I thought I'd give Jersey Mike's Subs a try. I entered a store with six (6) visible employees trying to look busy. I was the only customer in the store. There were more workers than customers which was the first thing that hit me. Second, the menu wasn't that easy to decipher. All I wanted was a simple tuna sub. I decided to get just the 6" sandwich since adding the drink and a bag of chips was no bargain. I paid nearly $10 for just the sandwich. I know inflation has caused prices to surge recently but I did not feel my meager sandwich was worth 10 bucks after I consumed it at home. I live very close by. If I would have purchased the simple combo, I would have paid about $20 and that was much more than I was willing to pay for such a lowly presentation and not very appetizing endeavor. It just wasn't worth the asking price. Gee, imagine what a family of four (4) would pay to be fed here? Sadly, fast food chain restaurants are quiet the costly alternative to filling your stomach these days. You'll never get rich being a frequent diner at Jersey Mike's, nor can you count on getting a nourishing meal. Better options remain for the discovery, I'll let you seek and find them out. read more

Went to Jersey Mike's for the first time this evening. Arrived at 8:35 pm. We noticed their TV was off so we asked if we were too late to order. No, we were told. So, I ordered a Ham & Provolone and asked for it hot. I was told they couldn't heat it up. I'm confused.... I say, why can't I get it heated up? I am new to the area and type in a good customer and a happy customer of Jersey Mike's in the past. But I've tried this place about five times now and the people just don't seem to care that are providing service. There are one or two people that are that are fine and professional but the others just kind of hardly treat you like a customer. I ordered through door dash and my sandwich was made wrong. It was mainly my fault as I added ingredients but the app made it plain with the added ingredients when I wanted it mikes way with added ingredients. This is my 6th time here. I love the Philly sub with chicken, cheese, peppers and onions. This sandwich is served hot. You can choose from an assortment of breads. I prefer the rosemary cheese bread. It's a perfect blend of flavors in an awesome sandwich. The only comment I have is that the sandwich I order isn't always consistent. Sometimes it contains too much meat and veggies, while other times there's not enough meat or veggies to cover the bread. I end up pulling excess bread off the sandwich before eating it. When I visit the Jersey Mike's location in Flossmoor, IL, the sandwich is always consistent. In fact it's my favorite location. So, overall this Jersey Mike's in Indiana is just okay. They need a little help here. Placed an order online and when I went in to pick up my sandwich...it wasn't ready. The "not ready" part isn't why I'm giving this one star. What I really didn't like was the employee having a full-on meltdown right behind the counter. I didn't stick around to find out exactly what the issue was but it sounded like they were over worked and under paid. The employees here are usually really nice and do a good job. It was really disheartening to see someone so overworked and under appreciated by the owner that they were on the verge of a breakdown. They charged me 18 bucks for a sub with a sliver of meat. I can't believe someone would serve a meatless sub. The bacon had no taste and was very old. I wouldn't eat here again. read more

Here's the skinny: Cool staff They slice the meat there The Big Kahuna Philly Cheese Steak Door to the back parking lot Here's the fat: The staff is pretty cool here, talkative, easy to get along with and generally pretty awesome. There's a lot of choices for subs and the employees know 'em all. All the cold cut's are sliced right there, they've even got a meat slicers right on the front counter. The slicer is clean too, props especially because of the amount of meat that they must go through. If you're lookin' for something that really pops and gets your mouth watering, get The Big Kahuna Philly Cheese Steak. It's loaded! Extra Cheesy and is seriously on point when it comes to how everything is put together. Not one ingredient overpowers the other, they all just meld together perfectly. When the owners took over the new building they added a door in the back of the store to the secondary parking lot. This helps a lot because there is hardly any parking out front and can be kind of a pain. This place is really worth a look see if you haven't heard of Jersey Mikes. I have only been here once and that was enough. There was a very short line but when it was my turn to order I had to wait for 15 minutes before someone attended to me. I ordered the chicken philly. Then I waited while about 6 people who were behind me got their sandwich before me. I do want to note I was the only minority customer and hope that was not the reason why I was treated so poorly. Walked in for lunch today and found the atmosphere to be ok. Not dirty, but didn't feel clean maybe a tad cold feeling. Behind the bar looked like a mess. The grill where they cooked my chicken was very dirty I watched as they scrapped off way too much grime . Probably not a fair description, but was not appetizing. The order process is fine, but they were fairly unorganized. This is about the service and lack of training/listening/caring...I went into the Munster location at 1:10 on 1/9/22 and there were no customers or door dash orders, etc. The 4 employees were sitting at a table. No biggie, maybe taking a break from a earlier rush. I placed a online order today which I rarely do, I ordered a roast beef and cheese. I love their chipotle mayo to I wrote it in the comments because it wasn't listed as a selection. When I got there I asked the gentleman controlling if it was put on the sandwich and he said yes. I got back to my office and there was none sadly. Wow was I impressed with my first stop at Jersey Mike's! I have been wanting to try them for the longest because I get their coupons in the mail all the time. I definitely regret waiting. They make a fantastic sub sandwich. I tried the tuna, the Italian, and the Big Khahuna cheese steak, all were fantastic! Your choices of toppings include mayo, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno peppers, banana peppers, oil and vinegar, pepper and some kind of salsa. I'm sure that I'm probably forgetting something. They don't have the topping selection of Subway, but what they have is adequate. Now, let me tell you where they lose a star with me; THEY ARE FREAKING EXPENSIVE! A footlong is like $14.00 bucks with tax! I had a coupon to buy 2 footlongs and get the 3rd for $1.99 and my total was still $31.00! That's pricy for sub sandwiches. Another thing I didn't like; I bought one of their pickles and the guy reaches in the jar and pulls the pickle out with his hands! Granted he was wearing gloves, but it's like get a pair of tongs or something! Other than that, Jersey Mike's is a worthwhile stop. Overall my sandwich was really good! I love all sandwiches I've ordered from jersey mikes. From the hot subs to the cold subs all have been fantastic and the bread always taste fresh. I haven't had jersey mikes in months so I was excited to get a sandwich, but today the staff was a mess. Upon arriving the guy taking orders just stared at you and didn't ask if I was ready to order or if he was even ready to take an order just a dead stare at me. I'm laid back so it was more comical then anything. The girl putting the toppings on sandwiches completely had 0 care. I ordered 3 sandwiches only 1 was mike's way and she just started putting toppings on all of them and I kindly told her no that only the one was mikes way. I'm not sure if she had ear buds in and completely did not care what she was doing after the 3rd time of her not listening and starting to put vinegar on every single sandwich I had to tell her once again, the best part was when I was getting oregano on my sandwich the lid fell off and oregano mountain on top of all the sandwiches (not her fault it could've been other workers) the thing that got me was she didn't say sorry or that she would remake the sandwich, so I asked her to just take the toppings off because there was a line of probably 4 behind me and I wasn't gonna make her remake it, but an offer would've been nice instead of her rolling her eyes like it was my fault she dumped the whole oregano shaker on my sandwich. I've tried multiple types of sub sandwiches, some that I wouldn't normally try, and they all have been great. My most recent sub "The Grilled Pastrami Rueben" was terrific. I'm sorry Jersey Mike's has to bear the brunt of this review, but their landlord hired a company that is booting cars then charging crazy fines to remove. If you park anywhere from Starbucks to oberweiss, then go to shop at any stores not in that area, you will get booted. These are words directly from the representative. I went into the store the other day and I was in a really big hurry to get to work. My break had just ended and I still had not eaten yet. I walked in and it seemed like it was sort of busy which isn't usual. This young man I think his name was jahseer or jahzire took my order and made my sandwich in less than 5 minutes. I ask the cashier ( who literally everyone made repeat himself because he was speaking so softly) where are sandwiches are and he tells me on the grill even though they had been on the table behind him for at least 10 min.
