After years of using this location for my oil changes on multiple cars. My last oil change they didn't tighten the oil filter enough, and over a period of a few months, more that 2 quarts leaked out, making a mess of the driveway & the engine. We though it was the engine itself, so had a different mechanic check it out & find the loose filter, install a new filter, add in the missing oil & clean up the mess under the hood. When I contacted the manager at Jiffy lube, she told me "there's nothing we can do" as they only had a 90 day warranty on their work, and I was just past that at the point I called. I wasn't expecting compensation for all the trouble, cleanup, fixing of their mistake, but not even a partial refund, or even a credit towards additional work? - let's just say Jiffy Lube has lost mine and my families business for life. read more

I had tried to do the oil change myself and the process involves removing the skid plate from under the car. I could not complete the oil change so brought my car to them. I did not put the skid plate back on out of convenience for Jiffy Jube. When I went to them, they told me they would need to charge me $45 to put the skid plate back. I tried to explain that they would have had to take it off and on anyway to do the oil change, but they said no. How does this make sense??? read more

Spent $101.00 for oil change. Asked if they could swap out my air-conditioning filter...had my own. They were accommodating and said yes. Had to go and come back next day. Then a rigid employee named S@m@#ra Decided charge me $20. Extra to put in a simple filter. I told them to F off. You've lost my buisness. I explained you really want to charge me 20 and lose 300.00 in the next year???? I'm now going to my dealership again. Simple courtesy. I had a great experience here on Sunday for a signature oil change. Demi was impressive, braving the cold to guide cars and ensure everyone was serviced in the correct order. The mechanics were very respectful of me waiting in my car; they asked before opening my door to check the panel and before requesting I turn the engine on/off. While $100 is a lot for an oil change, that's a corporate pricing issue and doesn't reflect the excellent onsite staff. For a 15-minute turnaround, the efficiency and professionalism were worth it. On Sunday, April 26, I took the wife's '23 Audi A 6 to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change. I usually use Valvoline, but moving to Smithtown put Jiffy a few miles closer. Arrived at 9am. The lady told me the cost was $138. They got to it pretty quickly. I agreed the cabin air filter needed replacing, so add 50. Two quarts low on coolant, add 11. TWO hours later it was (supposedly) done. The (over) charge was 253. I commented about charging for storage, but after 2 hours, just paid it. They had pulled to car around behind the building. When I got to it, an employee had the door open and the screen on the dash was opened to a program concerning checking the oil level. It said the car needed to warm up to work. She told me if it was low, to bring it back and they would top it off. They wanted ME to tell THEM if they had done THEIR job. Drove it home. The app said the function was unavailable at the time. I shut the car off and figured only a moron wouldn't know how much oil it required. As the wife commuted back and forth to Garden City that week, the red oil warning began flickering on and off. On Friday, the yellow oil light came on, and the computer said it was a quart low. Took the car back to Jiffy Sunday am, parked and opened the hood. Told the lady they had left it a quart low, and felt like a shouldn't have to wait.10 minutes passed, they told me to move it to the other side of the bays. I did, and reopened the hood to make it quick and easy. 10 more minutes passed, and I'm obviously being ignored. I went to a lady who turned out to be the manager, explained the situation. She told me it would be unfair to others waiting, and that they had "procedures". At that point, I had been waiting 1 week and 2.5 hours for them to finish what was already paid for. She walked away, and a kid I'll call The Closer came over. I explain the problem. This clown told me they check the manual before doing the job, implying I must be lying or delusional. He told me that if I was angry, he'd ask me to leave. At that point, one would have to be brain dead if not angry. I left. Recap: I was told they were unsure about the oil level, said they would top it off if low, but instead were incompetent, indifferent, insolent and insulting. It's easy to see they would rather treat a customer like that than take 90 seconds of their time to correct THEIR mistake. I wouldn't trust these imposters to put 2 pounds if air in a tire. As to the Jiffy responses here, they a hilariously insincere. The 5 star reviews read like cheap radio ads, so probably phony. Jiffy Lube has the lowest customer approval in this area. A week after getting my oil change here I had a major leak. Brought it to GM and they said whoever did the oil change never tightened the filter. Cost $50 to have it tightened and oil topped off. I went back there for my next oil change and requested they take $50 off and the general manager said no. So not only do their techs suck but their GM doesn't know how to take care of customers. read more

Went in for an oil change on my 2021 VW Jetta. After 3 days, there were oil drips all over my driveway. After investigating, the idiot that performed the oil change did not tighten the oil drain plug hard enough and did not tighten the oil filter. Not to mention, there were 6 bolts from the engine cover that were not returned. Another great service from a great shitty company on Long Island. It seems where ever you go these days, people do shitty work and expect to get paid. I contested the charge on my credit card and was reimbursed the charge. They will definately not be around in Commack, I hear a lot of bad stories from my mechanic friend at VW, that they receive many jobs and cases from Jiffy Lube that does not give a shit if they do good work or not. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS! These workers were so rude and disrespectful. It was around 2PM in the afternoon when I arrived to this Jiffy Lube I was greeted by Freddie and I told him I was there for oil change, long story short I drove in and waited inside for an oil change ONE hour. Freddie goes and works on another car which actually came after me and disregards me. Christopher came and told me to pop the hood and left to his car to get his lunch a jamaican flavor bag then disappeared for the day. Twenty-five minutes later another young guy came to finish pouring the oil into my car engine. Freddie then shows up after One hour and half told me to pull out and charge me outside and never gave me the next mileage sticker visit but its fine because ill never return to this Jiffy lube or any other Jiffy lube ever again. I should've stood going to Valvoline Instant Oil which is better oil quality and better customer service technicians throughout the state and city of NY. The price for an oil change 124.00 is understandable for the convenience. However I was shown a dirty cabin air filter and agreed to it being changed. When I got the bill I was charged $70. Outrageous. I told the manager I thought the charge was robbery. His response was it was difficult to change which was laughable because they had to take it out to show me. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change on Saturday. I had the tires rotated also . They forgot to update my sticker and settings . On Tuesday on the following week, I brought my car in for an inspection. My car failed inspection because I have zero rear brakes . The place is EMPTY! Everyone is sitting around, I tell them I want an oil change for older engines as well as the carpet cleaned. They pull it into the ramp and say sir, I'm sorry we can't change your oil. Why I ask? Well we don't have the oil filter in stock, the manager didn't order them. *Here is the part that gets me pissy.* A Corvette is a Corvette but its still a 350 Chevy/GM engine. This engine has been in existance since they started making cars!!! So, they give me a coupon and I'm on my way. Here's the one star review. I decide to call corporate to complain. They are so clueless at Corporate Jiffy Lube, they said each store is indpendantly owned. Ok, don't you want to know how your franchise is doing? Nope, don't care. Here's the number to the owner, he owns a few stores in the area. I call the owners business and reach an answering machine at 4:30 no less. On the other hand, they did not try to sell me windshield wipers and other services - maybe because my car is new but in any case, I was in and out of there rather quickly which is why I use them. Do not go here. This place will destroy your car. I went for a oil change, they didn't screw the filter on tight enough. A few days later the oil leaked, engines seized and now I need a 20k engine on a brand new truck. I called customer service they were useless, and the local manager is unresponsive. My car mfr's local dealership doubled its price of an oil change ($40 with coupon to $80 with coupon), matching that of my local Jiffy Lube, which is closer to me, so, that's where I went. Almost as soon as I drove up to the busy shop (9am on a Sunday morning; 3 cars in the bays; 5 pulled up shortly after me!), an employee directed me to one of the three bays, and said it would be a few minutes. About two minutes later, another employee came out with a computer pad, and asked questions about the car (mileage; service desired (oil change); did I know what kind of oil I wanted; was synthetic blend okay (apparently, they no longer have conventional or full synthetic; my car allows full or blended synthetics), and my contact info. I also told him that it was unnecessary to check anything else, as I do that, myself (backyard mechanic with over 40 years of experience); he had no problem with that. I asked whether he needed the coupon I got online, but, he said to hold onto it until the end of the service. He said it would be about 5 minutes, and that's when I was directed into the bay. It took about 10 minutes (a third employee started to check the air filter, but, I told him to stop; he asked if I was sure about that, and I replied in the affirmative; obviously, my earlier request to not do anything other than the oil change did not get passed on). When the service was done, the second employee accepted my coupon, gift card, and credit card: $20 out of pocket with tax. After I drove out, I double-checked their work, and could find no trouble under the hood or beneath, except for minor oil streaks on the plastic hood cover, which I wiped off with a paper towel (n.b., blended synthetic has a slightly dirty look to it, but that's normal). The Pennzoil oil and no-name filter seem to be okay. I've read complaints about Jiffy Lube breaking or stripping oil pan bolts, but, they are not accessible to me without a car jack, so, I couldn't see it, but, I doubt there was a problem. At home, with the car off for hours, there are no leaks and the oil level is fine. I wish it was less expensive without having to resort to coupons and gift cards, but, to be in-and-out in less than 15 minutes from the time I drove up versus two hours at any garage made it seem worth it. All three employees I dealt with, directly, were professional and courteous in a non-patronizing manner. Well done! read more

I have a 2012 RAV and I needed an oil change. I usually bring it to empire Toyota, but I know that bill seems to go up and up each time I go. I was due for an oil change so I decided to go to jiffy lube in Huntington. Unfortunately, they were closed to maintenance issues. So I took a drive instead to Commack jiffy lube. There were three bays which were being used and I had cars in front of me. After about a half an hour, it was my turn to drive my car in. I am physically handicap and so is my mother. We were thrilled that we could stay in our car while the oil change was done. I had a synthetic oil change and had the antifreeze topped off. Jean was our attendant the service the car. We were given a coupon to use for 10% off. They also put air in my tires as I requested. Jean was polite ,efficient, professional and knew what he was doing! I thanked jiffy lube and their crew for making my day better knowing that we are safer in our car. We will be back on the next oil change. Many thanks again! read more

Don't send your young drivers in for an oil change by themselves. They think that $95 for a synthetic oil change is reasonable (this included a $5 coupon off). It should be around $65-67 for a full synthetic. Skip the coupon, skip the place. When I spoke with the person at Jiffy his response was well he can bring the car back and we will take out the oil and replace it with regular. I'm no fool, but they do take the young people for idiots because they don't know any better (have a credit card and sign). I guess that is how you make your profit.
