was bad and needed to be replaced which I agreed to as I suspected it was going bad. They changed my oil, replaced the battery (with a defective one as my battery light is still coming on after getting the new one), topped off fluids, etc. My paperwork says they cleaned my outside windows but I know they didn't because they were as dirty after as they were before. Floors weren't vacuumed which is a first for me. (I've been a loyal Jiffy Lube customer since I purchased my first car in 1994. When I was called to go over what was done and pay I was told by Mark that they only accept ONE coupon per visit. I have always used multiple coupons, one for the oil change, one for battery or other services, one for registration and so on. The coupons I have even state 'not valid with any other offer for the same SERVICE.' SERVICE not visit. I was completely ripped off, given a defective battery and ended up being there for an hour and a half. This was the worst experience I've ever had at any location and the ONLY bad experience ever in 25+ years of going to many different locations. I will NOT be returning to that location ever but will continue to patronize Jiffy Lube at other locations as I've been treated well and valued. Unfortunately I will have to go back at least once to resolve the faulty battery I was given. I found out after the fact that car batteries have the warranty date on the battery itself and mine still had 2 months left. Emissions and inspection These guys are really friendly. I don't know why they thought I was only there for an oil change when I had said I needed emissions and inspection done as well but when I pointed that out they were so kind to pull my car around and work on it immediately and apologized. They didn't try to sell me on something I didn't need which is what they do at every place like this so that saved me time not having to reject their suggestions. Came agin today (blonde moment) because my wiper broke last night (i thought) pulled in line a guy came to the window asked what i needed done . Told him, he looked at it. First of all, it was stupid expensive. I can buy three oil changes at the dealership for $100 and you charged me $91.85 with a coupon for one? The "manager" gave me some bs excuse about oil prices, but he could have cared less. Do you actively promote people who are dead on the inside? If he had bothered to inform me how expensive it was before you started the service, I would have said no! The idiot (I think it said "Mack" or something like that on his shirt. About 25, meth-addict thin, lots of forearm tats, dark hair and two earrings in his left earlobe) then slopped almost half a quart of this super-expensive oil onto my engine because he was careless and it spilled over the top of the large translucent container that held the entire charge of new oil. He told me to start the engine, then he was rude and acted annoyed when I brought up that I paid for all that oil and would like the level checked to make sure I wasn't going to leave with my oil level less than full. His response? "We do that after, just start the car". He did check the oil later (the fox watching the hen house?) and just shrugged and said it was fine. Like he was going to admit his mistake? Was he just avoiding having to tell his manager? I shouldn't have to pay for oil that's spilt ontoHe did not even clean up the spill so I got to smell burnt oil and gave an additional mess inside my engine compartment. He just walked forward and motioned for me to pull forward out of the bay. Rude, incompetent, ridiculously expensive and my SUV was left dirtier than when it got there. They didn't even get a response from the monkey under the truck about the other fluid levels, the manager just clicked the boxes on the screen. I was present for the whole process in my truck with the windows down and heard everything. You guys are a disaster and not only will I never return, I'll make sure everyone possible knows what an incompetent bunch of rip-off artists you are, that includes social media. I used to go to Jiffy Lube because I thought it was cheaper than the other options for getting an oil change. I didn't realize their basic oil change was $40. Fortunately I found a $10 off coupon online, but still... Sure, they're pretty quick about it, but when the guy showed me both my cabin air filter and my engine air filter and recommended they be replaced ($50 for cabin, $10 for engine) and I said no, he looked at me like I was retarded for not doing it, in an "oooooookayyyy.... but this is what you'll be breathing in..." sort of way. I almost bust out my phone to show him I could buy a good-quality new cabin air filter for less than $15 and install it myself in about 5 minutes, but I figured it wasn't worth the trouble. I'll be trying out some other oil-change options in the future before I come back to any Jiffy Lube. That being said, this location seemed pretty decent as far as Jiffy Lube goes. I brought my wife's car in for an oil change and emissions inspection. Why sitting in the car I watched the technician check the wiper blades which were fine prior to my arrival at their location. During his inspection of the wipers he noticed they were in good condition, he then proceeded to rip the wiper blades and ruin them as I sat in the car and watched. It is one thing to try and sell additional services (needed or not), but to damage your vehicle in order to force you to purchases these additional services is an incredibly poor business practice and I will never be taking my car to this location again! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. HUGE RIP OFF. I wish I read earlier reviews. I'm from out of town so normally I don't go to Jiffy Lube, but it was close, and all I needed was a basic oil change. Upon arriving, I specifically said I didn't want any synthetic oils. Then, I was only presented three oil options. I picked the third one, since synthetic wasn't in the the name. I also said no to every other service aside from refilling the coolant, which should be included anyway but whatever. Tell me why the oil was a synthetic and I was charged over $100 . Frankly, I don't understand the other services I was charged for. I didn't even get to see the bill until after I paid, and then I was forced to leave because people were waiting behind me. Unbelievable. And to think they were asking for $50 to change an air cabin filter when you can easily do that yourself for $15. Ridiculous. Do not go here. Huge scam. At first I was glad to be in and out when I had my minivan serviced. Then about a week later I took a drive up the canyon and on the way down we could smell someone's breaks. I pulled over to take an awesome picture and found out that it was my van!!! They roped off all of my fluids .... well my break fluid didn't need any topping off they filled it over the , way over the full mark!! Never again will I go there!! Also I live across from the jiffy lube and the gym window looks right out to jiffy lube, the young man that is working on a truck has gone for 2 smoke breaks with in 10 minutes wile the customer waits in the waiting room with there child. Absolutely no one should wait longer than the job in hand, not add your smoking break on top of their wait!! Very bad customer service !!! read more

NEVER GO HERE!!! Some of the worst service that I have ever had, the guy takes advantage of people's lack of knowledge of vehicles and tries to sell you on anything he can possibly charge you for. Went to this jiffy lube for an oil change and get my tires rotated. They also pointed out and fixed a rock chip. GEICO had to come out and make sure the chip was done correctly, it was, but there was another crack that has been there that jiffy lube told me was already fixed--it's not. About 3 days after my tires were rotated I started hearing a strange noise from the rear end so I went to my personal mechanic who checked my tires and found that on all four tires the lug nuts were about to fall off. One tire was missing a lug nut and the remaining 3 were incredibly loose. Luckily my rims/tires were not damaged. I've since heard so many terrible things about jiffy lube screwing up, forgetting things, and flat out lying to their customers. Will not ever return. read more

I always forget to read yelp BEFORE I go somewhere. EXPENSIVE First let me say, The service was very very fast. I pulled up, within five minutes they were working on my car and within 15 had it done. The customer service was average. He did welcome me inside with their wifi, TV, and free coffee. He did talk very fast, to the point I had to have him repeat some things. He also did let me know there were upgrades available, but wasn't too pushy and said I probably don't need them with my newer car. The PRICE however is RIDICULOUS! This is my first and last time at jiffy lube. I brought a coupon with me but still had NO CLUE the basic service was $50. They should tell you the approximate cost when you pull up, not when you are halfway through the service and can't turn it down. I called Firestone right down the street and they would do the same thing for $22. I'm sure I could find many more places who would also do it for much much much cheaper. read more

I got to the shop at 9. They told me that it'd take 20 minutes to start on my car and another 20 to finish it. It ended up taking an hour and 45 minutes. They failed me on safety because they said there was a hole in my windshield washer fluid tank. Took my car to get repaired and it wasn't the tank, there was a hole in the hose. When they redid my safety I failed brakes and had to get those replaced again. I wouldn't be mad if they had gotten it all correctly diagnosed and done it in the time they said it would take. read more
