The day before my daughter's wedding, we went in to panic mode as we realized the dress she was prepared to wear would not work. (Leaving out details on purpose.) While a friend was prepared to drive her dress over last minute we decided to make a stop at our favorite neighborhood consignment shop. When we walked in and asked Amber if they had a wedding dress, we were so relieved when she said there was one in back. It took our breath away as she carried it out!! When my daughter was in the dressing room, Amber astutely whispered the price but told us to just let her try it on. We're so thankful because our frugal daughter wouldn't have even put it on. We just had manicures so Amber helped button up the almost perfect fitting dress. My daughter looked like a beautiful bride! As we walked out the stores two ladies from our incredible community were there and offered to help pay for the dress. I didn't feel like I could accept such an offer and Amber recognized it needed facilitating. Again, her discretion as well as the ladies' went in to play as they worked out a donation toward the dress. Amber even contributed as well! I just had to share this experience to show Jet Set is not just another store, it's part of our community and the greater good... it's part of our lives! This isn't the first time we found just the piece we needed at the right time, but it's certainly the moment that will forever stick. Three cheers to Jet Set and our close community making good things happen in our lives! read more

Jet Set Bohemian - Wedding Dress from Jet Set Bohemian - Women's Clothing Near Me - Aptos, California

The pieces here are limited and I messaged the owner before hand on Instagram to confirm there would be pieces in my size. I got there and there were about 4 to choose from. The shop keeper assured me if I went to their other location in Santa Cruz there would be more but getting stuck on highway 1 traffic was not in the plan for that day. Overall, it would be nice to have a larger more diverse selection. Most pieces looked like they were for people 45+ read more

I loved this place. Great styles, good prices, and friendly service. I came in for some *CLASSIC* styles and they definitely had a few. I am not one who wants to dress like I am older than I am....and I felt like they had some gorgeous stuff for me. I will be back to see what more comes in. Too bad I am not a size 4 or else I would have stopped my search for the perfect dress as soon as I saw their display window (see my photo so you know what I was after, what I lean towards). If I lived on the other side of town I would definitely drive over to this side to go here. In Aptos Village next to Norma Jean's Coffee and the Bay View Hotel. read more

Jet Set Bohemian - Jet Set Bohemian - Women's Clothing Near Me - Aptos, California

I have been a customer at Jet set for 10 years and always loved it but the new owner is very snobby and uptight, my experience mirrored all the one star reviews and I only gave it 3 stars because I like the shop but she will bring this shop down. read more

I used to frequent Jet Set pretty regularly. The ladies were always helpful and gracious. The clothes relatively nice along with higher prices. The last couple times I was in, a long haired, bespectacled, pretty woman assisted me, if you can call it that. When I asked a couple simple questions, she acted annoyed, like I was interrupting something really important, even though I was the only woman in the store. After that, I put my selections back and left. The last time I was there, I found a nice black dress, but it had a tear at the base of the exterior zipper, so I asked for a discount. The same snooty person as before looked at me like I was asking for a free rack of clothing. She did give me a minor discount, so I purchased the dress and got out of there as quickly as possible, so small talk, no eye contact. Maybe she bites too! I haven't been back. This woman should not be in a service business. read more

This place is amazing, and their variety can't be beat. I have purchased some staples that are classic. Customer service is also fantastic. I'll always come back and support Jet Set! You gotta check them out in Aptos and Midtown Santa Cruz! read more

This is an upscale consignment store that tends towards more "mature" styles. You'll see more St. John than Betsey Johnson, know what I mean? I find the prices a little steep for used clothes, but I'm a bargain whore, so why listen to me? It's aight, but not worth a special trip to Aptos. read more

BUYING: Jet Set has a great selection of designer clothes at a bargain price. REALLY a Michael stars shirt for only $12 what a deal!!! I especially love the way the store is set up by color it makes it super helpful when shopping for that perfect something to complete your ensemble. The staff is always friendly and helpful. SELLING: They are pretty selective so make sure your items are clean, in excellent condition, in season, and stylish. Payment is fair and I never feel jipped unlike some other bigger trade stores, Jet Set makes me feel like a business partner not someone they just scr***ed over for their $$$ Happy consigning read more

Wandered in this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of clothes and designer options. I found the owner to be very friendly and helpful! I left with a cashmere sweater and a few other treasure finds. Will be back for sure! read more

This is only a reflection of the unfriendly customer service lacking individual that was in the store when I came in. Very happy after Christmas and looking to find something nice for New Year's, I walked in and was not greeted. Was not asked if I needed help. I walked to the register to look at the jewelry, was not acknowledged by the person behind the register in anyway. Can only lead me to believe that they do not want to sell anything, or at least not sell anything to me. I do not recommend the store. I entered Caroline's next-door, and asked if Jet set Bohemian was part of Caroline's. As the friendly volunteer cashier was explaining no, the store next-door is not part of Caroline's, two people said they had had less than friendly experiences next-door (At Jet Set Bohemian) and after one visit did not plan to go back again. This is sad because if one has clothes on consignment, there are many missed opportunities occurring, due to lack of customer service experience. read more

I love this space. Jet Set Bohemian has been a staple in the community for cool, classic and current consignment for years, and I have a hard time leaving empty handed. I always feel welcomed and as if I can take my time browsing without being pushed, yet always feel good when I ask for assistance in finding exactly what I'm looking for. The woman who helped me the last time I was in was funny and kind, and her knowledge about fashion was apparent- she's a sharp dresser herself. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for great clothes at a great price, be sure to stop in. Consignment shoppers rejoice, Jet Set has you covered. read more

I recently purchased a pair of leather booties here. I saw them on Instagram and the owner was kind enough to hold them for me until I reached the store. They fit like a dream, were in amazing condition and the staff was so helpful and welcoming. Totally a bargain as well! I was rushing during traffic in the evening and showed up 5 minutes to close. They made me feel like they would have stayed open for me all night. No feeling of being rushed at all. Such a wonderful selection of clothing for everyone. Check it out you will love it! read more

Love this consignment store. Set up like a boutique, and the clothes are well taken care of. The store is a bit pricey, but has name brand clothes that are practically new. The woman working in the shop was very friendly and helpful. read more

This place is awesome. Everything is arranged beautifully, very clean and neat. There are a lot of nice quality items that are priced reasonably. The owner is wonderful, she's personable and helpful, never pushy or hovering. Great place to have in the community. read more

Great customer service and selection! I came in with minutes to spare before a last minute appointment and the woman there spared. I time and picked out for me the perfect blouse. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I enjoy browsing around in this local consignment shop hoping to find a deal or two. Their clothing is very expensive for a consignment shop so I find myself just browsing and never end up buying. Many items prices are close to the real price you would pay in a normal department store. It's a bummer that the owner takes advantage of the Aptos community. read more

I wish I could say good things as I love clothes and I love a bargain but this stores clothing is more expensive than if you buy it new on sale, and who these days is paying full price? Everyone knows the costs of clothing, I think the only customers are the women who have to jump through all the hoops to have clothes on consignment read more

A 'must stop' when In Aptos! One of my favorite shops-Clean, well organized, easy to move through to survey The Carefully selected variety of stylish clothes, including shoes, purses, scarves, jewelry-i always find something . Reasonably priced and friendly people, I'm happy to give them my business. read more

I need to visit more often. Every time I do, I find GREAT pieces at GREAT prices. I am very thankful for the ladies before me who have tired of the affordable additions to my closet. The service is always kind and not pushy. And they have some of the best dressed windows in the area. I always look forward to seeing what is new as I drive by. read more

First Class, Consignment. Best kept secret. I love this place. Classy clothes in great condition. Everything from conservative/dressy to cute/casual. I NEVER leave empty-handed. I give myself a $100 budget because I could easily spend more. And for $100 or less, I usually walk out with a few tops, a skirt or 2 and a pair of pants. I am a very picky shopper who likes comfort and style with a bit of a flair. Great selection for layering and adding pieces of flavor and comfort to your closet, everything from Goddess Wear and Free People to Gap. I used to buy a lot of second hand but rarely do anymore because I can't stand the smell of most second hand stores and I question the cleanliness of the clothes. Not so at Jet Set! Jet Set feels like I'm walking into a clean, hip, stylish, upscale friend's closet and I get to buy! read more

I really like this store. I have found some really great pants here; somewhere I have a size twin that gets rid of a lot of really cute jeans! This store is a definite jewel here where everything seems so expensive, and you are supporting the locals! Give it a shot read more

This place is great. They only take top quality top condition clothing. The gal that owns this place is so nice and helpfull to.

It's my other closet and it's FABULOUS! Been living in Aptos temporarily and this place is the best "go to" spot for upscale, tried and true clothing. Everything is clean and currently in style. Shopkeeper is super friendly and knows her merchandise. This place has helped me out in a pinch for a unexpected business dinner and an impromptu trip. Save yourself some time and money and avoid traffic! read more

Nice Resale Shop with a great selection of cute women.s' clothing

Love this shop so much. Been shopping here for 15 years or more. The most friendliest staff. Such cute and affordable clothing, great quality. I was just there yesterday and picked up the cutest yellow sweater and Jeans. So far have gotten so many compliments wearing my sweater today. A must stop when in the Aptos area. It's where I do my clothing shopping. read more

Love this store!!! Has a great selection, I know its a consignment shop but where does she find these eclectic selection of clothing. It is so much fun to shop there. read more

I love this store, there are always a couple or more beautiful things I really love to ad to my wardrobe, and it is fun to bring my no longer needed nice things to them to sell as well. read more

This store is nice, always well stocked but it tends to appeal to the conservatively inclined. I like the boutique, funkier items that are otherwise hard to find, and sometimes find something I love. They have a great location, and the front window always looks enticing. The one thing I really don't like at all is that they carry counterfeit designer purses. That's So Wrong! And it caters to the fake status object buyers, which I can't stand. But for the most part it's a nice store. read more

Be careful if you ever sell here, as they don't keep track of what you've dropped off. My items were returned to me minus a nice Anne Klein three piece skirt suit that i didn't realize wasn't in the bag until I got home. I called and inquired about it, gave a thorough description (size 4P, white jacket and matching white sleeveless blouse, black skirt, linen) and the person said she'd make a phone call and get back to me. It's almost a month later and I still haven't heard back. If they sold it I deserve the money, and if not, I should certainly have received it back ASAP!! read more

I absolutely love this consignment store. I have found my favorite items of clothing and pairs of shoes here. I love following the Instagram because the owner posts the cutest stuff and you can see when they are available right away. Also the quality of clothes that are in the store are amazing. Those brands cost so much money and you can find them there at an affordable cost. I would not be able to afford the original cost of those items. The best part is that she is very good at making sure that most of these clothes are still in absolutely amazing condition and will last in your closet forever. This store still has its integrity. The owner and her mother have had this store for decades and it is a business that has been passed down. This family has the best taste. Also when walking in you feel like you are at home. Super welcoming environment. Most of the consignors are people that have been consigning there for years there would not go anywhere else. Most of the shoppers are people who have come back time and time again. There is a lot of loyalty in this shop which I value. If you shop here you know your money is going to a real long time local business. If you want classy clothes shop here. read more
