This is primarily a coal-fired pizza joint (hence the name) with a whole lot more to offer. Let's start with appetizers! I highly recommend the fried calamari, we sometimes order a second helping of it because it's just that good! The soups and salads are freshly made and my friend tried the pasta and bean soup. The portion was huge. Pizza toppings are a personal matter, but if you want to really get the authentic Italian experience, don't forget the anchovies on your pizza! A little goes a long way! This visit I had pasta instead of pizza, specifically Beef Ravioli with cheese and meat sauce. It was good and I'm going to explore the pasta offerings more thoroughly as we enjoy future visits. You'll notice the staff is young and engaging. I've noticed over the years that a happy staff is a good bellwether of the quality of the dining experience. I always have fun with the cozy atmosphere at Cristino's. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

You seemingly seat yourself so we chose a table underneath the expansive oak in the back. Great seat but keep in mind that when you're in nature, some small bugs might fall off the branches lol! The service was great although we had a couple mixups with our ordering. We ordered a cheeseless pizza for my allergic husband but it arrived with vegan cheese (made with nuts, which he's also allergic to). They ended up attempting to correct the issue and were very apologetic but again the incorrect pizza came out only minus cheese so he was able to ultimately eat it. We didn't have the heart to tell our server it was wrong again and we were very tired since it was getting late. I ordered the fig pizza which was delicious albeit a little dry. I would ask for a dipping sauce next time perhaps. I think we will be back but it will take me convincing my husband it's a safe choice. I didn't try the mozzarella triangles myself, but others at our table said they were delicious. For mains, we ordered the "Combination for Two," lasagna, and the special of the day, a parmesan-crusted salmon. The salmon was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The combination platter itself was very generous--easily enough for three people depending on your appetite. It came loaded with fried eggplant, two sausages, spaghetti, cheese ravioli, plus a basket of garlic bread. The bread was excellent, especially with the flavorful garlic butter seasoning. For dessert, we split the lemon cake with raspberry drizzle, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect ending to the meal. If I had one critique, it's that the red sauces across different dishes tasted very similar, which made it feel a little repetitive. That said, I definitely plan to return and try more dishes to explore the variety of flavors they have to offer.

The best part was that this was my daughter's very first lobster roll, and she LOVED it! Seeing her face when that giant lobster roll came out was priceless. I think we officially have another lobster roll lover in the family! My son went with the Lucky Burger, made with a brisket and short rib blend, and that was a hit too.
