The place was clean and most employees were nice. The guy who worked on my car not so much. I was sitting in the parking lot and he came up and stood in front of my car sharply pointed and didn't say a word. When I was ready I pulled up got out of the car and he reached for my keys and didn't say a word. At this point I assumed he didn't speak English and asked another employee where I should go. He said he was supposed to take you there. There are 4 names on my receipt so I don't know what his name is. I was told they still vacuum and wash the windows. The front seat floor only was vacuumed and not very well. The windows still had fingerprints and cobwebs all over them and the outside of the windshield still had bird poop on it. I asked if they replaced the windshield wipers and they had forgotten to do it. I was there for 10 minutes tops. The oil was changed and the wiper blades were changed after I reminded them. The cost was insanely high. The total was $173 for an oil change and 2 wiper blades. read more

I just would like to think Jiffy Lube for their fast convenience service and also Jonathan for going above and beyond for a customer and crunch time. Thank you and I wish everybody at this place a wonderful rest of your day. The service was amazing and it wasn't as much as I thought it would be thank God for military discounts. read more

in May I went to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed and asked for synthetic oil and assumed everything was done which cost me $80 shortly after my car started making noise, and I discovered that there was only a quart of oil left. Nothing was showing on the dipstick. I took it to another shop, and it was the original oil filter from the time prior to going to Jiffy Lube. I went back to Jiffy Lube and asked to watch this time. I was told that I insulted them because I said it wasn't done correctly the time before and that I insulted them. I then asked them to pull my car forward so I could take it somewhere else. read more

They change all of the air filters even when they are not needed. Van had 16,000 miles on it and they changed the engine air filer. Sorry but this isn't needed until at least 30,000 and it is a normal use van nothing on construction sites, etc. just residential. Total scam and robbery at it's finest. read more

Always act busy even when nobody is there. Horrible customer service. Short and demanding. Brought in a fleet car and the woman yelled at me for not telling her what company the fleet card was attached to after I gave her the card with all the info on it. Last time I pulled in and waited until finally a guy came out and yelled at me to pull out because a car they had pulled in prior to my arrival was to be in front of me in my bay. I simply left. They have one good employee that is patient and will talk over what needs to be done to your car but unfortunately he has to work with the rest of the staff. The work is done satisfactory but the attitudes and customer service are horrible. Will not return. read more

I'm usually a do-it-yourselfer on car care, but it's cold now, so Jiffy Lube. An issue was discovered with my engine coolant, which was both a surprise to me and a mystery to the techs. They advised a radiator exchange at a mechanic, to not waste my money on the service. I appreciated that honesty, but elected to have the fluid exc done anyway. Oil, air filter, trans fluid ex, and coolant ex...$325. Not having to do it myself in the cold, priceless. So far no issues, no leaks, no overheats, no shift irregularities. Fingers crossed. Service was spot on, I've taken wife's vehicle there before, never an issue. At the right time of day it's also very fast... 8-9-19- Turned out to be a known issue where coolant invaded the trans system, caught in time for flush and bypass of cooling line...at least Jiffy Lube bought me some time. Go somewhere else unless it's dire urgency. Came here for an oil change a few months back (I accidentally saved this review as a draft & forgot to post- so I'm posting now.) I already knew how JL worked: you overpay for the convenience, and that's fine, even though it is overpriced. That's not what I'm giving a one star review about. I would get them a negative-one star review if I could. Despite firmly stating a dozen times that I wanted NOTHING else done but an oil change, they still took it upon themselves to harass me for car work, and it was the most brazen "begging" I've ever witnessed. The cherry on top is when they pulled out a dirty air filter THAT WASNT EVEN MINE in an attempt to manipulate me into unnecessary car work. Absolutely classless, and an insult to my intelligence (like I don't know what my own filter looks like.) The salesmen at one point even struck up simple conversation about particular car parts in general, but because I didn't say a flat out NO to fixing this particular car part in my car, he checked it as a "YES" on his computer. I quickly corrected him, but the brazenness of it was, once again, classless. I had to keep on high alert to not get scammed, which is good practice for customers to do anywhere, but the degree I had to here was just unacceptable. Perhaps they figured as a woman I wouldn't know anything about my own car? I don't know, but bottomline is, avoid this place at all costs. read more

As usual I am left with some sort of disappointment after my oil change, today a little more than usual. Today I saw oil dripped on my headlight as well as had oil on the outside handle of my car. So I immediately get oil on my hand when I go to get back in my car after my oil change. Apparently I also made the mistake of going by the car wash before going to Jiffy Lube. Because now my hood and other parts of my car have dirty oily handprints on it. Heard of a paper towel Jiffy Lube?? Perhaps it would be a good investment to wipe down the mess before giving the car back to me. Another time I was there they were kind enough to adjust the pressure in my tires, but they adjusted it higher than the manufacture suggested. By about 7 pounds too much. I love the oil changes are super fast and I don't need an appointment and I can get in and out really quickly. However one of these days I'll probably just learn my lesson and spend the extra hour at the dealer to not deal with all the headaches of such a fast cheap oil change. Thanks Jiffy Lube. read more

My husband uses Jiffy Lube for his truck and I usually go a little further up the street where i need to make an appt and leave my car or sit in the tire smell for over an hour. I decided to make a quick trip to jiffy lube last month and was in and out within 20 minutes. Everyone was extremely polite. I was not preyed upon because I was female nor did they try to up-sell me. They did inform me of other services cars should get at the mileage my car was at. This being said, I chose what I thought I wanted done and refused the others. All prices were right in front of my face so no surprises. No mention of air filters that I can recall. Today my daughter needed a car, she was thinking of buying, looked at. Jiffy Lube had no problem doing this for us. They knew we weren't getting any repairs done. They were all very friendly again. They found 3 leaks so we took the car back and informed the seller. Convenience and customer service go a LONG way. read more

They removed the 4 screws and only replaced 1 screw.... I'm not happy. Go to replace the cabin filter, well the broke the glove box. Now I'm pissed... If i could give a zero star rating, i would. I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze, and got an oil change here in November of last year. The car had since been driving progressively weirder and weirder and I couldn't really put my finger on it because it got slowly worse and worse, and two days ago, the engine started making this god awful rattling sound whenever i would accelerate, and i got an alert in my car saying "engine power reduced". Brought it to my dealership, they showed me the oil that was left in my car from my oil change at this shop. They said that it looked like i never even got my oil changed, or you all just used the wrong oil for my car, either way, this is ridiculous considering i paid $60+ for this awful oil change, could have gotten in at my dealership for $40 and it wouldn't have messed up my car so badly. Never coming in here again and none of my local friends and family will be either if i dont hear back from someone about this. This is inexcusable read more

Jiffy Lube - Auto Repair Near Me - Bel Air, Maryland

Went in for on oil change was expecting to spend $50 max then ya add fluids I didn't need and anti freeze and my bill is $151. I feel I got ripped off and before I say cancel everything they drained my oil out of my truck so it left me screwed. My mom has a bigger truck then me and she only paid $60 for a oil change and all the fluids added/changed. I'm sorry can't go back to a place that rips off people. read more

I have been coming here for the two years I have lived in Maryland and I love it. Contrary to the other review, I have never had an "upsale" problem, I have been offered other services, which I declined and had no problem. They are really great, honest people. Even told me I didn't need something that would have made some money. All in all, if you need a quick, cheap oil change, this is the place to go. read more

Horrible place to work. After working 7 months, never missing a scheduled day or asking for a day off, my son asked for a week so he could visit his dad in NC he hadn't seen in nearly a year. They didn't say no, they just fired him. For asking. The managers mis-report the workers' hours and pocket the difference. Can't think they'd do the customers any better. read more

Came on my lunch break - it was quick and easy and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful!

Despite obvious service problems, I have used the Jiffy Lube in Bel Air for several years for one main reason: convenience. Here are a few examples of the problems I've had from these guys over the last 10 years: 1. Left off 3 out of 4 valve caps on my tires 2. Cabin air filter removed from my car to show me how "dirty" it is (it was actually only 2 weeks old and not dirty at all). 3. The never ending upsell is a consistent problem at this Jiffy Lube location. They are never satisfied just doing a basic oil change...management always wants to upsell you on something you don't need. 4. Plastic housing for the cabin air filter was removed (see point number 2 above) but was never replaced and neither was the air filter. After a week of no heat in the middle of winter, I had to order replacement plastic housing from the dealer as well as a new air filter since the Jiffy Lube employee never put it back in my vehicle and, when confronted, management denied that they had done anything wrong. 5. I was charged for more expensive, synthetic oil that I never requested. When I was pulled from the waiting room out into the shop, the employee reviewed all of my car info and managed to skip right over the discussion about oil type. My car takes conventional oil (mid-2000's GMC Yukon) but when I got the bill at the end, I saw that they had filled my car with synthetic oil (and, of course, I was charged extra for it). All of the problems above are frustrating but not something that I can't handle. Unfortunately, my experience in December 2017 was so bad that I will never return to this Jiffy Lube again. In this incident, I asked for a simple oil change (i.e. just drain the oil, change the filter, and put in new oil, no vacuuming, window washing, etc.) to avoid the hassles described above. All seemingly went well with the oil change but, when I got back in the car, I noticed that the brakes seemed a little spongy. I pulled my car out of the location and quickly realized I had no brakes at all and was unable to stop. Fortunately, I was able to stay in the right turn lane and coast into the nearby Wawa without hitting anybody. I immediately returned to the Jiffy Lube and was greeted by the manager, who I am sure was nervously awaiting my return. He said that he had noticed that the brakes didn't seem right when he pulled the vehicle out of the service bay (thanks for warning me before I pulled out onto Tollgate Rd and nearly caused an accident!). He looked at my vehicle and said that they had nothing to do with the brake problems despite the brake fluid now being well below the minimum level and dripping onto the pavement below. This was quite surprising since my brakes were working fine when I initially arrived at Jiffy Lube and the person who checked the fluid levels indicated that the brake fluid was at a normal level between the min and max. The manager continued to deny any responsibility for the brake issues. Eventually, he ended up giving me a quart of brake fluid and told me "good luck driving home". Thankfully, I was able to make it home safely after refilling the brake fluid a couple times and by keeping my car under 20mph for the entire trip. I took my car to a repair shop who said that one of my brake lines was damaged by someone or something hitting it. It's hard to pinpoint the exact cause, but the repair shop mechanic believes the brake issues were caused during the oil change and were likely the result of the mechanic bumping or hitting the brake line by a tool (i.e wrench, screwdriver, etc.). Overall, this Jiffy Lube will change your oil but the management is extremely untrustworthy and will likely make mistake(s). The mistake could be as small not replacing the valve caps or as large as sending you back out onto the road with no brakes!!!. Management will lie to you at every chance they get and deny responsibility for any and all problems. You are taking your life into your own hands if you use this Jiffy Lube. read more

I must say that I didn't want to go to Bel Air for an oil change, but I had procrastinated and my usual place didn't have any appointments and the closest Jiffy Lube (Aberdeen) still refuses to service Volkswagens. To add to the misery, I chose one of the coldest days of the year. However, to Bel Air I went before my engine seized up and my car died. When I pulled into the shop, I almost turned around (which would have been very difficult considering the way the shop is located) because there were two lines of cars three deep waiting to get serviced. Within just a few minutes a gentleman came out to tell me that the wait would be about 30 minutes and wanted me to know that VW oil changes were more expensive than the regular oil change (not new to me, but I appreciated the heads up). The gentleman also asked if I minded sitting in my car until room in the waiting area opened up. This was not a problem for me- I had heat, satellite radio, and a phone charger. I ended up waiting in my car for about 15 minutes before moving into the waiting area. After about another 30 minutes, my car was finished. The staff was super friendly and polite. I would definitely come back here again. read more

The only reason I came in was because I had a $10 off coupon and it was raining. Shame on me for coming back since the last time. As usual, they try and upsell you on everything under the sun. This needs this, this needs that, blah blah blah. Nope, nope, nope. To top is off they practically insisted on a tire rotation until I happily explained to them that my tires were less than 2 weeks old. The guy sounded shocked. I wonder if my oil was even changed. read more

It's a drive through oil change station, you get the service you'd expect. They don't treat you like royalty, but they don't treat you poorly either. They get the information they need friendly enough and efficiently. Then they sit you down in a small waiting room which isn't all that comfortable, but then again it is a drive through oil change station. I always go here because I know I'll be in an out and can go about my day. read more

If you would have asked me yesterday to give this jiffy lube a rating, I probably would have given it 4 or 5 stars. Been going to this jiffy lube for almost 2 years and besides being hassled every time about wipers, air filters and all the other stuff they try to sell you, I never really had a problem. Until today. I'm a pretty OCD person about the warning lights on my dash. I know for a fact my check engine light was not on when I arrived and when they were done with the service and I got back into my vehicle. I made one stop on the way home and when I got back in my vehicle the check engine light came on. I drove my vehicle to Salvos and had them run the code. It ended up being an emissions code about a small leak. I then went back to jiffy lube to see what they could do for me since it was kinda odd that I just had work done by them and now my check engine light was on. Once I got back there they had an assistant manager come talk to me. At no point was he interested in helping fix the situation. He continued to tell me that I was wrong and the light was on before I arrived. I said well even if I am wrong, you're still not going to even look under the hood and just verify nothing else was damaged during the service? And he said no. He completely blew me off and walked away saying have a nice day. I've been going to this place every 5,000 miles for 2 years and the first time there's an issue, they won't even take a second and verify they didn't actually cause the problem. Complete disrespect. I understand if you're reading this and saying well hopefully nothing will happen to me. But if something does actually happen to your vehicle. They will do everything in there power to deny they had anything to do with it. I'm not the only one they've done this to. Read the other reviews and find out for yourself. read more

Friendly, fast and never had a problem with any if their work. My complaint is that they ALWAYS try to upswell you on filters. I just changed them a few weeks ago and yet they tell me they are dirty and really need to be changed. I'm tired of it. The guys must get paid a commission for every filter they sell. Don't ruin the good experience with this hard sell. No need for it. read more

I had my oil changed on 1/28/17 and the tech was very professional and courteous but as usual they had a recommendation for another service for $89 which I declined then the very next day my heat starting going cold. A friend of mine asked if my coolant had been checked and my immediate response was that I was just at Jiffy Lube and they top off all the fluids so that shouldn't be an issue well WRONG. My coolant was more than a gallon low!!!! I could have a completely blown engine if I had waited to have it looked at based on the assumption that they did their job. I called and told them what happened and they said they charge to top that off to which I responded well it was never brought to my attention (which their records confirmed) but as usual they were quick to recommend the other service! The gentleman I spoke with was again very polite and said yes they should have mentioned that the coolant was low but that wouldn't have mattered if I blew my engine. Bottom line...being nice to customers is great however if I can't trust that you've done the job that I've paid you to do, that you mention in all your commercials, than the niceties are useless. read more

My husband took his vehicle in for an oil change and ended up having a issue with a part from his vehicle being accidentally broken. The Store Manager and District Manager handled the situation in a very professional manner. A resolution to the situation was handled just as they had described. While it was an unfortunate situation for both parties, I was very impressed with how the issue was handled. I will continue to be a patron in the future. It is obvious that they want to keep customers happy. read more

I've rated this jiffy lube 5 stars in the past but will not longer be returning. I have a new car and use jiffy lube as an alternative for a quick inexpensive oil change. Unfortunately they've now lost my business. Last time I went, they didn't reset my service light which was frustrating but worse than that they improperly reattached my splash shield which ended up literally falling off as I drove down the 83 coming back from PA that same evening, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned today. After getting the usual hassle about air filters etc they finish my oil change and I pay. As jiffy lubes prices on air filters are absurd I went to my favorite local store and bought an air filter only to discover jiffy lube lost one of the screws on my air filter! The car is 6 months old and I'm now missing a splash guard and an air filter housing screw which I'm praying they didn't drop in my cars air filter or turbo system. Completely incompetent crew there. read more
