Their report was clear, complete, and easy to understand -- it really helped me make an informed decision not to go through with that purchase. A short time later, I found another car -- an Infiniti Q50 -- and brought it to Mr. Tire for inspection as well. Once again, they gave me an excellent, detailed report and took the time to explain everything clearly. '' The car has been well maintained and this is solid purchase.'' Their honesty and professionalism helped me feel completely confident moving forward, and I bought the car knowing exactly what I was getting. From the front desk to the mechanics, everyone was friendly, informative, and respectful of my time. Even the owner personally called to confirm my appointment, which showed genuine care for the customer. I inquired about all the promises made and the employee said he wasn't responsible for something another employee said. -Pulled up 30 minutes before closing time and the vehicle had not moved. I grabbed the keys because these people simply can't be trusted. Mind you, I had told the shop multiple times I was driving my three children over 400 miles and needed it fixed and they said 100% they would With liars like this working, can they really be trusted to give an honest feedback on anything in the shop? After spending quite a bit of money over the year at Melvin's, I called up and asked them how much…read moreit'd cost to install some parts for me. The guy asked what I wanted to install, and when I said brake pads and rotars, he said that they refused to install customer parts. Typical of the bigger name chains, but I expected more out of Melvin's. Bottom line, the brake pads and the rotars for my SUV ran me about $350, give or take, and these were the lifetime, high quality brake pads and the $70 a pop rotars for each of the two fronts and like $40 for each of the two rear... so good parts at a high price. Imagine if I had gotten them from Melvin's? Those $50 brake pads would have been $100, those $70 rotars would have been $150, and then labor would have been another $200-$300. Rip off. Instead of trying to keep customers, they chase them away with their greedy policies that force their customters to spend more than they need to. In my earlier review I said they had reasonable prices. It seems now that when it comes to little rinky-dink shit their prices are reasonable, but when they see the big $$$ they become like all of the other auto places - out for only a quick, hugely-marked-up buck at the customer's expense. Bad way to keep customer loyalty.
