WARNING. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. Not kidding when I tell you this dental office ruined my life. I was told I need a bunch of fillings and had a bunch of cavities, needed multiple root canals, wisdom teeth removal, and needed to spend a LOT of money. I had two dental insurances at the time. They drained both of them quickly. They split every single thing I need done up into individual appointments. I had to come in 3 times to get all four wisdom teeth removed. I had two root canals done and was told I needed one more and had multiple cavities. They drained my insurance to the point that it wouldn't be covered and told me to wait until the next year. Lo and behold, I visit a very reputable and kind dentist who sees my teeth and tells me I didn't need a root canal for the last one that Jess Ranch Dental said I needed, only a small filling, and that I didn't need any other fillings or have any other cavities. I was shown how awful and oversized my crowns were for the root canals I did have done by Jess Ranch. They are MASSIVE and do not match my teeth at all, and one of them is causing my gums to recede. My doctor also believes I may have metal poisoning from the crowns, which can impact your health in other ways. At the time I went to Jess Ranch, I was under the age of 26 and covered by my parents dental insurance. I also badly needed braces to get jaw surgery, and Jess Ranch knew this, but would not sign me off as "clear" to get braces for my orthodontist without me having more work done. Now I am 27 - do not have good dental insurance through my family's job anymore and am going to have to come up with the money myself for braces, still no jaw surgery done. My jaw causes me pain and clicks all the time. It's a daily reminder that I'm behind on taking care of my health due to this dentist. If not for them, I would have had braces followed by needed surgery long ago, and they would have been covered. I also can't afford the replacement crowns right now, the ones needed to replace my awful massive oversized crowns that they installed. My dentist showed me how my teeth/bite is messed up and not aligned due to the size of the crowns. My bite feels off and I constantly notice it. Oh and as if I needed to add another thing, the front desk here often had a horrible attitude. Often. All the time. I will not bother even going into that. See other comments from other reviews. I have never hated an establishment *so* much in my life, it's been years and I needed to leave a review because I cannot believe there are places that will PERMANENTLY mess up your mouth and drill holes and remove teeth just to get as much as money as possible out of you. They got as much money as possible out of a vulnerable girl in her 20's who didn't know to get a second opinion and blindly trusted what was told. According to other specialists, I likely did not need any of the root canals I had done here and now there are teeth gone and awful crowns in my mouth ruining my face that may start causing infection. I also could have had my jaw surgery taken care of by now and would be getting my braces off already if they had signed me for clear to get braces instead of making me wait to get a laundry list of work done by them first. I have cried multiple times over how frustrated this makes me feel. It makes me feel violated things were done to my teeth/mouth that could have been avoided. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Very Frustrating and Unprofessional Experience This was my first time trying to get seen at this dentist office, and I've now been turned away three times even though I'm assigned to them through my insurance and have provided all my information. The first time, the doctor had an emergency and they closed early, but no one called to let me know because they had my number wrong. The second time, a staff member told me I needed to bring my medical ID number, so I went home to get it, even offering to pay the copay just to be seen. She verbally scheduled me for Friday, but never actually entered the appointment. When I came back the third time with the medical ID number (which my insurance confirmed was all they needed), the same lady refused to let me be seen because I didn't have a physical copy, even though she said they already had all my information. Other staff members seemed willing to help, but she always takes over and makes things harder. I've wasted multiple trips, gas, and time just trying to get a simple appointment. This office really needs better organization, communication, and consistency. read more

This review has nothing to do with the Dentist!!! He's great! The accounts payable manager is what this review is about! I went to the Dentist for my regular teeth cleaning, and was told I needed to pay an extra $200.00 for additional antibiotic ointment for gum disease. I do not have gum disease, and I was told to come in every 3 months! My Insurance DMO, said that was only optional, and 2 visits a year are free for cleaning. The money manager told my wife the same thing, and she had already quit going. I called other Dentists, and they all said that this was an optional service, but the money manager here told me I would have to go somewhere else...And, I sure did! I was so disappointed, as I had been going there for years. There were way too many financial surprises, that even the actual Dentist was unaware of! My Insurance company told me to try a different place, and I am so glad I finally did! read more

extremely pleased with Jess Ranch Dental (Kaiser)! I just became a patient of Jess Ranch Dental (Kaiser) in June 2024. Their office is clean, neat, the staff is caring and professional! I had regular dental care from two dentists until five years ago when we changed insurance plans. My dentist at that time was unable to isolate the cause of my difficulty chewing on the right side of my mouth. Hello Everyone so last week I went to Jess Ranch Dental to get my front tooth fixed one of my fillings came out so 1st day I went in to make appointment to have it done the front end lady Hispanic looked at me a and said the if my tooth wasn't decayed that I would have to pay full price I told her that my insurance would cover it due to it being a tooth in front of my mouth she kept repeating that to me and told me to come back the following day at11 am to get the work done once she speaks to my insurance company. Next day I show up with all of my information from my dental insurance pricing and everything the dr checks my tooth the walks away tells me to wait for the receptionist she comes and tells me that they needed to talk to my insurance due to the reason they way my bite is. She ends me home making me wait for a response for another appointment. By that night, I already felt like they didn't wanna take me because my tooth wasn't decade. So it wasn't worth paying attention to me. As a patient. The Doctor doesn't take anyone that doesn't have a big bill. I ended up going to another Dentist, and they took me in within that week. That way my insurance can transfer to their place, but if I were you guys do not go to just ranch dental. All they want is money from you. I just couldn't believe that that show it so clearly that they don't wanna attend to you. As long as you're willing to give the money, or the insurance is willing to give them money. The lady denying me from the moment I walked in. She looked at me, didn't even ask for insurance information. She just judge me. By what I look like automatically told me she needed to tell me that if the tooth was not Daddy that I would have to pay out-of-pocket. The full price never gave me a price only gave me expectations on an Appointment. I ended up calling my insurance company. They told me it everything was covered and that I should not have any problems to find out that the Dentist was like speaking to my insurance company, telling them that they did not want to do my work, because my tooth was not decade, and that they weren't gonna do it for me guys. Be aware of what Dentist people you guys are going to because this place is a red flag. Be very careful. Another thing. This Doctor likes to get on peoples comments and fight back with the customer. Dr. Kalra and his dental staff provided excellent dental service for the 2 crowns I received. But beware, if you have insurance be sure to contact them yourself and verify your benefits. If you are paying out of pocket, be sure to check prices before services are rendered. His office staff doesn't share the same professionalism as Dr. Kalra I learned my lesson. They accept delta dental which is good, but my mom didn't like the dentist. He acted as if $1,000 isn't much but not everyone has a stable income. He hardly did anything and only checked the inside my mom's mouth and commented on a couple of things she needed to get done. No cleaning done or anything else after. read more

Jess ranch dental is a very caring dental office. In my first visit they were very helpful explaining me the procedure that I was going to get. Dr. Kalra is very nice and gentle. I felt no pain with my deep cleaning very good at his job and he is very kind person. They dont want my business. They have been telling me to check in at a later date for authorization approval since December 2022. Today is April 2023. I finally received a letter from my insurance stating that my procedure has been approved but the office staff are not motivated to get me into the office at all. Very offensive. To my surprise the professionalism and atmosphere in the Office was awesome. Dr Karla was thorough in the consultation and made me feel assured that I was in good hands. Rude staff...Go to them if you don't care how you are treated. They mix up things and blame the customer. I don't need attitudes and certainly won't use them. My friend warned me about this office and I said I'd give them a chance. Lesson learned. Second review. Was just told today that my root canal I had done here was not done correctly and never healed correctly. I now have to go to a root canal specialist to "try" to get it corrected because it is failing. Also the "porcelain" crown I bought is ceramic. II paid cash and a lot of it for these services it was not covered by insurance. read more

Grate customer service very low on price, any questions I had they answered and walked me through everything before doing anything and they actually show you what's going on in your mouth and what they're going to do. Okay it's quite obvious you don't get the point. My insurance covers a basic cleaning which is what I wanted to have done. Even though it may need a deep cleaning, a basic cleaning would've still improved my situation and when I could have afforded it I would've come back to have the deep cleaning done. As it is I'll never go back and neither will many of your customers. We talk in the waiting room you can't believe how dissatisfied many of them are. I understand what a deep cleaning is and why one needs to have that done. I also understand when you go to the dentist and everything they want to do for you is additional. My wife has had some dental work done there over the past few months. She has had a couple of cavities and a root canal done threr. The last thing was a simple cavity that has gone WRONG!!!! She has been in great pain like I have never seen before!! Her cheek and neck swelled up bad. We called the So called Dr office time after time with NO ANSWER!! They don't return phone calls! WE called all weekend.. Nothing.. I called 7 times monday and finally got an answer around 11am! WTF!! I stated my wife needs to be seen and the lady could care a less!! We decided o go down and have her looked at. The Dentist said for her to take Pain pills, Antibiotics and to come back in a few days. Well.. Its been a few days and NO ANSWER AGAIN!!!!!! Best Dentist ever!! I have been a patient of Dr. Kalra for a couple years and everytime I go it is a great experience. First time I went in I had my wisdom tooth extracted and I experienced no pain during or after the procedure, I even drove home. Today I went in for filling and again NO PAIN during the procedure!!! He is so gentle and understanding of you. He left my tooth looking amazing as if I never had anything done to it! I visitd this office for an exam. A soon as I walked in I was greeted nice by the front office lady. I was called to the room 5 mins after I finished my paper work and insurance checked. I loved the fact that they are digital. I was able to see my xray on a bigger screen. So when dr. Kalra explained my situation I was able to see and understand what he was talkin bout. What I really liked bout this office was that they didn't push me into gettin any treatment I didn't want to do. They worked around my concern, schedule, and pocket. They offered like 3 different ways on how I can pay for my treatment. Make story short...dr. Kalra and his staff met my expectations and deserve a 5 star. One thing I also noticed! I went there one time because of an infection in a tooth that had a root canal. The Dentist there stated that it had no integrity left and that it needed pulled. Instead of waiting for the infection to go away he had me come in the next day.... He had a check of a time pulling it and then removing the rest of the material. If it was so weak why was it so hard to pull? I regret not waiting for the infection to go. It probably would've been fine. Best Dentist in the High Desert. Very Clean Office with a Great Staff. I am terribly afraid of getting Dental work done and avoided going to tge Dentist years which led to me needing a lot of work. I am always put at ease by the Doctors chair side manners and explaination of procedures . I've been a patient since March 2017 and have gotten an array of work done at this office which includes 10 tooth bridge which took care of my 5 missing tooth problem, 4 fillings, deep cleaning, polishing 2 extractions and 2 root canals. I am very pleased with my 2018 beautiful smile that I get constant compliments on. read more

They did a great Job for what I wanted done. And Informed me of my options at every step of the way. I like Honest People and Believe them to be of Integrity and work standard is high. They are reasonably priced but don't let that scare you. Basic Office? Yes, but I don't need a foot massage while I wait and waterfalls...I need no nonsense work and done in an acceptable amount of time-On these points they were tops in my opinion. I brought my son into the office, after making an appointment. Because he was complaining of a tooth ache. The wait was 45 minutes after the appointment time. The dentist looked at my son said he would have to reschedule an appointment due to him not having the proper equipment at the time for this procedure. We asked him to give our 14 year old son something for the pain, because his unable to get sleep at night. So so much pain. well now my son has an abscess tooth. Not going to see this dentist again. I complained to my insurance. And they said this dentist is already overcharging already. I don't recommend anyone this dentist at all. read more

I have never experienced a more discourteous front office in my 63 years of going to dentists. After making an appointment and being on hold 3x, I was given a 5 pm appointment, and my son's x-rays were sent to them immediately afterward (from a far better dentist).At 4:09 pm we received a phone call that they were canceling the appointment because the dentist did not do fillings on front teeth. I showed them the x-rays which indicated that the cavities were on each of two molars and only 1 back tooth. To my face the dental assistant lied and said there were two fillings required on the front teeth. he also lied in stating that the other office emailed them two hours later. I saw the email and they sent it at approximately 10 am. I had a bad experience with them previously when they did what they called a cleaning which was a simple polishing not even done by a dental hygienist but by a dental assistant not trained in cleanings! I assumed the dentist could at least perform a simple filling on my son, but in retrospect i am relieved that they cancelled the appointment because I feel that they are incompetent, untrained, ready to take money and do very little for the patient. I think they take advantage of non-English speaking patients who may be unfamiliar with excellent dental care, but I am very familiar with what that looks like and this place isn't it. When I went back to get my Xr-ays i was told they had destroyed them. Those were my personal medical records and they had no legal right to do so. I am reporting this office for medical Fraud as well as bad faith business practices. I would never go near this office again and I want to warn anyone thinking of it simply because of MediCal to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. I'd rather pay $300 then get free MediCal from these frauds. I think they have written these glowing tributes themselves because on both occasions when I was there only a few patients were in the waiting room and none spoke English.
