After a few years of sterile and bland yoga at The Y (that's not meant as a knock) it was nice to…read morejump back in the deep end at a place that's whole hog when it comes to incense burning, the trippy and atmospheric music floating through the building, and all sorts of 'new age' doohickeys decorated throughout.  (My very first class and the instructor pulled out a Shruti box to play at the very start and end of our practice... that was a first for me.) The entire biz looks great (front/store, the studio itself, the locker room in back).  It's clean and inviting and you can tell the entire staff cares about the place. I love that the class doesn't face the mirrors for class (the absolute worst) and every few feet there's the 'STUFF' bucket (napkins, tissues, cleaning solution for your mat) which is such a great 'cherry on top' that I never saw in other yoga studios I've been to. Pricing is solid (I was originally lured here through a deal over at Groupon). To date I've bounced between four different classes/levels/instructors.  Each class was unique and challenging and every teacher has been welcoming, supportive and a total pro. The studio is right by a busy intersection - metered parking on the street (I believe an hour max) and a municipal lot behind the studio (metered till 6pm, I think) for more than one hour. Even if I'm officially long in the tooth and nowadays Child's Pose and Shavasana are more my jam instead of Bhairavasana or Eka Hasta Vrksasanav - I'm just glad to have found a cool place to get on the mat and zen out for a spell.  (Will I ever advance up to their 'P3' hot yoga class?  Not even with some help from Ganapati and Hanuman!)

I have completed 3 sessions, and each time, I am amazed at how great my mind, body, and soul feels. I attended a 8:15 session, and the sweat, that you release, along with the stretching was very good for my achy body. I could not keep up with the pace as a newbie, but Mike is so kind to let you go at your own pace. I recommend bringing a beach towel to line your yoga mat because, you will slip, and slide from all the sweat you release. Also bring a gallon of water, you will need the hydration. I love at the end of class, Mike gives a cold towel that has soaked in eucalyptus. After an intense work out you feel like the angels of earth has opened up the sky's; that's really how good the cool wet towel feels. My favorite part is at the end of the class, there is a awesome meditation. I love how it clears all the unimportant stuff in your head space. I walked in with things on my mind. I walked out feeling love for humanity, peace, happiness, and more aligned with my inner true self. Sleep- Oh my, I got the best sleep of my life. I normally do magnesium flakes in a hot bath. But hot yoga gave me the best sleep of my life (I repeat) I believe in going to bed in happy, peaceful state. And this is my new go to for an intense work out, sweat out all the junk, hydrate like crazy, and sleep better than anything in this world. This is the cure for insomnia! This is probably the best one in terms of the actual practice. The studio is located in a slightly busy street. There is a municipal parking lot behind the studio, so make sure you bring change for the meter (which is free after 6). I used to come to the 6pm classes so it was great. I am really bad with names so I do not remember the name of the instructor. She was a young instructor who really pushed you to try new things. Also, on the other hand, she allowed people to try something less challenging in case some pose seemed too much for them. The classes were small which for me is very important. I am relatively new to yoga so I know that it is important to learn the proper way to perform certain poses and I think a big class is hard to manage in the sense of a one-to-one approach. I left this studio so energized and having sweat A LOT! Which I actually enjoyed. The room is slightly heated. Make sure you bring water. Also, I recommend bringing your own mat. They provide some in the studio but...they are a bit too thin for my taste. The studio is a bit far from me. It is a good 30 minute drive (without traffic) which is the only con for me. I would really enjoy coming here again. I actually have thought about it so I recommend it to anyone interested in getting a great workout and getting some relaxation at the same time! My sister had had a reading with Drew and swore by him, so my skeptical butt decided to give it a whirl too. Drew had predicted a ton. He saw that I was at the time "living in a cave" (a 1-BR on the UWS that faced a brick wall ) but that I would be moving to an area with a ton of sun (which would eventually be LA with my future husband), that I would be married (check- got married Aug 2020), that fertility wouldn't be a problem (check- 1st baby in 2021). He even saw images relating to my now-husband's profession. I'm writing this review (finally!) in 2025 and still can accurately recall a lot of details from this 1st reading, probably because a lot of what he predicted came to fruition. Be skeptical as you will, but I will tell you that Drew's exact words to me in 2017 were, "Oh, you're worried about fertility? You're very fertile. You're going to have 2 kids. A boy then a girl" He then paused, then blurted out, "No, a girl THEN a boy. I'm rarely wrong about that". I was single then, so those words were meh to me. But then lo and behold, after having met this man that Drew predicted, we had our girl in 2021 then our son in 2023. It was craziness already having an idea of both genders while I was pregnant. He also predicted the neighborhood that we'd live in with great accuracy. To further the craziness, Drew had accurately predicted my sister's future love (during her own reading).. down to his exact mixed ethnicity. I swear, I have no idea how to explain Drew's ability to see other than he just has a remarkable gift. I'm a woman of science and believe in concrete, tangible evidence.
