The homemade liverwurst is outstanding and represents a difference of night and day compared to the processed stuff in supermarkets. The veal loafs are tasty and great as cold cut or in bigger pieces to sautee. Real black forest or Westphalia ham among other typical german sausages are available. The ground meat is prepared fresh and looks and tastes so much better than the processed and chlorine treated ground meat in super markets. The ham shanks or ox tails are excellent as well. If you like quality meat and cold cuts, that's the place to go. That's where we buy our meats and cuts. Btw, prices are very competitive.

I don't have a clue of what they are using. So, I'd never been to Howard's Meats until their marquee said they had Paczkis available. My mom loves these, so I decided to stop in. The store is small but very clean with lots of prepared foods and a large deli filled with various meats (of course). The staff members were very friendly and showed me to the last box of raspberry Paczkis they had. They come in a box of four for $9-something. My mom thought that was expensive until she tried one (and I helped her, lol). She said they were the best she'd ever tasted because they didn't taste overly fried or greasy. Honestly, I'd never understood the fuss but have to say these were delicious! Staff members apologized that they were down to the last box and said they could take special orders - that they were made in-house.
