Unfair Charge & No Response I rented a jet ski from this…read morecompany on 7/5/25 and had a terrible experience. During the ride, a wave caused the jet ski to flip -- something completely out of our control. Their own tour guide was the one who flipped it back upright, not us. We paid for the rental in cash and were not given a receipt, and the waiver was rushed with no explanation. A few days later, I was charged on my card for supposed "engine damage" -- with no proof, no photos, no mechanic report, and no response to my emails asking for documentation. They never contacted me before charging, and still haven't replied after. I've filed a dispute with my credit card and will be reporting them to consumer protection. Be very cautious renting here -- they seem to charge customers without showing any evidence. If you still rent from them, demand a receipt and photo-proof of the jet ski before and after.

Everything was smooth and seamless. Got to the rental facility and remembered what I read online which was that there was no parking onsite and you needed to find parking on a side street. Found parking and made our way to luge rental office. After the safety briefing we made our way to the water. Once we got out to the riding area the floodgates of fun were opened up and we had a blast!! Surprising how fast an hour goes by! Great spot, the guides are great and knowledgeable. Definitely will return and rent again.....if I don't buy my own ski, cause they gave me the itch! LOL. RENT HERE YOU WONT BE SORRY.

Took a one-hour harbor tour with my wife. I loved it! It's not what I thought it might be…read morepotentially, but once I experienced the natural limitations of imperfectly smooth water, I realized it could not be better. We had great weather (that's free!), friendly and safe guides, and a harbor that seemed uncrowded enough. We went on a Thursday, so the day ferries were busy moving commuters around, but we were the only personal watercraft on the water and we encountered a manageable number of NYFD boats, fishing boats, and luxury boats, I would only expect better if I were willing to (1) improve my own ride by becoming a jet ski expert, and (2) get on my own personal custom tour (which I did not pay for or set aside the time for). I also realized what folly it would be for a passenger to take video while moving at tour speed. You could do it, but the video would be bouncing all over the place and you might also lose your passenger after a rough wave. You would need that for full-time video, as the guides are paying more attention to safety and only taking pictures after they pause the tour. The one-tour gets you the meat of the harbor views - from up around 34th St of Manhattan and a view to the Empire State Building, to the Financial Center, Jersey City views, Lady Liberty, the Brooklyn Bride (and very close to the Williamsburg) and the South Street Seaport. It's great. Covering this ground and having any time for pictures requires speed. At one time, I think I was up to 45 knots in spurts, but generally just over 30. This will bang you around at times unless you're pretty skilled and have excellent throttle control. Mind you, I found my jet ski to have a very "tight" throttle as I describe it. It was like a small version of the brake on a ten-speed. I needed a strong tension to hold it, and changing position under high tension seemed to let it move too much. The jet ski would lurch. If they can get smoother throttles (can you get some like motorcycle throttles), that might make the riding less challenging. I paid for the pictures and got some. I wanted more pictures, but time is limited and these guys have to put awareness (safety) first and then progress on the tour second. I would suggest if you want a lot of photos, hire them for a private tour or a longer tour and you'll get more pictures. My wife is a real non-adventure/non-athletic person. She says she was literally praying to God before we even got there. Then she kept telling me to slow down. I can't blame her. I was surging and stopping, especially in the first 20-30 minutes as I got the hang of it. This experience can be a challenge for some who are fearful of everything. If they are like my wife, they eventually realize they won't die and it's actually safe as long as you are mindful of the surroundings. Of course, the guides do their part to hold you before traffic crosses, but sometimes you're widely spaced and you must use your own good judgment not to cut in front of the 30-foot luxury liner that for heading to open waters.

This was my first time on a jet ski and I was really excited! But I was nervous because I'm…read more.. kinda heavier... as is my husband, who never rode a jet ski either. I was put at ease pretty quickly because I saw lots of big and small people alike signing up. The staff was very nice to us (the staff is your ordinary "beachy type" of workers - a little rough around the edges but perfectly nice.) Onto the safety - you get a life jacket (I'm a 3x women's and they had one that fit me which was great). You also get a nice little lesson (5 min) where they explain how jet skis work, where your safety cord is, what to do if you fall off (which happened to my husband...more on this next) and where the buoy markers are that you need to stay near. Into the water - Two employees went out with our group of 6 and they were excellent! 2 out of 6 people fell off the jet skis. One was my husband which worried me, of course. I happened to have a whistle and I started blowing it immediately. I barely blew it once before, Dustin (?) Brandon(?) (cute employee) was already heading over at top speed and helped out, waived me off to let me know everything was fine. Later one other kid fell over the side of his jet ski and the other employee spotted him immediately, zoomed over and got him back on the jet ski without any issue. (The reason a few people fell was mainly because we went out when a storm was brewing, so the water was veryyy choppy). Also - don't be an idiot. Don't make sharp turns if you're new at this. Other notes: It was a little pricey at $160 for 30 min for 2 people (you could share one and pay less, but what fun is that?). You can wear some type of water shoe or secure sandal if you want to, but i went barefoot as did several other people. The place where you put your feet has rubberized grooves. Finally, don't forget to bring a towel! We forgot and drove home wet - not fun. I wouldn't recommend this for kids under 13-14. Overall, a great experience and I will plan to re-visit this place!
