Went on an hour long tour with my boyfriend after being surprised with vouchers for Jetty Jumpers. IT WAS AWESOME! I didn't even know they had jet-skiing in Brooklyn! This was my first time jet-skiing and I was really nervous about what to expect. Had a quick run through of how to control the jet-ski and then we were off! I had an AMAZING time! I was able to max out at about 51 mph and had such a great experience touring along the coast of the Coney Island and Manhattan beaches! Joe was awesome and let us have free reign once we were in the clear to take off! We met some cool dudes and were able to ride around with them. We got a chance to get off and swim around too. Experiencing Coney Island beach from out in the water was really cool :) It was just all around great fun and really exhilarating! I would definitely go again! =) read more

I have now went here twice, and my first experience was definitely not a fluke. This place really is great! The first time, I went with my girlfriend and the second time with her and my friend. I have been jet-skiing in Jamaica, Turks, Staten Island and now Brooklyn. I had no idea that this place even existed though I am certainly glad to have found them. Both times I was lucky enough to have Joe as the one leading our group and he is genuinely just a nice/cool dude. He tells you all the info you need, is always around while you are in the water in case you have questions, and will give you tips on standing up for more speed. This last time I went I also met Anthony who I think runs the place. Also, a really nice guy. You can't go wrong here: these people are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I had an amazing time at Jetty Jumpers. I personally love going out on Wave Runners, and couldn't think of a better experience than doing it on the Hudson and seeing/experiencing all of the great sites in NYC. I do have experience in Wave Runners, so for me it was just a hop on and go. As someone that has ridden before, I loved that the tour guide gave us "space" to ride as we wished in between points. The main reason I don't like horseback riding is because they always treat you like it's your first time and you never get to really "open it up". This instance is nothing like that! The majority of the time I was topping out (40-45mph) and had freedom to ride as I wish. I do agree with Christine D. that if it was your first time, it could be absolutely terrifying. There was little instruction, but then again, most of the experience and getting better requires you to ride for a period of time. The waters are quite choppy though, so I don't recommend this for first timers. It's much easier to learn how to ride on calm waters like a lake with little boat traffic. Here, you are riding in the waters with huge barges and tour ships with wake up to 6ft. So I do agree with Christine D. that if you go, I suggest you have ridden a Wave Runner before this experience. My wife has not ridden before, and I am very glad she decided to let this just be a fun day out for me as she would've panicked. Much like Christine D. First time doing a jet ski tour today and boy did I get lucky with the place I chose. At first was looking at NYC Harbor in Jersey but they were very unresponsive and unreliable. With Jetty Jumpers I immediately got an RSVP date and had no issues with money nor scheduling. I had scheduled for Thursday but the weather was gloomy and there was no problem rescheduling to the weekend, when it was much sunnier. We arrived early, which I recommend, and had lots of time to put on the wetsuits and shoes they supply you with. Anthony was our tour guide and he was just a stellar guy. Super nice, easygoing, and flexible. He showed me and my boyfriend how to use the jet ski (Waverunner) and we were off. It is late May, so the water is quite cold this time of year. If you can, go later on in the summer. But other than that it was an AMAZING overall experience. The jet ski worked great (brand new), the view was amazing, we were able to go fast hitting like 50mph out in the open waters and 60mph in the back closer to the marina. We saw Coney Island and the Verrazano Bridge. Anthony told us a bit about the local area. Funny, really nice guy. He even took some pictures for us! Definitely worth the price for 1 hour. Will be coming back again for sure!! read more

We ordered a tour for my birthday on a Tuesday morning. Since the afternoon was suppose to rain, we decided on a morning tour. We spoke to the manager the prior day and agreed to meet at the Marina at 7am. We arrived at exactly 7am and NO ONE was there. We called 10 times and no one picked up until the manager from the day prior called us back to inform us we woke her up!!!! Apparently her boss and her decided to cancel the trip given the fact that a small craft advisory was issued that morning and NOT inform us about it!! Apparently they had a MISCOMMUNICATION and they assumed that one of them told us about it. The unprofessional manager continued to tell me that she only gets paid from 9am and does not set an alarm beforehand even though there are tours going out as early as 7:30. She was rude and unprofessional to tell us because she doesn't get paid before 9 this happened. This place ruined my plans for my birthday and we woke up at 6am for nothing!! read more

Scheduled my trip for a bachelor party. I was in NYC. They canceled. The girl canceling was full of it saying that sheeps head bay was closed due to flooding. It was not raining. I went through the Living Social deal and had a great time! I'd never been jet skiing before, but they were really patient in helping us get going and just all around nice people. And once we got out there, there was plenty of time to play around. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be going back again. read more

Dealing with the people who operate this business is a major pain. Our trip was scheduled for the first weekend in August. They canceled an hour before our appointment because there was a 20% chance of rain, we were were coming from NJ so were in Queens by the time they canceled on us. That day turned out to be warm and beautiful, no rain. Our rescheduled date was also canceled, but this time they gave us a days notice, that was the weekend of the big hurricane so it was legitimate. Two months later we finally got to go on our trip, but by this time of the year it was freezing out. The ride itself was fun aside from the cold. The jet ski is not hard to operate, but they offered no real instruction or safety precautions. The main reason for one star is we paid an additional $50 for them to take pictures of us. It is now six months later, after repeated emails since about two weeks after the trip (when they said the pictures would be ready) the person who took us on the trip, Lena, no longer works for the company and the photos are no where to be found. I asked for a refund and my emails have gone unanswered. read more

My boyfriend and I booked the 3 Hour New York City Jet Ski Tour for my birthday. I wanted to do something out of the box and adventurous and we were not disappointed. It was a beautiful day, an awesome experience, and so much fun whizzing passed the Statue tour boats and the picnickers on the Promenade, not to mention the indescribable feeling of connection to the city, past and present. This placed really helped my boyfriend to impress me on our date. It was unlike any experience I ever encountered. Not only are you accompanied by funny guide but the sights are amazing. I never saw New York's boroughs from the water and I must say it was great. at first, we started out in Brooklyn with our first stop was just off the shore of Coney Island with the Wonder Wheel in view. We then made our way to the Verrazano Bridge to hang out there for 5-10 minutes and then made our way to lower Manhattan around the Statue of Liberty, after that it was down the east river to the Brooklyn Bridge. I must say it really was pretty cool to see New York City from this point of view.and jetting across the water and jumping off the waves made by all the other boats in the East River. You have complete control of your jet ski. The guide is on his own jet ski and you follow along on your own and when you take breaks at each landmark, he takes pictures for you. My boyfriend and I were riding 2 up on one jet ski. The tour was about 2.5 hours but it seemed shorter because we were having so much fun! read more

Best time ever and the absolute best way to see NYC!!! Went out this past weekend for the 3 hour tour... these guys were pros. Called and spoke with Jen to set up a special birthday ride with my significant other... She was super quick and called me back when a party cancelled and 2 spots became available for the busy Labor Day weekend. The price was very reasonable given the awesome experience and memorable day. The jet skis really pick up some good speed (about 50 mph) and Chris (our guide) was friendly and awesome, giving us pointers on how to properly ride stand up and have a smoother ride. So happy we choose to get the $50 photo pack.... Some other couples choose to take their own photos which ended up pretty much all being selfies (arm in the photo, part of a jet ski, can't see much, you get it). Chris sent about 40+ photos to us the next day (at all the main sites and they were crisp and great photos). Overall GREAT experience! Also had a great convo with the owner when we got back to shore. This was a great experience! My friend and I had jet skiing on our bucketlist for the past 3 summers and finally checked it off. From the initial phone call to make the reservation until we were back in the car, everything was just awesome. Adam was our guide and he was great. He took our picture by the major sites hay we past and then texted them to us after. Overall, would definitely recommend for a thrill and a great way to see sites you've only ever seen from land. read more

WARNING Save your money and DO NOT come to this place. The machines are not well maintained (As we were riding lights kept flashing and warning signals kept beeping) The reply I received when I told one of these guys about the machine not working properly and warning light flashing was "it's ok the light is broken". Did not feel safe at all. It wasn't the warmest day when we were there. That isn't anyone's fault. What is though is the fact that they DID NOT HAVE any wet suits. I am not overweight by any means nor am I the skinniest man either. I am not a body builder for that matter either. When they did not have a suit for me was "Ha, Ha, your a big guy." (I am 5-10 185.) so if you are that big make sure you go on a very hot day. As we are in the middle of our money waisting experience my girlfriend repeatedly kept saying how cold she was. The guy leading the group was wearing a wet suit and also wearing some type of water proof hoody and a pair of goggles. At one point it was so cold for her she expressed her feelings to the tour guide and he told her "come on it's not that bad an we are almost at the bridge." She replies to him "If I was wearing all the gear you are I wouldn't be cold either. Let me wear the hoody" He looked at her and told her, "NO. What am I going to wear" (So much for chivalry.) (Feel bad for his girlfriend). At the end of the day it is your choice to go or not. This company is very poorly run. They do not have the proper gear and there equipment is flakey at best and not safe at all. Oh. I almost forgot this one last note. One the situation with the hoody accrued we turned around and went back. We were on a tour for an hour and a half. We returned to the dock in 50 mins from the beginning of our tour. We asked for them to pro rate us or at least just charge us for the hour and not the hour and a half. We were told "NO. You were warned about the weather. It isn't out fault." Now I am not an idiot. I completely agree about the weather not being there fault BUT, isn't them not having wet suits that fit or not having gear for the temperature there fault? You decide. Good Luck. read more

I took my husband on a 3 hour jet ski trip for his birthday. Our guide, Brian was very nice. However, when it was time to pay afterwards, the owner, Anthony said we had to pay extra $50 for the pictures. I remember they did make an announcement when we were getting ready for our jet ski tour, but did not know you HAD to tell them "No Pictures" so they wouldn't charge you. I asked Anthony to see our pictures, he showed me his iphone pictures of other people and said, "See? My iphone takes good pictures." Also, Anthony brought us to this bar where it had an ATM. He wanted us to pay him the balance ($350 - including the photo charge) in CASH because his credit card machine wasn't working. My husband had a good time during the tour, but make sure you tell them you do not want your pictures taken before you take off, bring cash with you to pay the balance and ask how many people will join you for the tour. We had a total of 10 people and these russian tourists were drinking booze and held up the rest of us because they couldn't catch up. If there was another jet ski tour company, I'd look elsewhere. read more
