I like to try different types of pizzas and I had not tried Detroit style before. So on a "meatless Monday," and being in Fairview Hts. I tried Jets. I got the vegetarian pizza and a salad. It was a little pricey, but I don't mind paying more if the food is good. I felt it was worth every penny. My pizza was Detroit style, which is thick crust(I think you can get thin there too). I loved it. There was not much crust to it, and what crust there is on it was crisp and crunchy. Loved it. Not a sit down restaurant. Friendly and fast staff. The gluten free pizza was okay but not great. The salad was pretty good.

Is this pizza any good? Well I drive past 6 different pizza places just to order from Jet's. I've never gotten anything from here that I didn't like. The pizza is so good, and I am picky about pizza! I realized one of the employees making the pizzas wasn't wearing gloves. I watched him scratch his HEAD (not on purpose just a habit I'm sure) dig into all the toppings boxes placing them onto pizzas. Once I realized I immediately asked her what was the policy regarding wearing gloves she said they are not required to wear gloves when making the pizza because "the toppings sticks better without them" ........meanwhile the two other employees had gloves on and I didn't see them complaining about the toppings not "sticking", but I digress. I went and read jets pizza store policy once I left and it specifically says all jets pizza employees are required to wear gloves so I'm confused why this location doesn't follow the same protocol..So just giving a heads up to everyone that they are not required to wear gloves when preparing your food. She told me "even if there were germs the germs would be killed from the heat" although that is a fact still unacceptable in my opinion. I've seen with my own eyes Papa John's, Pizza Hut employees use gloves when making my pizza so that's where I will continue going. She was willing to give a refund, but the response was tacky and doesn't fall under Jets Pizza Safety Protocols or Health Standards. Definitely need to get everyone on the same page especially in a food service environment. Never know who will come in and observe. read more

Won't deliver to within 15 minutes of their location. Ever. Their system says they don't allow it. Seems like idiots are working the phone too. Quality of food has gone down. Seems like the people who work there are lazy. Last time I picked up something they wouldn't give me something I paid for. Had to argue. Don't recommend. read more

I was expecting a large deep dish pizza. What I got was a Detroit style pizza. It was fine just not what I was expecting. It was a little over baked. Maybe that is part of the style, I don't know. We ordered delivery to our hotel. The pizza is amazing!!! Out of our family of 6 we decided this was the best pizza we have had. We got the Hawaiian bbq pizza, which was full of toppings and tasted incredible and the kids had a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. read more

I was so upset when I left Ohio that there wasn't going to be a Jets Pizza..... but here we are right down the street from my house! Still great taste wings and pizza, I've even started trying the deep dish pizzas and they are delicious. String in our pizza crust, yea you read that correctly. STRING!!!! We've been going here for the last year, unfortunately after the order we received Wednesday, 8/2, we won't be going back. Bit into a slice and got a mouth full of string. Drove back up and the staff tried to say it was cheese. In what universe were we suppose to go along with that? The young lady working never apologized, played stupid but conveniently tried to throw the string away and our receipt. She refused to give us the managers name, insisting she was the top boss and when we ask for the full order to be refunded (39$ for a pizza and order of wings) for the inconvenience of having string in our food and driving back up she told us no. If we wanted a free meal why would I bring the pizza back... She gave us nothing but push back and never even apologized. It's really not that hard, even if you don't care, it's still clearly string. I tried Jet's tonight and I LOVED it! Having grown up in Detroit and then Chicago I thought I knew pizza. But I had never had Detroit style. Hey, I was just a kid. I didn't know it was a thing. Guess what. It is! And I like it! A lot! It will never replace Chicago pizza to me but it a very nice change from my usual. I loved the semi-crispy crust. The sauce was excellent. I usually make my own pies, Detroit style and Naples style pizza. The dough is not fermented long enough for it to have taste. The sauce and cheese is bland. This may be a spot for some people we wanted to give it a try and we were very disappointed in the taste and texture of the pizza. We tried the Detroit style. First time trying Jet's Pizza and it was very good! Next time we will pick it up ourselves since it wasn't as hot as I would like with getting delivery, but that is understandable. Ingredients were plentiful and fresh and I enjoyed the sauce. I would have enjoyed a little more cheese but that is just my preference. Very good, solid pizza! Jets is ok. I really wanted to like it. I get the deep dish from Little Caesar's. It's not amazing, but it's good. Here, I'm thinking Jets would be a lot better. It costs more. It's not better. It's good. Texture is 100% on point but flavor is king. The crust just does not taste like anything at all. I tried multiple time, months across. It's just not good.
