10/10 we can't wait to go back and to try the Radnor location…read more My husband ordered the Old Fashioned and said it didn't disappoint; I ordered the Rose Gold because I love any cocktail with passionfruit. We came specifically to try the tapas and loved every dish we ordered. My husband's favorite was the Gambas al Ajillo. He loved it so much that he ordered a second plate immediately after finishing the first. I couldn't decide between the Bruselas Catalana and the Coca de Alcachofas, loved both, and would definitely order both again. The overall experience exceeded our expectations and was totally worth the visit.

The ambiance of Amada's is very "date night intimate". The lighting is fairly dim and the temperature of the restaurant is kept a bit warmer (the open marches concept probably also has something to do with that). It is tapas style so whole my boyfriend and I waited for the paella, we got a few plates to graze on. We started with a charcuterie with the jamon Serrano and manchego cheese. Im a big fan of truffle honey and you can't really go wrong with a simple charcuterie. We also got the setas and ensalada Verde. The mushrooms were well sautéed and the sauce they were served with was absolutely delicious. The ensalada verde was very much green heavy but thats exactly what we wanted. It was auite refreshing and the oil dressing wasn't overpowering the taste or making it feel greasy. The Paella we got was the squid ink rice - very flavorful. There was shrimp, clams, squid, and chucks of monk fish. It didn't feel like the seafood was skimped on. The only thing I personally felt was too much was the spicy mayo dallops. I felt like they made the dish feel heavier than necessary and overpowered the taste of the rice. The arroz con Leche was divine. Im biased because I love rice pudding but I think adding the puffed rice on touch was such a nice touch.

Such a surprisingly pleasant little cafe-style Spanish restaurant! My friend and I came here for…read moredinner for a girls' night and both got the $35 tasting menu. I was expecting a decent amount of food, but this was SO much food for a tasting menu. We couldn't even finish everything. The tasting menu came with 6 different dishes, so it was a really fun way to try a bunch of things. First were the boquerones in olive oil with bread. The anchovies were fresh tasting and pleasantly briny without being overwhelmingly fishy. And they give you SO much olive oil. They also brought us more bread, which was honestly perfect because I was absolutely going to use that bread to soak up every last drop of the olive oil. Then came the garlic and tomato topped baguette. Simple but really good. The garlic and tomato gave the bread a ton of flavor without being too heavy. The fried potatoes were another favorite. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and just really satisfying. Definitely the kind of thing you keep reaching for even after you've told yourself you're full. The jamón croquetas were delicious too. Crispy golden outside with that creamy, savory filling inside and little bits of jamón throughout. Rich, but in a good way. Then we had the shrimp in garlic. This wasn't really a sauce situation, but more of the shrimp sitting in all that garlicky, flavorful oil. The shrimp were tender and the garlic-infused oil was basically begging to be eaten with bread. Which, obviously, we did. For dessert, my friend got the rice pudding and I got the flan. The rice pudding was VERY fall to me. Creamy, comforting, and full of cinnamon, with that warm spiced flavor that makes you want to eat it while wearing a sweater. My flan was perfect. Smooth, creamy, delicate, and not overly sweet. Just the right amount of caramel flavor. Honestly, the amount of food was kind of ridiculous for $35. Six dishes plus dessert, and everything felt fresh and flavorful. There was also a really nice variety, so it never felt like we were just eating six versions of the same thing. The restaurant itself is also PERFECT for pictures. Everything is so thoughtfully decorated, from the walls to all the little details around the space. My friend and I definitely took a bunch of pictures because we couldn't resist. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and service was surprisingly fast. They were also generous with the bread, which I appreciated because, again, I needed that bread for the olive oil situation. And it's BYOB! So if you want alcohol with dinner, you can just bring whatever you actually want instead of being limited to a restaurant drink menu. Overall, this was such a lovely girls' night dinner. Fresh food, lots of flavor, a really nice variety, generous portions, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and a price that felt very reasonable for how much food we got. 10/10 recommend. I honestly wasn't expecting to like it this much, but this was a really enjoyable meal from beginning to end. Definitely coming back.

Now the food... As soon as they bought the first appetizer (morcillas) we felt the island culinary richness. The alcapurrias, OMG as perfect as they can be and if you know what this are, you understand the complexity of getting it right, the Rellenos de Papas, different on the outside but the same rich savory flavor. Pernil (pork) was moist, not greasy and well-seasoned, tasteful cuerito. Default on the side was the Mayo-ketchup for the salad, how more Puerto Rican could it get? The tostones were fried to perfection with mashed garlic on top. The chuletas smelled like chicharron just the right amount of tenderness, flavorful with the crispy edges. The arroz blanco, habichuelas and carne guisada (rice & beans with beef stew) bring back our mothers and grandmothers' taste to the mouth. Cuajito, now we knew we had to take our hats off for the authentic incredibly good taste. Is not a place for selfies but to eat excellent traditional Puerto Rican food, so if you're in Philadelphia or nearby I highly recommend you stop here and get the true taste of Puerto Rico!!!!!
