I came in for a simple safety inspection I should have taken 7 minutes and in the half hour that I waited they didn't even get to the person's vehicle that was ahead of me in line. There were zero sense of urgency to get these people in and out the lady that was ahead of me had to leave for work in 9 minutes and they hadn't done her inspection yet I had somewhere that I needed to be and now I wasted a half hour of my life sitting there in a lobby waiting to have my car looked at and never got looked at. I brought my car here for other things before and it's been the same ammo there's no sense of urgency something simple takes longer than it needs to they always insist on signing you up for text messaging even though you tell them repeatedly I do not want to be text messaged. Today was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. I will not be back.

They had to drive an hour to pick them up and I agreed. It took much longer and then after they arrived it was 30 more minutes. Then someone tells me it's the wrong spark plugs and if I wanted to wait for them to get the correct ones. I said No, and was waiting 45 more minutes to have my old ones put in. Now it's 11:30am. My car finally pulled up and I really needed to go, but had to wait a couple of minutes to get checked out. Finally, I am checked out and I leave and they didn't put my air cabin filter back on. I drove back and my car starts smoking. They said that it was smoke from the oil they didn't clean up. When the manager came by he said they didn't even put any antifreeze that I had paid for. I have been here before and they didn't put my oil cap on correctly and my car started leaking oil. I have been avoiding this place for years but decided to give them another chance, big mistake. I am wondering if my spark plugs were even put back correctly. I never write a bad review, but this case I'm doing it for people's safety and for them not to lose money.

Although I did have great service and kind team members, it took longer than expected! I think I was second in line but because I was behind a car that was getting multiple services, I was waiting a while. They did have two garages in which I thought I would be asked to move to the garage that was empty, but another car pulled up and they started servicing that car instead of me. Therefore I was still stuck waiting. I am usually patient but from my work, it took me 8 mins and if I'm waiting 30 and take 8 to get back and all have to consider time to the the job, that bothered me a little. This is nothing I feel would make me not recommend this place. Things happen. I'm very understanding and the team corrected the action pretty quickly. They offered a great coupon online and stacked coupons because I'm a ride share driver. This was very kind and considerate and I appreciated the effort. Of course I will come back. No harm was done and once I did finally get into the garage, my service was swift and quick. Thank you team for helping me out. Fingers crossed it was just a one time fluke!

When I got their diagnosis report, one thing stood out to me... my spark plugs? I had just gotten those fixed... interesting! I went to my usual mechanic, Nolls Auto, for a second opinion. He called me and explained that I only needed to replace a screw on the coolant hose--not the entire system, as they suggested. My rear shocks, struts, and spark plugs were also in perfect condition. This clearly shows that Sun Auto is dishonest and fraudulent. I called them twice for clarification, but the manager never returned my calls. They also charged me $165 for their fraudulent diagnosis. Their tactics are shady. I recommend finding a different, more trustworthy mechanic.

We would like to share our personal review of a local auto repair shop located in Hockley…read more Please consider avoiding INNOVATIVE CAR CARE located on 2920 in Hockley. This will be a long post, but I'll try to sum it up. Long story short they dont honor warranties on their work and lie about things needing be replaced. We initially brought my daughter's truck in for a new transmission. Shortly after the transmission was replaced, it began to leak fluid extensively. It appeared to require another rebuild. Not long after that, the transmission failed again and needed to be replaced once more. We then took it to a different shop because Innovative declined to honor the warranty. When we retrieved the truck after after one of the stays at Innovative, we observed that all the fuel was gone, despite the tank being full when we dropped it off. We initially wondered if we were mistaken and simply made a mental note. During the period of the transmission issues, we also experienced problems with the air conditioning and requested that they examine it. We invested several thousand dollars to have virtually the entire system replaced. Upon picking up the truck this time, for some reason, the engine brake had ceased functioning after the work they performed. Two years later, the air conditioning failed again. We returned it, assuming the parts would still be under warranty. However, they informed us there was no warranty and that the condenser and Schrader valve needed replacement. We paid nearly a thousand dollars for this service, and they declared it ready. We collected the truck, and the air conditioning worked for two days before failing again. We brought it back, and they promised to provide an update the same day. Two days passed without any communication. Finally, we received a call stating that the compressor and evaporator core needed to be replaced, and these parts were also not under warranty, with an additional cost of $1200. Naturally, I questioned these claims. We contacted three other shops for a second opinion, and they all advised us to return to the original shop, as all those parts should have a lifetime warranty. We then called O'Reilly, as the representative at Innovative stated they had an account there and did not receive a lifetime warranty on parts. When O'Reilly was contacted, they confirmed that their parts do indeed carry a lifetime warranty. When they were confronted with this and point blank asked where they were buying their parts they stated "several places, which ever place is the cheapest". Furthermore, on each occasion my daughter needed to retrieve something from the truck at the shop, it was found unlocked and parked near the road (2920). When we brought this to their attention, their response was that "no one ever comes up here." During this period, we had them replace the water pump, which unfortunately failed again shortly after its replacement. We returned it for another replacement, only to experience a similar issue. The third time, my husband replaced the pump himself, and we have not encountered any problems since then. I have reviewed their reviews, and it appears this may be a recurring concern. It seems improbable that every single component replaced two years ago would require replacement again. This establishment appears to be engaging in deceptive practices.
