I'd heard about this place and finally got to visit. Yelp map gets you to the door, it's off the beaten track in a neighborhood. The place is an overload of color and cool things to look at. I loved the interior, it's a lot of stuff and they do have their own gift shop. We started with margaritas and a tiny pitcher of mezcal. Delicious, smooth! I had the special of the day .. grilled fish & shrimp, rice, beans, corn tortillas.. yummy salsa. Put this one on your list of places to visit. They open at noon though so no breakfast. Plenty of indoor seating and street parking.

Eclectic little restaurant. Definitely not in the "touristy" part of town but worth going to. The decor is one of a kind and....awesome! Chickens, hogs, cats roaming in a pen right next to the tables. Weird but fun! The food was delicious and Jesse (who served us) was outstanding! If you're done with the Malecon or just want something very different give this place a try!

Love the Dia de Muerta decor

What a super fantastic dining experience! The employees were very attentive and friendly. Spoke perfect English. The server explained what the items were in detail. First time we have been served warm salsa with the chips. The Chicken Mole plate was a large grilled chicken breast smothered in delicious mole with a hint of heat. The atmosphere was a trip through states of Mexico via the decor. So much fun. The restaurant is away from the town town area, off on dirt roads. Not in the tourist area but easier to get to from Sandy Beach condo area. Ten minute drive. We'll worth the trip. If the restaurant was full it would be jumpin'. Highly recommend. Great value~

    Decor is over the top!

EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!! It was such a unique restaurant and LOVE The decor!!! The food was delish and service was top notch!!!

    Beautiful. Simple Nachos.

If we had to vote to keep only one restaurant in all of Peñasco it would be this one. Jesse's has great food, low prices, beautiful decor and the best possible owner for any service establishment. It's an outside restaurant that's inside. It's a basic menu with a heavy dose of love. It's and animal sanctuary and a Mexican History lesson. The best music, the nicest young kids learning to be sweet and a location hidden enough for navigational bragging rights. I've been to them all in this City. All of them. There are simply none better.

The place was cute, la food was tasty, great prices, good service but.... flies!!!!! So many flies all over our food it ruined the whole experience cause i got disgusted by that

Good experience for dinner out with the family. There was a festive atmosphere with tons of colorful decorations. The service was great and very friendly. The food was good...chips and salsa were good; nachos were very good; burritos were okay (would have been better with less onion); fajitas were good; the tortillas were great. Great value for pretty good food.

This is our favorite restaurant in Rocky Point. The food is great and very reasonably priced. And then, there's the fantastic decor.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. Servers were friendly & attentive. Food was made to order, came out hot & super fresh. Can't beat the homemade tortillas. I had the breakfast burrito which was filling I only ate half. Friend had the breakfast skillet which was piping hot. The pancake was buttermilk & very tasty. Only thing was, I didn't see a bathroom but once outside, I noticed there were stairs to go upstairs where they do karaoke. Maybe the bathroom is up there. They accept cash & cards. Would recommend!

Our service was excellent: timely and efficient. Our meal consisted of Guacamole with Chips to start, Coconut Shrimp and 3-Flags Enchiladas with two glasses of Red Wine (sorry, no varietal description). The chef/cook must have prepared all the courses on-site because everything was prepared and cooked perfectly, and the plates reflected the expertise. $39 for the meal before the tip. As mentioned in a prior post, the restaurant is on Calle 13 across the the Hotel Señorial. After having driven past this block at least a hundred times, I'm amazed we just now tried this restaurant. We'll be back, repeatedly.

Pollo Lucas has been in the community for decades and they seem like a staple related to fresh chicken in the town. Similarly to other places, there are vendors and men outside who want cash for helping you park. The seating inside offers a lot of spots, but vendors do come inside and ask if you're interested in purchasing other goods. This restaurant does take card payments, but prefer cash/pesos. Most of the workers do not know English, so be prepared and know at least some basic Spanish words beforehand. If not, it'll still be okay! The women at the counter were very kind and helped us get seated. My group shared one chicken (240 pesos) with rice, beans, and salsas. I grabbed a homemade juice that was yummy too. Note that the chicken comes with cabbage, onion, salsa, limes, and tortillas but the other sides are seperate. The chicken was so hot, fresh, and flavorful. Everything was delicious and we ate it all with no leftovers. The chicken is charbroiled and you can see it all cooking. It made it hard to wait for the food, as it smelled amazing, but it's worth the wait. We'd 100% come back again.

We ordered the Vampiro with papas (285 pesos), a carne asada taco (40 pesos), and a quesadilla with carne (70 pesos) and 2, 12-ounce Mexican Cokes (60 pesos). Altogether, we spent $22.22 for lunch. We noticed on this trip that Rocky Point prices were very similar to what we were spending in the United States. This place is very clean and we sat at the inside dining. Note: they only take cash here, DO NOT order assuming you can use a debit card. They are generous with the topping tray, which includes: lettuce, 2 salsa, an avocado sauce, limes, and cucumbers. To be honest, these are large portions and we would have been full with just the Vampiro with potatoes. The Cokes with real cane sugar are always better than our American ones with high fructose corn syrup. A small portion of the beef was a little grisly with fat. I subtracted one star for this and the fact that they ONLY take cash. This is a decent, clean eatery. They offer their entire menu with either corn or flour tortillas.
