I took it to TSM and they told me the compressor was bad and that it would be $1300 to fix. I was concerned, but I went ahead and approved the repair. I picked up my car after they had closed and while driving home, the cold air stopped blowing!! The original problem was NOT fixed it would work, then it wouldn't work, just like it had been doing before the $1300 repair. I took my car back the next day and they said there was a circuit that was dirty which was causing the air conditioner to quit, and oh, by the way, the compressor was bad too, so the $1300 was necessary. In the end the TMS auto, the' Elite Ethics Certified' repair shop is nothing more than a parts swapping repair service, that will support their mechanics regardless of the cost to the customers. So, think twice before going there.

I'm going to start this review off by saying that I brought all of these concerns up with the…read moremanager and tried to resolve it person to person. However, the manager did nothing but try and defend his mechanic. I brought my 2014 Ram 1500 in to the shop Friday, Jan 24, 2025, because I was having issues with several codes that I could not figure out. All of my issues where inside the engine compartment. When I dropped it off at 7:30am, I was told it would take about an hour or so to diagnose and that I would receive a call from them By 12:45PM, I had not received a call, So I reached out to the shop myself. I was told that the mechanic was done but they needed time to put prices together for the issues found and that they would call me back. At 2PM, I received a call with my quote. They service manager started listing off the issues found and the price quote to fix each issue. One of the issues was lose wiring on my Intake Runner Control Valve. They also started to list off items that I never asked them to checked. The service manager proceeded to tell me that both of my Inner tie rod ends needed to be replaced. Here is the issue with that. My tie rod ends had just recently been replaced and are new. There is also zero reason they should have even lifted the truck up to check the tire rod ends. They informed me that their fix for one of my codes (Cam Shaft Position Sensor) was to replace both my Cam Shaft and Crank Shaft sensors with OEM sensors from Dodge. Again this issue with this, is both sensors were brand new as well. I informed the service manager that I didn't have the money to fix the issues right now, so I would come pay them for the diagnostics and just get my truck. Which I did. When I arrived the mechanic still had my truck in his mechanic bay and I had to wait for him to pull the truck out. As I drove my truck home, I started having serious issues with my truck. It began to run very poorly and started going into limp mode almost immediately as I pulled out of the lot. When I got back home I started to tear into my truck to try and identify the issues they had quoted me. The very first thing I cam to was that they connector to my MAP sensor had been zip tied to my MAP sensor. There was zero mentioned that this plug had an issue and it was not zip tied when I took it to the shop. I then removed my intake manifold to look at the lose wiring for the Intake Runner Control Valve. What I saw next was very disturbing. Their wasn't A lose wire, all four wires from the connector had been removed from he wiring harness and was just shoved back behind the wiring harness. Needless to say, I fixed the wiring the service shop chose to disconnect and moved on with the rest of my issues. And I want to add, that the fix the shop recommended to fix my Cam Shaft Position Sensor, you know replace the sensors with OEM parts, also was not correct. The issue ended up being a simple oil change. A very known issues with HEMI engines. Like I started this review out, I tried to resolve this issue with the shop manager, but he was unwilling to listen and only wanted to defend his employee. BTW had I went ahead and had the shop fix all of the issues they said they found it would have cost me over $1200. All of these issue were fixed in the garage of my house for the cost of an oil change ($50) and a few wire connectors ($6). I know this shop has been around in the northland for decades, and before this incident, I would have recommended them to anyone who asked. But after this incident I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. And I for one will never take any of my vehicles back to them.

About a week ago, I was in a situation where I had to hit my brakes hard. Within a couple of days the brake pad was gone and the rotor was getting hot. Of course I brought it back to Kev's. They were very busy so I made an appointment to bring it in later. He came out and looked at it and could tell it was close to being a bigger issue. It turned out I had another vehicle available so I dropped it off to work on when they could. Also with the pot holes and a couple of rough roads, had them look at the suspension. I didn't expect them to even have time to look at it for week. I talked to them 2 days after dropping it off and they knew what was wrong, but still might be awhile to get parts in and get it back in the shop. I told them no rush. The next day they had it ready. Rides great and no more grinding. Great communication, knowledgeable, fair price, and friendly. Won't go anywhere else!!

The quote included everything down to a new air cabin filter (which they would've seen I had just gotten replaced 2 weeks prior if they had bothered to actually look). I took my car to another mechanic and got the repair, along with additional maintenance, done for $450 total. As a girl in her 20s, this is far from the first time a mechanic has attempted to scam me. However, Christian Brothers cost me more stress and time than any other auto shop ever has.
