This is the most sophisticated and well designed grocery store I've ever seen- in the world. By far. Its focus seems to reflect the community and the community needs. I am very impressed, not only how clean the store is, how well stocked it is. It's super organized, and very pleasing to the eye. The signage is incredible- and clearly defines each area; making it very easy for the shopper. The products they offer- I haven't seen them in other stores. Many unique items. Some of the low star reviews of this place are just ludicrous. How spoiled and entitled can you be? I have loved every Pete's I've ever shopped at and I've been going to them since the early 2000s, when I discovered one on 47th street in Chicago totally by chance. It's worth shopping at a Pete's for the produce alone. Nobody has the selection and quality they have. This location is no different! And they always have people out refreshing and restocking it. You can find Mexican stuff (nopales, chayote, etc.) Indian, Polish and Russian stuff, and this particular store has a huge selection of Middle Eastern stuff on hand. The fish counter is large and clean and has a nice choice of the more common fish plus stuff you won't find at Jewel or Mariano's. The deli is excellent and meat counter is too. They have a huge hot foods area, bakery... how can anyone complain about this place? When they're crowded the cashiers keep things moving at a good pace so you're not backing up too badly. Their prices seem perfectly competitive to me. Produce tends to be affordable. If you don't like the price then shop around and buy the old wilted crap from Jewel for 5 cents less per pound. read more

I love this grocery store! The produce is always fresh looking, the place is clean and it's just beautiful! The meat department has all sorts of meat and can find obscure cuts, same goes for the deli. They have a great selection of Middle Eastern food, a heck of a selection of other international all foods, and the juices that are fresh made there are FANTASTIC! Fruits and veggies are always inexpensive. Meats and cheeses are plentiful and also inexpensive. This is a very large store, always clean, and I can find what I'm looking for. I am really disappointed in the management of Pete's at the Bridge view location. I usually shop there for all my middle eastern groceries and specially around the holidays. It seems the management does not think that the Christian Arabs are worthy of a middle eastern products sale to enjoy for our Christmas celebration. I say this because I see the management festive and happy spirit around the Islamic celebrations and Holidays. Really liked this supermarket - and I do mean super. We've been to many grocery stores and even some other Pete's, but this one in Bridgeview must hold the record. It is gigantic. And once inside, you'll find narrow aisles so they can cram even more stuff in here. And talk about selection... When you enter the building you are greeted with a very large fresh fruit and vegetable (FFV) section that spans the depth of the store...and they carry some FFV I've never heard of. As you work your way around you'll see some of the aisles have signage specifically showing what nationality of food you are browsing. There are Polish aisles, French space, Romanian, Greek, Middle Eastern, etc. etc. It is very comforting for many to see the foods they became used to in their old country. This was a lot of fun traveling up and down the store for shopping. They cater to most of the nationalities you can think of - and it really seemed like a United Nations store. They have the usual prepared food bars (a la Whole Foods/Mariano's) where you can pick and pack yourself a meal with scores of choices. They have a large bakery, numerous deli-meat selections, Halal foods, fresh fish and seafood, and you can just about name anything else. Now with such a large selection of items, you have to be sure to check dates and quality before you leave ... but that just makes sense. They had many service people restocking the shelves so you know they move product. On exit you'll notice they have dozens of check out aisles and registers, and they are all being operated so you don't wait in line much. They accept credit cards and cash. They even have a little cafe/eating area on the south end of the building should you want to get a bite to eat or if you are just waiting for someone. All in all, fun place. read more

I had very bad experience in this store today. I heard from my friends, that they were cheated by the cashiers in this store, but I never expected, that I will be one of that cheeted costumers. I was second in the line to check my groceries, and after the previous costumer left, I was next, across to the cashier. I saw on the monitor triple $34.99 charges, and I was wondering, if the cashier will remove that numbers. She didn't. She started to scan my groceries, and on the end, my balance was $273.82. Way to much for my shopping. I told her, that something is not right, and she need to check my groceries again. She looked very confused. Finally she checked my things again, and my balance was $166.43! Since I heard before about similiar situations in this store from other people, I decided to talk to store manager. Finally I spoke with 2 different people, trying to explain me, that this is nothing to worry about, that they are very busy today having many costumers, they didn't, and more bla bla bla. Menagers didn't apologize at all, the cashier did. One of managers, Jimmy, I believe, told me, then next time, when I will come back for shopping, he will invite me for lunch because of this situation. No way. Pete's fresh Market is a great place to go for your fresh fruit and vegetables. Not only do they have a huge selection of fruits and vegetables they also seem to have pretty good customer service. Everywhere I looked in the store I saw a friendly, helpful, smiling face. Everyone who worked there was more than willing to help anyone if they needed anything. If you need fresh produce and you are in the area, this is a great place to visit. They aren't cheap by any means but if you want fresh produce you have to pay for quality. This store has almost anything you can think of, they have a lot of the same things your regular grocery store would have but they have MORE and a better selection of fresh produce. They also have a huge parking lot and they are located near Walmart and a few other stores in case you need something they don't have or in case you want to save a few bucks. This used to be my absolute favorite grocery store after Fresh Farms International Market in Niles, IL broke my heart by devastatingly ruining their product quality. Haven't been back since. Yes, I'll travel for good groceries. Food is life. Now Pete's Fresh Market #11 in Bridgeview, IL has ruined it for me with 3 devastating changes. (I'm aware it's happening company wide) 1. They REMOVED BUTCHERS (now everything is prepackaged) 2. They REMOVED FISH CUTTERS (now everything is prepackaged) 3. They've inexplicably increased their prices unreasonably even considering inflation; Pete's prices are still highly exaggerated moreso than any other grocery store. Some prices are higher than Whole Foods and Mariano's if you can imagine that I still gave them a shot when they increased their prices, I simply didn't buy things I could get significantly cheaper at... Jewel, Tony's, Aldi, Fairplay, Wal-Mart, etc... like cereal, coffee creamer, nuts, bread, juice, etc. wherever the sale is. I only bought fresh produce, meats and seafood at Pete's for quality purposes. However, this thing with removing the meat and seafood counter is unacceptable. Their model screams price gouging and removing services for their own convenience and profit. They forgot about the customers that bring them their profits. Like you weren't already making money?! You've got various locations through the damn state of Illinois, 17 to be exact for now! Clearly, you're doing just fine with profits. To think, you're a local company. I never said they were fired (maybe you simply failed to read every word). Duh! Who's gonna prepack the meat and seafood for you?! Of course they're still there, in the BACK! Butchers and fish cutters bring knowledge and experience to consumers, unique to the rest of your employees. It's a dying sight to see in the food industry and your company has added to that slow death. Not everyone, wants to ask any emplyee at random to get help in hopes to get a butcher or a fish cutter to stop what they're doing to eventually come out and help them. They just won't bother. Out of sight out of mind. Too much hassle, it's easier to go elsewhere to get that specialty service. Jack & Pat's butcher shop is practically 5 minutes away, with a 4.9 Google rating and a 4.5 Yelp rating. Seriously, do not play the word game with me or anyone for that matter. Their prices have skyrocketed and they have conveniently left the price tags off some of their produce. In April of 2022, were were charged over $12 for a bag of grapes. Approximately double what they're charging at other nearby stores. The prices on the meat there have also risen dramatically over the years, compared to other stores. read more

This Pete's is my favorite by far. Everyone is helpful and the quality of the food is great. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Fresh guacamole ready to purchase. The Sushi Bar is my daughter's favorite stopping place. We always get something from this counter!!! Fresh tasting and we are always happy. A friend told me not to go in this grocery store because according to him this was the worst spot and I am curious so I decided to visit it. I was already inside and I am thinking that my friend is probably lying about what he said because the store seems really fine overall. It is clean and quite organized. Every selection I saw is well-stocked and there are few selections that are almost out of stock. The produce and meat selection seems fresh too. I ended up buying few groceries because their selection is nice and at the same time fair and reasonably priced. The staffs are a bit friendly and I also bought a salad from their salad bar and it is fresh and tastes fine. I was in the neighborhood and needed a few items so decided to stop at this Bridgeview location. Honestly felt like I was at a Mariano's (that's not a compliment) Felt so out of place, after struggling to find a few of my favorite Mexican items, I headed to the register where the cashier was pretty blunt. I had to greet her to which she just looked at me and told me my total. No customer service whatsoever. As I'm getting home I realized that I was over charged for some tomatoes that I bought.
