I have gone twice to this jewel friday January 9th and today Monday the 12th. The deli counter is the worst. Friday half the lunch meat was out of stock at 5:00 pm with one older lady working. I go Monday for Cheap Chicken Monday at 12:15 pm and they are out!!!! What is wrong with this Jewel??? read more

Worst Jewel I have ever been in .Friday night and were out of almost every sale item . The fresh meat counter was completely empty. Nobody around to even help . Sale items in dairy and farmstand almost completely empty. I went in to 4650 West 103rd , like a totally different company. Can not believe two stores that close can be so different. If this merger goes through, Alsip should go ASAP. read more

Disappointing , the delivery i received from this location. The delivery driver gave some of my order to someone else. Called there at least 5x. I told the manager I wanted the 1lb of cheese and the 2 sugar-free coffee creamers delivered later that was missing out of the delivery. I received a refund on the cheese and one creamer. I have to now place another order from Jewels in Merrionette Park for creamer and cheese. Pay another 3.95 delivery charge not included tip. read more

Alsip Jewel is the worst Jewel in the area. How is the Alsip Jewel store still open? Put in an order for delivery in 24 hours (yes they had 24 hours to fill the order) - to be delivered 12/21 between 8-9 PM - 4 days before Christmas I receive a message that my delivery is running late and I'll be notified when it's on its way (FYI: my account still states this) - at 930 PM I request a chat (Jewels preferred communication) - after waiting 40 minutes I'm told my order was actually cancelled - Huh? if I wanted to know why I would have to call the store WTF! then I'm setting up new order I find that $101.00 (includes delivery tip) already went thru my bank!!!! To find out about my money I have to call a number to cancel my yearly subscription for refund I have to call a different number! This isn't the 1st issue I've had with them. I went in here recently. It was a nice experience. Staffs are friendly and selection are well-stocked. I was able to get all the groceries that I needed. It is nice to know that they are keeping up because I've been going hear for a lot of times that I can remember and there are times that my experience was so bad to the point that I got pissed. Well back to my review. There are lot of good things that they offer. They maintain a fresh selection of fruits and veggies. Other selections like meat, deli, bakery and dry goodies are nice as well. Few international products are also available inside because I noticed Asian products. It is also great that they are open until midnight. I remember one time, it was almost 11 in the evening when I needed a particular product and I was able to get it from them. Prices are fair and reasonable too. Parking is huge and easy to manage. read more

buyer beware!!!!! i placed an order on 5/3/25 around 5pm due for delivery between 7-8 pm of course my order never arrived to my home. i have security cameras and they were checked and no delivery. also i had surgery and had to endure pain all night because i was waiting for my food items and my fluids ordered. and let me tell you the representatives at jewel could care less! i have spoken with six different representives 2 at the local jewel including a manager in the delivery dept that stated it happens all the time, and 4 additional reps including a corporate supervisor and after an order that included 22 items, tipping, delivery charge and being promised my order at 7 am this morning 5/4/25 and it's now 9:47 am and still no order trust me jewel could care less. the lies and disregard for a long time customer is beyond acceptable. please i would advise anyone to not take the risk of spending a dime with jewel take your money elsewhere. and this is in chicago, il buyer please beware!!!! if i could give it a zero rating i would and then the delivery manager michelle said she would have the store manager call me back and still after more than 2 hours no one ever called. read more

When my grandma ordered they raised the prices by 10 dollars.she ordered again and she said no substitutes but they gave her 3 substitutes. She has to deal with this almost every time she orders from there. She's 80 get this lady some justice. read more

It's Jewel. It's a big chain store with lots of products. Meat isn't very good but the the produce and dairy sections are good. Grocery section is fine. My biggest complaint is with the integrity of the prices. I am routinely overcharged. The problem is that signs reflecting sales are either put up a day too early or taken down a day late. Also many times the signs are misleading. You may think that a product costs $1.99 when in reality the giant displayed price is stating that you are saving $1.99 with the real price being displayed in small, inconspicuous print. They remodeled about two years ago. Store layout is good. Parking lot is huge. read more

Ordered a cake for my nieces birthday. Since she wanted a Jojo Siwa cake, we had to special order. Ordered a half sheet, but once home, decided we would really only need a 1/4 sheet. Called 4 times, as bakery doesn't always answer their phones and waiting on hold for them for 10 minutes doesn't help get things done when you are preparing for a party. Finally get a hold of them and they "noted the order". Go to pick up the cake (sent my sister so I can get last minute things done). This is what she comes back with. Not the size we wanted, but that's fine. It won't go to waste. BUT, the decal (or whatever it's called in the cake world) is LIFTING OFF THE CAKE!!! It looked much worse up close than it does in the photos. This is definitely not worth the $40 I paid for it. I live jewel cake, but I'll stick with their pre-decorated ones. read more

This place has the best staff ever! The people working at their store is so friendly, helpful, and attentive. All of them are professional, they all know how to manage all of their customers, and treat the customers so well. What a great people. Their place is always clean, organized, and well-sorted. You can easily find everything you need and things you are really looking for. They almost have everything we need and want. I really love their products, their pricing is so great, and you can definitely save a lot of money here than buying at other stores. Very convenient place. This Jewel is so huge, they have parking lot, and they also have clean public restrooms around the place. You will be comfortable and feel relax at this Jewel. I have been coming here to this Jewel store for the last few months to kill time while my son is in Tae Kwon Do at Master Yoon's down the street. The produce department is always immaculate, well organized, and the food is always fresh. Most workers have seemed professional and friendly. There have been a few that looked like they hate life, but this is unavoidable in today's culture. Overall, super happy to come here. Love the different sales. Great liquor section. Excellent ethnic (Jewish/Asian/Latino) sections too. Huge freezer food/pizza/dessert section, very clean and organized, well stocked. Great store. Love coming here to shop regularly. read more

The workers there are all mostly new, and they have very disgruntled attitudes, this used to be my favorite jewel, it will be a long time before I go there. I don't think they even realize that by using the self check out lines ? ‍ they will be eventually let go. It's too bad used to be a good place. read more

If I could leave no stars I would, went in today to pick up a few things, I have asthma and cannot wear a mask, the cashier, who also said she was the manager wasn't going to ring up my items without a doctors note, I told her that was ridiculous and if she needed proof, she could check with the pharmacy to see that I have prescriptions for it. I'm tired of these gestapo tactics, there is no law on the books making masks mandatory, only a recommendation when we can't maintain a 6' distance. She finally rang up my order, I was so upset that I had an asthma attack on the way to my car, I'll never set foot in another Jewel again! read more
