I asked for my heat to be fixed and they bought a kit and they kit didn't fix the told me that they give up and I had to take it somewhere else so I did i took my vehicle there more then 4 times to get it fix and when I took it in had no ac but I had heat now I have ac but no heat now read more

I served my country in the USMC for 24 years, I'm 66 years old. I paid my 2011, $14.000 Ford Edge off last year, with Santander credit Union, I had been approved for a car loan for $17,000. Gladstone Auto knew I had been pre-approved. Beware of this dealership, I have a TransUnion credit score letter, in the high 600 hundreds They DON'T want you to do financing with an approved high-quality credit Union, Santander credit Union. They want you to do the finance through them, so they can charge you a high interest rate I worked for Infiniti cars, in Costa Mesa California. I was an internet sales manager so I know about financing. Gladstone are horrible about returning calls , "Jeff" hung up on me three times, I sent many emails in regards to one of their vehicles, on Carfax where the vehicle was advertised not one time did I ever get a response back. Ruth, the finance associate told me three times, she would call me back, and never did. I had all my paperwork, as requested by Ruth, and was ready to do the 3 1/2 hour drive. I never got to speak to a sales associate, Gladstone Auto, is unprofessional. Do your research, on their vehicles! This is a must! I'm quite confident I asked Ruth too many questions in regards to doing my research. I will report them to the better Business bureau. Do not buy a car from these people!! Jeff quoted me over the phone and the price did not change when the job was done. i mean that in itself is amazing from an auto repair shop. He was very nice and personal on the phone. Then when I picked up my car he showed me the parts and what was wrong. i will def be taking my car back here next time I need work done. read more

I took my car in due to a smell in my van. I explained that it may be a valve cover gasket. He promised to look into it and called to say there was nothing wrong with my van. I had him change plugs anyway which cost more than $250. However, smell was still emanating from the engine to inside of car. Took it to another place, which I have used before and they confirmed it was the valve cover gasket and promptly changed it. Now I wonder if he really changed my spark plugs! I may have been ripped off here. My recommendation -- Stay Away. I lost time and the money he charged to check out my car! read more

The dreaded check engine light (CEL). It's bound to come on periodically on an 11 year old vehicle. Unlike other automotive garages, Jeff doesn't charge an arm and a leg to just plug it in to see what causing the light to trigger. The charge is $45, and that gets waived if you choose to get the repairs done with him. Plus, if you're a repeat customer, he'll likely just plug in the computer and check it out free of charge. When my CEL went on a couple of months ago, I took it to another (not to be named national garage chain) and spent $75 to determine an oxygen sensor had malfunctioned. It wasn't an urgent fix, so I continued driving. When I ultimately determined I should get it fixed, I took a recommendation of a friend and headed to Gladstone Auto Repair. Jeff checked it out, and quoted me a price that was at least $225 cheaper than the national chain. He had it fixed within the afternoon. When my CEL came on a week and a half later, you can image how frustrated I was. So I took it by, and he ran the code free of charge for me and determined it was unrelated to the earlier work that he had done for me (this time it was transmission problems. Joy). Jeff directed me to a local mechanic that does work specifically on transmissions. Going to a mechanic is a nightmare. You never know how much it'll end up costing you. But here, I can trust them to give it to me straight, and not gouge me on prices and labor. It's good to know I've found a reputable mechanic in my area that I will be going back to when I need work done. read more
