I really wanted to love this place -- they've got some very pretty jewelry. Unfortunately, I've had a terrible experience. I brought them a ring that was passed down to me from my grandmother after one of the diamonds fell out. They suggested I get the entire ring re-pronged to avoid losing any more (with white gold rather than the platinum of the original prongs). When I got the ring back, the replacement diamond was noticeably smaller than the rest (pic below) and the new prongs were catching on everything. I went back to the store to discuss the issue. They agreed that the diamond wasn't a great fit and said they'd search for a replacement, which was both frustrating and encouraging -- if the diamond was too small, why would they put it in the ring at all? Either way, I appreciated that they were willing to fix the problem. After I'd heard nothing for 3 weeks, I called to follow up. They told me the diamond was a very unique size, and because of that, they were still searching and would get back to me the following week. That was 3 weeks ago now. I lost another diamond from the ring two days ago. I don't think I'm particularly hard on rings. I've worn this one every day for almost 20 years without issue, so I can't imagine why a 6-week-old prong would fall off. The original ones lasted 60 years! What a waste of $1500, not to mention what I'll have to pay someone else to redo the prongs and find TWO matching diamonds. Would definitely avoid this place for jewelry repairs. read more

I needed to get my engagement ring resized and my fiance had ordered it from a small business in California and I am too impatient to actually send it out and wait for the ring to come back. So I asked my cousin who used to work in the jewelry business told me to check out Jewelfire. She has heard good things about them. I went in and my ring actually was almost a size too big for me so thankfully I brought it in when I did. Honestly, I should have brought it in a few weeks ago haha. But I was enjoying my engagement ring. Christina helped me out and measured my fingers with the sizer. We decided on a good size for my finger then told me it would be ready tomorrow or the next day at the latest. I dropped my ring off around 3:15-ish or maybe 3:30, I went directly after work so who really knows the actual time i got there lol. So I was expecting to be without my ring for 1-2 days. I was like okay cool, still better than waiting 1-2 weeks to ship it to California and then have them ship it back to me. This just eliminated all that trouble. And it cost $60, even with a free resizing if I had shipped it to the jeweler my fiance had purchased from, I will take a day over a few weeks. It was totally worth paying for. Anyways, I get a phone call around 5:30 that my ring was ready for pick up. Like what? They had quoted me 1-2 days and here they are calling me 2 hours later to pick up my ring. To say my jaw dropped with that speed. Wow!! I went to pick it up. They had me try it on to see if it fit. And wow, the difference was amazing! My ring actually fits now comfortably! My husband and I discovered Jewelfire Diamonds 20 some years ago when they were at the Southglenn Mall, before they moved north (Arvada store). It wasn't until I needed a lost sapphire replaced in my wedding ring that we found they were still in business (albeit 20 miles north of us) and Grant was still the owner! The impression he left 20 years ago was enough to encourage us to make the 40 mile round trip and we are very happy we did. Not only did he replace the lost sapphire, but he actually improved the overall look of the ring and at a very fair price. We also had him check and rebuild the prongs on my mother's (now mine) 70 plus year old wedding ring, and repair my husband's wedding ring. They didn't have a lot of settings so I ordered one that she said would be ready in my timeframe, definitely within 7 days at the very latest but they rarely took that long. I called back 8 days later since I hadn't gotten a call. Oh, surprise, that one is back ordered but it should be here with 2 weeks...! What part of I need it in week didn't get understood? My wife took my necklace in about a month and a half ago got a written estimate was told that the repair would cost X amount of dollars and that they would replace the clasp but with a larger clasp that would be more durable and would be least likely to be damaged in the future We take the necklace in this week for the repair, go to pick it up today and it has the tiny little clasp that it had before and the soldering work was so rough you could see the grip marks in the gold on the clasp Not only did they not repair it with the part that they said they would they did a really rough job on it There is either stuff that needed to be filed down or from what I could see it was gripped with some sort of tool and they mashed part of it to where it's super thin and just going to break again well when she question them about it they gave her the option of spending another 50 to fix it right don't waste your time going there because they don't honor their word or do the quality work that they should do after they're paid and it's not up to par I would give them zero stars had I been there read more

A few days later I went and picked it up and it was beautiful. THEN 3 weeks later--off pops the setting. I went in to get my money back and they said no...I said but you didnt fix it.
