The boat was very well kept and both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well. They even called Braco's to have them cook our catch when we go back to the dock. We ended up with appx 20-30 fluke (12 keepers) including a 10lb monster! Couldn't thank these guys enough and we look forward to hitting the waters with them again soon.

One of the trips was the best fluke fishing I have ever been involved in, with both big fish and a large number of fish being caught. Capt. Mike made good use of his knowledge of the fishing grounds and his array of electronics to put us on the fish time after time. On one of the trips I was fishing with two young cousins and Capt Mike and the mate were very patient with the boys, showing them how to fish and making it a great day for all. I highly recommend a fishing trip with the pros on The Codfather.

You won't find a better or more dedicated captain and crew anywhere. The regulars are friendly and welcoming. The trips run anywhere from full day fluke to three quarter day sea bass. Tuna season in the canyon is about to begin. This season we go deep sea in 125' of water. I've fished all over Long Island and I always come back to my friends at Capt Lou fleet!

This was the worst experience ever. I made reservations with this company for my 30th birthday to…read morego out on a boat. I received a phone call the morning of from the owner saying that the reservation would be delayed 4 hours ( from 11:00 am- to 2:00 pm) due to maintenance on the boat. When asked could I utilize another boat I was told that was the only one. After discussing with close family and friends ( which some traveled far distance, and took the day off work to attend), I decided to wait until 2:00 pm. Within that time frame I called back every hour to get the status on the matter and each time the owner stated he was told by the mechanic "to call back every half hour to see" despite the fact that he had already told me 2:00 pm would be the new timing. Finally I called back at almost 2:00 pm and was told by the owner once again, it was still not ready and he didn't know when it would be. At that point it was obvious that the reservation was not going to happen, after all those hours of waiting. I was completely humiliated. He showed no empathy or concern what so ever, despite the fact of my reservation and deposit , not even enough decency to recommend me to someone else.Each time his response was I don't know. It was such an embarrassing day for me to have every one there and have the plans flop like that. My 30th birthday was ruined!! Customer service was terrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Overall, it was a great experience. We've sailed before and will definitely sail again.

He takes just as good of care with his boat as he does with his clients, and is super accommodating. *The boat was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Had a microwave and stove! Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

I rode…read morehere the other day on my bike and just basked in the peaceful glory that is Milbourn Creek Park. On a quiet day, you can see fish literally jumping out of the water.. how cool is that?! It seems to be quite the interesting park, with activity randomly converging from all directions. You have folks pulling over for a short respite, bikers emerging out of the nearby trail, the occasional lay fisherman near the bridge and boaters loading or unloading for the day. It's really a special slice of calm along the busy Atlantic Ave.
