Slow Service and misleading employees~ I came to this location to get an oil change and air put into my tires. Everyone knows December through February is low tire pressure season. I made it clear to at least three employees that I needed air in my front tires in addition to the oil change. I was the first car to pull up to an empty drive thru but somehow it still took the crew 25 minutes to completely service my vehicle. By the end, I noticed that no crew member had even gotten close to a tire and were only working under the hood. The cashier assured me the job was completed 100%. I drove away noticing my low pressure light still on. When I went back to the facility to address the issue, the cashier said "sometimes you just have to drive a few blocks." I gave him the benefit of the doubt and drove several blocks. And now here I am filling up my tires manually at the Mobil down the street in -3 degree weather. The psi indicator displays tire pressures that were just as low as they were when I brought my vehicle in. After I finished adding air manually, Surprise surprise!, my low pressure light is off! The only reason I didn't go back again and force the issue is because I didn't get charged for it, otherwise I would've raised hell. I understand it's cold outside but you still need to do your job, especially if I'm paying exorbitant fees for slow service. I wish I could give this location and that employee less than one star. I haven't been come here for a little over a year and every single time, There's an issue. Either they're out of conventional oil, an hour and a half wait, workers with ridiculous attitudes(I'm very forgiving about that - I've worked in the service industry and know how that feels) or today, where the sign out front AND website both say they are open, yet the building is empty. The JL on 103rd Kedzie was my preferred one for years - I'll now take the 15 minute drive just to get halfway respectable service. read more

Waited outside for half hour waiting for shop to open. Manager and another employee inside but they wouldn't answer phone or door. Will never go or recommend this shop. Looks run down and unkempt. Looking at other surveys glad they didnt answer. Wouldn't want them touching my vehicle. read more

Honestly the rudest staff I've ever met. Started with AGGRESSIVELY telling me I absolutely NEED the upgraded service and when I politely declined and thanked them anyway, they rudely had me leave. I worked in customer service for 15 years and I know how hard it is. I do not criticize service lightly. We went to the 159th Street location and were treated infinitely better. I won't be back! I was the only car there and service was quick but I felt cheated. I don't have a high-mileage car but they charged me for synthetic blend oil because they were out of conventional. I should have got back in my car and drove away!! $77 for an oil change - JUST an oil change. What the EFF?!!!! read more

I went in for an oil change and had a couple questions for them about car things since I am not very knowledgeable about car topics. I forget his name but he was very helpful! I got in right away and they did a great job. They even vacuumed the leaves for me underneath the hood. The girl at the front desk had extremely long nails which must make it difficult to work with cars. Just saying. But overall nice place. read more

I might add that I went 25 minutes before closing because of a random issue with my car. I had just wanted the bottom cover piece cut off because it had been dragging under the car. When i arrived it had been 4 cars so I wasn't sure how long or what they would be doing. Whomever was working the closing shift on March 15th at 5:40pm needs to learn how to talk to people, i don't care about you not being paid enough because of some salary bs. That was his excuse along with "we open at 8 tho" that's how people get cursed out now. Learn how to tell people you closing without involving extra bs. Also, delta sonic closes at 6 too and they did it in 10 minutes. read more

It's no wonder why the rating is low for this location. This morning I drove to the Crestwood Jiffy Lube because Siri says it was the closest location to me. I was there fifteen minutes before they opened. One of the workers got a ride to work, so I guess he decided he should service his driver first. He went straight to the car that drove up and parked next to me in the waiting area. I kindly put my car in reverse and drove away. Money is green it spends everywhere. I won't be returning to this location. Integrity is still a valued characteristic. read more

Got there at 7:50 employees did not get there until 8:00 sat outside unti almost 8:25. When other employee got there was told to move my car so he could park crooked. Told him I been waiting to get in he said thats not his problem. Never had an issue before this very disappointed. read more

I arrived at 9 am and I was the only customer. I pulled in and I told the gentleman working there that I needed an oil change and tire rotation. He told me that he couldn't do the tire rotation because of a heat advisory! I asked why and he said that it was due to safety issues. It was only 80 outside and I thought it was very strange!! I moved from Phoenix and I never had an issue with them rotating my tires during the summer when it's 115 outside. Anyways, while I'm waiting in the lobby and the girl that was helping the gentleman came in and said something then just walked out. I didn't know what she said and she came back and rudely told me that she could see me now. Needless to say, I'm never going back to this location and I should have listened to the other reviews! read more

Worst customer care ever. I went there today for a simple oil change. I've never taken this vehicle to Jiffy Lube but have used then throughout the years. I went to this location because every time I drive by they are available and not busy by looking in the work bays. Upon pulling in, i was told $70 for 5 qts of Synthetic Oil. I said I don't want that. I was told they will not service my vehicle without choosing that service. I asked why and I was told because it's the first time I've brought the vehicle to that location. So no automobile explanation from a service point just that's what Jiffy Lube will do. So I asked if I paid that, what about the next visit? I was told I could choose whatever I wanted. I got in my vehicle and left. Do not go to this location. Most certainly do not deal with the smug young woman with long blonde hair. read more

Happened to be in the area, when I rolled up for an oil change. Asked what the wait time would be, and I was told that "we can't give wait times because it's first come, first serve." When I pressed, explaining that I was just looking for a rough estimate, she insisted, "I could say ten but you could be here for twenty." No effort to understand. read more

I was prepared to make this my new go-to mechanic place but the receptionist girl was so rude and unprofessional that I think I'd rather go somewhere else for further service. Bought the Groupon for a standard oil change. Of course I was tried the up-sell to synthetic or synthetic blend. I refused, said I just wanted what the manufacturer recommends in the owners manual, 5w30. I was told that my car required synthetic oil according to their computer and it would only be 19.99 more. I tried to explain to her that the computer is recommending synthetic if the vehicle is operated in conditions under -29*. She didn't understand. Again I said I just wanted 5w30. She finally relented after trying to sell me an air filter. No thanks. And don't get your hopes up on a vacuum, windows cleaned and tire pressure check either. I did get the oil changed, and I needed it so that's the 2nd star. Oh yea, they didn't re-set the oil change monitor either. Stay away if you don't know about cars and are not ready to fight for what you want. read more

I have had oil changes done at various jiffy lubes in the Chicago-land area, and this is by far the worst experience to date. First, if a customer asks how long the wait is and how long the oil change process will take, it is customary to provide a realistic number. Don't say the wait is 15 minutes and the oil change will take 8 minutes when it ends up being almost a 2 hour total process. Second, honest business practices include talking to the customer PRIOR to starting to work on the car about the services that will be provided and costs associated. They emptied out the oil from my car prior to talking to me about what I was looking for, and then quoted me a $100+ oil change. What? I have never paid $100 for an oil change and my car runs beautifully. I told them that this is unacceptable, and we negotiated a lesser oil for $80. I was basically forced into doing the oil change because they had already taken all the oil out of my car. I was not able to leave and reject the service completely. Terrible business practices. Terrible customer service. I recommend that you STAY AWAY from this location at all costs. I was completely taken advantage of. read more
