    Crab Pasta Special
    Ari K.

This is a 4.5 out of 5. In terms of fresh pasta, you won't be able to do any better than Jianna. Super authentic and masterfully prepared. The gnocchi is cooked with bacon and perfectly fluffy. The grilled bread was amazing as well. The crab pasta dish was super crab flavored and cooked with sun-dried tomatoes. Very rich dish,. My said the spaghetti was a 7/10. Overall, we had a lovely meal.

    Gemeli

The ricotta with ciabatta and pricutto were absolutely wonderful and definitely the stand out of the meal. I had the gemeli as my main and it was good, just salty. My dad had the spaghetti TBG and it was a great option for a lighter pasta that seems to be consistently good. Also, I would definitely reccomend the Sangiovese wine. Our server was absolutely wonderful!

Exceptional evening and exceptional meal. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and it couldn't have been a better experience. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking Falls Park. It was a gorgeous night and our table was perfectly situated to enjoy views of Main Street. We were immediately greeted and wished a happy anniversary. When seated, we were presented with special menus noting the anniversary. Sam was our server and she was wonderful, so warm and friendly. We started with a half dozen East Coast oysters. Such a delicious service, complete with mignonette, hot sauce, and cocktail sauce. I had the scallop special and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. We ended the meal with a delicious olive oil cake. This was a very special way to celebrate a milestone anniversary, or any special occasion. We highly recommended this exceptional restaurant!

    Lamb Ragu Special

We had a dinner reservation for a party of 2 at 8 pm on Saturday, 3/22/25. We were celebrating a birthday, which they acknowledged with birthday wishes and a "Happy Birthday" menu, but that was it. No dessert on the house, which was a bummer. Katelyn was our waitress and she was great! We got a starter, bread, and we got all specials for the half order of pasta (the move!!) and our large plates. Here's what we got: - North Carolina Burrata ($15): More like a salad, doesn't come with bread. Very good! - Grilled Ciabatta ($4): Unfortunately, they don't offer free bread service. The bread was fine, but we wouldn't get it again. - Lamb Ragu Pasta Special (half order, $15): OMG. This was soo good. The half order was the perfect size too. Still dreaming about this. - Scallop Special ($45): The scallops melted in my mouth! Loved the mushrooms in the dish too! - Filet Special ($55): We ordered this medium, but it came out very medium rare. My husband was fine with that, so he ate it. It was good, but the side was even better! The potatoes, snap peas, and cauliflower were perfectly seasoned. So good! We were sadly too full for dessert. We would 100% go back and have already recommended to others! Good portion size, reasonably priced, and delicious food!

Calamarata al Nero di Sepia with rock shrimp and squid ink pasta

What an exceptional dining experience! Our server, Matt, was outstanding. His wine expertise truly elevated the evening. He described our selection so vividly that I could practically taste the wine before it arrived at our table. Through thoughtful questions, he guided us to the perfect selection: Il Colle di Carli. It was delicious and set the tone beautifully for our meal. For our main courses, we ordered the lamb shank rigatoni and the Calamarata al Nero di Sepia with rock shrimp and squid ink pasta. The squid ink pasta was a first for me, and I was absolutely delighted. The flavor was extraordinary and unlike anything I'd experienced before. Both dishes paired wonderfully with our wine. We dined outside with live music drifting from the street, creating the most enchanting atmosphere. Our server asked if we were too warm, and we agreed we were feeling a bit warm, Matt graciously adjusted the outdoor heating without hesitation. Every detail was attended to with care. This is the kind of restaurant that understands fine dining is about the complete experience: exceptional food, knowledgeable service, and an ambiance that makes the evening unforgettable. Simply beautiful.

First time in Greenville, what an absolutely wonderful town. First time at Jianna's , an incredible meal, we deferred to our waiter, Andy, who had wine recommendations from a very extensive list, as well as thoughts on appetizers and entrées, I don't think you can go wrong with anything. Everything was delicious and fresh and so homemade tasting. We absolutely plan on coming back on our next trip. And you've gotta love a restaurant that actually has a cookbook you can purchase!

Here tonight for a dinner date. Tonight we had the Grilled Ciabatta with Olive Oil as a starter. Make sure you get the freshly ground Parmesan cheese with that. And ask for extra Parmesan. We then had the Pan Roasted Red Snapper (but tonight they substituted it with North Carolina Bass). The fish comes with Poached P.E.I. Mussels (delicious - really, my husband who normally does not love mussels really liked these), potatoes, and squash in a really nice sauce. Make sure you also try a pasta dish. They make all their pastas fresh daily. We got the Strozzapretti.

    Caramel Semmifredo

Jianna is a greenville staple. Consistently amazing and seasonal menus that show the chef has true passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients. This week, the star was the lobster pasta with black truffle in a garlic sauce. The ricotta corstini is always a star app. Weekends are great for brunch and they have a great raw oyster bar. Caramel semmifredo desert is a staple menu item that always delivers. A must try 5/5 stars. Only thing that may be an issue for some patrons is that the food can be a bit salty

Bathrooms are A plus. Service prompt and friendly. Not tourist feeling even though it's in the heart of the tourist area. Recommend to anyone.

Starters including: meatballs, risotto, ricotta crostini, grilled ciabatta, spinach and ricotta agnolotti. YUM!

I celebrated a milestone birthday at Jianna this past weekend. It was very special with a personalized menu wishing me a happy birthday! The ambiance at Jianna is chic and modern. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share which were yummy (see pics). I chose the gnocchi dish for dinner and ate every scrap Our server was on the ball offering drinks as needed and encouraging menu inquiries. Great memorable birthday with friends!

Honestly, all of the staff we encountered were so helpful, I was very impressed. The bar area is first come, first served. The oysters were fresh and I was given the choice for the sizes of them. The mignonettes were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a burger to share so they cut it in half for us and split the side of fries as well. That was the nicest gesture! The burger is made of two smashed patties with American cheese, garlic confit aioli, and diced caramelized onions. Absolutely delicious! The patty was seasoned and tender. The aoili and onions paired so well together. I can't wait to return for this and dinner service. Fries were fresh and crispy. My only complaint is the excess grease was sitting in the bottom of the metal container, so maybe a piece of paper or something at the bottom could help. Coconut espresso martini was also delicious. I don't like coconut, but the flavor of it was very subtle. Definitely will be returning!

An amazing patio overlooking one of the main streets of downtown Greenville, with a cozy interior ambiance as well. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable of the local food, drinks and their amazing wine selection. Soby's just won the Wine Spectator Grand Award (highest possible) and a Michelin recommended restaurant for 2025. And it shows. We didn't get any wine this evening, but the menu is as thick as a long novel. Anything and everything is in this puppy. Wines from all over the world, ranging from a few bucks to over $13,000 a bottle. Take your pick. We opted for some beer and cocktails, all of which were perfect. The food. This southern inspired menu with local ingredients was fantastic. We had a spicy pimento cheese app with crispy pita and pickled okra...delish! The beet and goat cheese salad was one of the best we've had. The pic speaks for itself there. The Soby's fried chicken is something you HAVE to get if you go. The best fried chicken, with the best bacon mac n cheese to complement it. Tender and juicy, crispy and flavorful...these words don't even scratch the surface of how good this dish was. Top notch experience all around. Make it a point to try it out if you haven't yet, or if you're in town for a visit. And definitely get that chicken dish, yo won't regret it.

Verdict: Come for the ambience and the white chocolate banana cream pie, stay for the gravy, and…read morehope your eggs don't spend too long in the "spotlight." Soby's serves Southern charm before the food even hits the table. (And if your experience is anything like mine, you will be waiting awhile for the food to hit the table.) Weathered wood beams stretch overhead, brick walls hold decades of character, and the warm lighting makes the whole room glow like butter on a hot biscuit. The kitchen hums with the kind of energy that says brunch is serious business. If you sit upstairs at the loft, there are some seats that overlook the kitchen so it's like brunch and a show. The pecan sticky bun is sweet enough to make you reconsider sharing though I wouldn't know because they ran out of it before 11:00a. Service was friendly and quick on the front end, though the kitchen's food expeditors seemed a little short-handed. The result? A slight wait that left some eggs spending a bit too much quality time under the heat lamps. My Shakshuka dish had an egg-istential crisis. Instead of that luscious over-easy river of yolk, the eggs arrived closer to hard-boiled territory--less "runny brunch bliss" and more "deviled egg audition." Thankfully, our waiter expedited another over easy egg to replace the one that came with my dish. The Providence Farm Country Fried Steak was the undeniable headliner--about 1.5 inches thick and fried to golden perfection. Smothered in sausage gravy, it was the kind of dish that makes cardiologists nervously flip through their calendars. The flavor? Steak-ing its claim as one of the better country fried steaks around. The sunny-side egg, however, had clearly spent a little too long basking beneath the warming lights alongside my shakshuka. But, if you come for one thing only, let it be the white chocolate banana cream pie. As I've heard Southern Belles say in gest, "it'll make you wanna slap your mama." In short: rustic atmosphere, an energetic kitchen, and Southern food that doesn't just butter you up--it grits straight to the point.
